Pictures of Trayvon Martin

The result of the discussion was: car photo deleted, hoodie photo not deleted - it seems like there was pretty good consensus at the other discussion too for deleting the car photo and, as both editors pointed out here, no reason to retain both. -- B ( talk) 11:44, 19 February 2015 (UTC) reply

These are used in two articles, Shooting of Trayvon Martin and Trayvon Martin.

It is totally unnecessary to have non-free photos of this person in the "shooting" article as you could simply refer to the article about the person. This is essentially the same thing as WP:NFC#UUI §6, except that Trayvon Martin isn't an artwork but a person. Therefore, both images should be removed from the shooting article.

As the person is dead, it is conceivable to keep one image in the article about the person. However, there is no need for two pictures, and the article currently violates WP:NFCC#3a for this reason. Additionally, the files do not have fair use rationales for this article.

Conclusion: One of the files should be deleted. The other file should be removed from the shooting article and have its fair use rationale fixed. -- Stefan2 ( talk) 00:19, 10 December 2014 (UTC) reply

  • Delete, speedily if need be. The image was uploaded by a new editor who wanted me to see the image as it was laid-out in IE11. Since I have it, I didn't need it. I have since changed the templates used to draw the map. In short, there's a problem with the way other templates render in IE. Walter Görlitz ( talk) 07:08, 11 December 2014 (UTC) reply

Unidentified person. Maybe intended for Brodinski which was deleted as a copyright violation. No foreseeable use. Stefan2 ( talk) 23:39, 10 December 2014 (UTC) reply
