The result was delete. As has been pointed out, the assertion that "high schools are notable" does not correspond to community consensus. Sandstein 08:35, 16 June 2018 (UTC) reply

  • Comment: This was approved through AfC recently, I had it in my watchlist, and I was surprised to see it approved as I couldn't see how it met the notability criteria. There are no doubt lots of articles about non-notable schools; I am not going to make a habit of nominating them for deletion. But I don't think we should be adding to them. The updated WP:NCORP and [ RFC] are clear enough, in my interpretation, that we shouldn't be creating more school articles without them meeting the WP:GNG criteria. As this is a newly created article, and appears to have no sources that would count towards notability, I believe we should consider it for deletion. • Comment: I respect your decision to possible delete my article. I however would like to have it remained. My reasons are: It has coverage in: • Newspapers • Published history books • Government related websites Furthermore the school has been involved in a movie issued in 2010. The school has a history and has been in existence for 65 years. User:Barry Ne
  • Push back to Draft and create redirect to List of secondary schools in the Western Cape this article. As a high school it has some notability, so WP:NSCHOOL may apply ahead of WP:ORGCRIT. However, the school article needs better sectioning as it reads like someone's website and contains trivial instances of like how many rugby players they have or the school's motto. Better sources can be found. AngusWOOF ( barksniff) 16:44, 1 June 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Keep - this is a high school and high schools are notable - I previously AfD'd a high school which had only one reference and almost no ghits but it was kept Gbawden ( talk) 14:33, 3 June 2018 (UTC) reply
@ Gbawden: Primefac, as closer of WP:SCHOOLRFC, recently reminded us that "schools have to follow the same WP:CORP guidelines as every other organization." Curb Safe Charmer ( talk) 20:19, 3 June 2018 (UTC) reply

  • Delete, I agree that Curb Safe Charmer has shown that the subject fails our notability criteria. ♠ PMC(talk) 06:07, 16 June 2018 (UTC) reply
