Reason: The name is similar to an article and company name for an article which I am editing. They are possibly seeing this as a conflict of interest. I only chose this name because I like Babaji and Kriya Yoga, yet do not intend to imply that I am connected with this organization, so I would like to remove this ambiguity. Reason: My username has been annoying lately. Rude editors including admins use it in variations of "Chill, Joe" which is annoying. In one case, I reported an editor for telling someone to fuck off. Telling someone to fuck off isn't accepted in real life, but it is here because admins told me to chill out. I even asked Fluffernutter in their RFA about if the editor thinks that telling someone that is thought to be disruptive to fuck off is alright in some circumstances. The new admin with 100% support votes said no. The last time that it happened was on August 30. An admin told me to chill out on a matter that I wasn't even stressed about. It pisses me off that they go so far as to change my username in that way.

Done Not sure I followed all of that, but it's most irrelevant to the name change, which is done and if that helps lower stress for you, I'm delighted. If you're finding other users are rude to you, whether admins or not, please post a report at

Reason: I feel it was a bad idea to use my real name. I requested that I be changed to Pharusplan on August 13th (the other Pharusplan is me!) but while a new entry was created, my old name was not changed over into it, and my one existing edit did not switch to the new name. I would be grateful if you could help sort this out, with thanks, Peter Carr

I do not understand, Mr. Fox indicated that the current name is not liked. I understand why Zionism Is Racism is not liked. Why is Anonymous0000000001 not liked? It is as benign a name of which I can think. I do not know what "vanishing an account" means. — Preceding

Reason: Per
admin JamesBWatson's comment about my signature, I'm not sure how iffy it is for me to have a signature that doesn't match my username. Either way, my username is too long and ungainly for a signature that doesn't take up half a page. If it were CityOfSilver, I could have a normal-sized signature that matches my username, as well as a username that wouldn't take an hour to type every time I log in.
SilverCity02:57, 6 September 2011 (UTC)reply
Adding, I'd like to include a "contributions" link in my sig, and with my current name, my sig is too long by 14 characters. This change would fix this with room to spare.

Reason: When I first started, I was anxious about using my normal username on Wikipedia because I knew I'd be deleting some things and its possible some people wouldn't like it. In retrospect it was overly cautious. I'd like to change to Runfellow because I use it on many other sites and contexts and it makes sense for people who already know my other usernames to know this one as well for the sake of transparency.

Reason: I understand the conflict of interest in this and that they are for individuals. My goal is not to come and change anything that anyone else is making to the schools page, I truly believe in the freedom for changes and for this to be a community page. My only interest is accuracy, to ensure that the right principal is reflected and the right details are there - I would not be looking to 'market' the school through the page. I hope you will unblock the account, knowing that I would not be updating the page with anything that is not to do with accuracy. If unblocked I will also ensure I thoroughly read and obey the NPOV at all times. I inaccurately assumed at the beginning that anyone could write on the pages - including marketing. But I understand that it makes sense to have just community edit the pages for neutral positioning.

Done. What I've done is switch your accounts. Now, your contributions are all at Rudolfensis, and the account the previously held that name is now at Master of Science. You still control both accounts, they've simply been switched. To do that, I temporarily renamed Rudolfensis #1 to Rudolfensis temporary; Master of Science (#1) was moved to Rudolfensis (#2) which was occupied before #1, and Rudolfensis temporary (ex-Rudolfensis #1) was moved back to Master of Science (#2). A kind user more familiar with the consequences of username changes who might be willing to help me out noting the change in the appropriate places would have my deepest thanks right now.
