Keep. Not good enough reason to get rid of it, when this is a commonly recognized category used in published literature.
Categories are crude so we assume European/Celtic "identity" not just linguistic (Gaelic-speakers including Manx or Canadian patois of Scottish Gaelic) but ethnic (Irish immigrants), and geographic (including Cornwall or Brittany) --

For better or worse, Celtic folklore is not necessarily always used as a linguistic term if referring to modern folklore. It is a common term which in effect refers to British and Irish folklore which is not English or obviously from somewhere else?

Oppose - I look at this dab page
Celtic folklore, and that looks like a group of related pages to me. And I'm also surprised to hear that a category based upon
German folklore was deleted. The criteria question of: "Could an article be written about it?" seems to have been directly met in that case. And it looks like
Folklore is a valid course of study and research per
Folklore studies. So deleting these would seem to be a disservice to our readers. - jc3714:50, 28 August 2023 (UTC)reply
Delete original research. Much of the content of "Scottish folklore" for example is not Celtic in origin and therefore being placed in a subcategory of this fails verification and misleads the reader. At a minimum, the Scottish category would have to be moved out with only Scottish Gaelic folklore remaining classified here. But honestly I think it is better to delete. (

Nominator's rationale:WP:OCAWARD. A good faith contribution, but the
D.I.C.E. Awards are not "defining" awards in the way that Academy Award winners or the like are. List articles already exist for these awards and should be sufficient. See
previous discussion on an individual subcategory, which came to a delete conclusion.

I understand that some of the D.I.C.E. Award winners sub-categories did meet the standards of the categorization guidelines. Mobile Game of the Year was one that I was not very confident about. Two other categories that I won't object for deleting are the Immersive Reality Game of the Year and Immersive Reality Technical Achievement. Another user made the categories for all the genre awards (Action, Adventure, Family, Fighting, Racing, Role-Playing, Sports, and Strategy/Simulation) and Online Game of the Year. I wanted to be fair to all the awards and created categories for all the craft Awards (Game Direction, Game Design, Animation, Art Direction, Character, Original Music Composition, Audio Design, and Technical) along with the awards for Mobile Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement for Independent Game, Immersive Reality Game of the Year, and Immersive Reality Technical Achievement. Also, my initial intention was to redirect the category for Interactive Achievement Award winners to D.I.C.E. Award winners. I made the category for D.I.C.E. Game of the Year winners shortly afterwards. So I would like to propose that the categories for the genre awards be recategorized under the category:D.I.C.E. Genre Award winners and I would do the same with the craft awards under the category:D.I.C.E. Craft Award winners. I am also thinking about making the categories for category:D.I.C.E. Genre Awards and category:D.I.C.E. Craft Awards.

Delete Other awards in the industry like The Game Awards are defining, but the DICE ones not much so (given they are generally selected by publishers, not the press or public)

Nominator's rationale: These categories have always only contained one category for Jews. It would be fine if these categories were expanded and contained categories for other ethnicities but as they exist now, they seem redundant to only contain one category for one ethnicity. Nominator's rationale: Underpopulated stub category, with no evidence of approval by
Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting. As always, stub categories are not free for any user to create at any time for just a handful of articles -- the minimum bar for creating a stub category is 60 articles, and for that very reason they have to be proposed at the stub project for discussion on whether their creation is justifiable or not. But there are just nine articles here, and the creator did not propose it through the proper processes. I'm agnostic on whether the stub template needs to exist or not -- templates don't have the same minimum size requirements as categories, because they can easily file their articles into higher-level parent categories if necessary -- so if the template is kept, then it can just file the articles in ‹The
templateCategory link is being
considered for merging.›Category:Uzbekistan geography stubs, and if it's deleted then it needs to be replaced with {{Uzbekistan-geo-stub}} on the nine articles, but the category can't exist without at least 51 more articles than this.

Nominator's rationale: Two single-entry
WP:SMALLCATs on a
non-defining characteristic. We categorize musicians for the intersection of time period in which they worked with their nationality, but we do not have any established scheme of intersecting time period with their ethnic admixture -- but
Karen is the latter, not the former, and both of the two people categorized here are already in other appropriate "21st-century [nationality] [gender] singers" categories anyway. And even if this were desirable, it wouldn't be warranted for just one singer per category, as it does not aid navigation of the wikipedia to obsessively funnel everything down into microcategories of one.

Nominator's rationale: This could only ever contain these two articles on near and far side of the Moon, so is not needed. If not merged, rename to Hemispheres of the Moon. –

Delete. All of the categorized anthem articles and the article about the organization of fake states are dubious subjects, per

Nominator's rationale: Non-defining international organization. It's not even mentioned in some articles like
India (except in the category). In others, there was a lead mention but no body mention. (

Nominator's rationale: Non-defining for all category members, as far as I can tell. Some like Azerbaijan and Egypt don't mention the SCO at all. Two of them that I checked, Kuwait and Sri Lanka, mentioned the organization in the lead but not the body, but with no sign that this particular international organization membership is relevant. (Many states are members of dozens of international organizations, very few are defining). (
