Keep for its historical value. I've added it into
Category:German Army soldiers of World War II as it was in only the machinery/weaponry category tree and needs to be in the personnel side too. I would support creation of sub-categories for American and Red Army tank commanders as there are many of both in the parent. I'm surprised by the lack of British ones, though.

Keep but rename this is a bit of an odd categorisation (as is tank commanders for that matter) because some of the people on this list were commanders of units containing tanks, not necessarily involved in commanding a tank of their own (although some like Abrams did, as they were armoured corps/branch officers who did ride in a tank in the earlier and even later stages of their careers). I think it (the suggested rename and other nationality subcats) could do with being more clearly defined as being only for people who have personally commanded a tank. In a few of the articles in the cat, that isn't clearly the case.

Keep -- I see no need to rename: the fact that a panzer is a German tank of WWII era can be dealt with in a headnote. 9 articles is plenty large enough to keep.

The term “Chars d'assaut” hasn’t been adopted into common english usage, you won’t find in any english dictionary, unlike french words “ambulance”, “chauffer” or “dossier” for example. —-

Keep as is, the term “panzer” has been adopted into the english language to mean “German tank”, as evidenced by these dictionary entries:

[2],
[3], etc. —

Keep. This category structure was created to mirror the
ICD-10 categorization (see
https://icd.who.int/browse10/2019/en#/XVIII). This is an internationally recognized way to categorize all diseases and disorders in medicine. The ICD-10 calls the broad category "Symptoms, signs and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings, not elsewhere classified" (codes R00-R99). Amongst the subcategories of this, one is "General symptoms and signs" (codes R50-R69). These titles are what the ICD-10 uses. The categories have {{ICD category}} at the top explaining this categorization. --

Comment: I recently added a number of articles to this category based on the existing articles in it (perhaps prompting this discussion). In particular, I added many "List of people known as" lists, as the category had seemed incomplete for including, for instance
List of people known as "the Great" and not
List of people known as the Navigator. My perhaps incorrect interpretation is that the category is for
lists whose inclusion criteria is a person who has any name with a particular feature (e.g.,
reduplication or including a particular epithet). There is overlap between the categories, but they are distinct;
Category:Epithets is not only for lists and both it and
Category:Lists of people by nickname distinguishes that the name is not a given name or surname. This is a a long-standing category that appears to have had a fair number of pageviews; it can be renamed or its inclusion criteria can be clarified, but I'm unclear of the policy or benefit that would support deletion. —

Delete per nom, but make sure all entries are in one or both of the other two categories. I considered a rename but there is already a considerable parent/child
WP:OVERCAT, so I prefer deletion.

Merge too small a cat, and vague as to whether it is "Historians from Gorizia" or "Historians of Gorizia".
