  • Unelected candidates for office, as always, are not entitled to Wikipedia articles on that basis if their candidacy is itself the only substantive claim of notability that can be made — WP:NPOL grants notability to officeholders, while a candidate gets an article only if you can properly demonstrate that they were already notable enough for a Wikipedia article for some other reason before running as a candidate.
