- Propose merging Category:Birding and Category:Birdwatching to Category:Birding and birdwatching
- Nominator's rationale: What we have here is two categories that cover substantially the same subject. In fact, they share the same main article. Birding seems to be somewhat broader than birdwatching, but the distinction between the two terms is fuzzy and subjective, all of which is laid out pretty well in the main article at Birdwatching#Birding,_birdwatching,_and_twitching. The obvious solution is to combine the terms and merge the contents of the two categories into a single category, much as was done with ‹The template Cat is being considered for merging.› Category:Civil rights and liberties. - You must have only looked at Category:Birding -- but not at Category:Birdwatching. I just removed the 3 Ornithological subcats from Category:Birding, where they didn't belong in the first place; all 3 were already part of Category:Ornithology. - Delete. It looks like Galba's only natural children died in childhood, and are mentioned only in passing; they are unlikely to have articles written about them, leaving this a category of one. A category is only useful if it helps people find related articles that they might not see otherwise, and if the only other (unlikely) topics would naturally be found in the articles about Galba and his heir, a category for his children serves no useful purpose. - Propose renaming Category:Generals of Byzantine Emperors to Category:Byzantine generals by emperor
- Nominator's rationale: per parent category Category:Byzantine generals, per common practice of 'X by Y' categories, and per better phrasing: the generals were not of the emperor, they merely served under him (and any predecessors or successors) Constantine ✍ 23:23, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

- @ Marcocapelle: That's because I'm working on filling them; those four have just been around and filled before. Per WP:SMALLCAT "Note also that this criterion does not preclude all small categories; a category which does have realistic potential for growth, such as a category for holders of a notable political office, may be kept even if only a small number of its articles actually exist at the present time. - Keep - a swift glance at Category:Israeli military personnel reveals doctors and chaplains, airmen and sailors, who are not soldiers. This serves the usual purpose of a subcategory: to separate one variety of military personnel from the others. Oculi ( talk) 10:46, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
