Nominator's rationale: This category and its subcategories are newly created as categories for people, listing them by their Erdős numbers. It is non-defining (only important enough to list in a biographical article at all for close collaborators of Erdős with number=1, and usually not even then, certainly not in the lead), variable (it can change whenever any of the listed people publishes an article with a new collaborator with a lower number), requires original research to calculate (there is a reasonably-accurate database of people with number=2, and the American Mathematical Society has a web site that calculates short paths that go only through papers that it lists, but beyond that you have to do it through your own searching), and likely inaccurate. It is better handled by a list, not a category, and that list exists (limited to number=3). If the people are removed from its subcategories, only the article on Erdős numbers and the list would remain, failing

Delete Non-defining, likely to be variable, and better handled by
List of people by Erdős number. Comparing that list with these subcategories (7 pages, 5 pages, 5 pages, ...) it seems that nobody is that interested in using the categories or keeping them up to date, anyway.

Sorry, I intended that as part of the nomination. I've added them to the listing but if the format of that needs correction please go ahead and do that. —

Delete. It's kind of interesting trivia, but it's not a
WP:DEFINING characteristic of people for the purposes of justifying categories. And furthermore, as new literature in this subject area gets published all the time, it may be entirely possible for a person's Erdős ranking to change — but the likelihood that we'd actually be on the ball about promptly recategorizing people when that happens is pretty low, which is a maintainability problem.

Nominator's rationale: The use of terms such as protagonist and antagonist has been contentious in the past, to the point that
WP:PROTAGONIST was created as a way of addressing
original research concerns. Converting this category into a list will allow sources to be provided clearly establishing that the film belongs as a member of the list.

Oppose I am not sure how this made navigation much more difficult. Some of the articles had links to towns in x categories and some not. I was under the impression that cities should not go into towns in x because they are not cities. I would be happy if the towns in x categories were renamed to towns and cities in x. That way it is clear that the cities really do belong in the category.
Category:Cities in Northern Ireland has been unaltered and in any case 2 cities are missing. I believe I have merely added an extra way to navigate to the cities. In
Category:Populated places in Northern Ireland there is a category
Category:Towns and villages in Northern Ireland by county in the other 3 countries in the UK this category is named Populated places in x. Maybe this category should be renamed
Category:Populated Places in Northern Ireland by county to make it the same as the others. I don't mind much, but after trying to tidy the place up (for all of the UK) I would like a proper solution and not simply delete these categories just because you do not like them.

Picking one category from the existing tree at random,
Category:Villages in County Down contains 93 articles, so clicking the category from, for example,
Loughinisland takes you to a big, populated category where you can navigate to other villages in the county. If you are on the page
Derry and click the category
Category:Cities in County Londonderry, that's the only article in the category. From that category with only one article in, you could navigate to the following categories.
But if the intent is to aid the reader, they would be far better off starting at
Derry, where they could then click
Category:County Londonderry (which contains 13 articles and 15 categories), one of those categories being the already mentioned
Category:Geography of County Londonderry. Directing the reader into a navigation tree with lots of small categories and container categories containing no articles isn't helpful for navigation.

Delete a clear case of
WP:SMALLCAT grouping them in cities in Northern Ireland and Towns in County X (or similar) seems perfectly sufficient since each of the 7 cities are in different counties and a category with 78 pages is perfectly small enough not to need sub dividing, yes we usually do categorize by county but not in cases where each only has 1. Nominator's rationale: I don't feel like this is a notable categorization to have, in the context of the pandemic. We already have appropriate ones for films postponed and those that altered their release plans from theaters to VOD, but I don't see the need for this category. They would just be 2020 films included in
Category:2020 films. -

Delete. So far the pandemic is roughly contemporaneous with the year 2020, and the films released during this time do not otherwise have some characteristic which relates to the period of the pandemic.

Delete During this COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen films being released on OTT platforms which make sense as filmmakers can't keep their films on stock for a long time. I don't think there is a need to have a separate category like this.

Support The reason why I created it is because there was a keyword from IMDb called "film released during covid 19", so I felt like creating the category. Besides, who knows how long the COVID-19 pandemic will go? And Unhinged, The New Mutants, Bill & Ted Face the Music, Peninsula, and Tenet are the first movies to be released during the pandemic.

Delete I don't think we have films released during ... categories (WWI, WWII, the Thatcher years, whatever overarching event that tickles the subjective fancy). And we ought not.

Delete per nom. I don't see this being needed anywhere other than to point out that they released during a large-scale event, which as mentioned above, isn't used for others. It's more notable for films that were delayed or postponed in some way, especially since it isn't being used to cover video on demand or home video releases.

Delete. I can sort of see a case for Tenet being defined by this, given its marketing strategy — but I don't see as readily how it defines the other two films, or the films that haven't been included here, or the films that are getting released through the online versions of film festivals. There's no rule that we have to do something just because IMDb did it — in fact, in many cases (like backward filmographies), what IMDb does is a pretty damn good guide to exactly what Wikipedia shouldn't do. The category system is not just a tool for creating lists of just any random characteristic shared by two or more topics — we categorize articles by their
defining characteristics, not just on every individual bit of production or release trivia that it's possible to mention.
