The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a
deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.
The reason this page is still necessary is because of our copyright licencing rules. We need to retain the history for attribution purposes. Redirect and keep the history under the redirect. Deleting the page would require a history merge, a somewhat complex task that only an administrator can perform, and runs counter to policy in any case (see
WP:ATD: there is a reasonable alternative to deletion, which is to redirect, so we prefer the alternative to the deletion).—

That's not the point, I'm afraid. (Other "delete" arguments below also fail to grok it.) The merge has already happened, and an improved version of the content with references is now available in the main article, but,
User:Stephenjamesx who wrote this bit still deserves credit. See the
Terms of use. If there's a compelling reason for deletion then a history merge must be performed, but nobody's mentioned one yet. All the grounds for deletion cited, above and below, revolve around the idea that it's not necessary to keep the page. It's a wholly mistaken idea, but even if it was true, "not necessary to keep" does not mean the same thing as "necessary to delete".—

Delete As it stands, the article is wholly unsourced, and I don't see anything requiring preservation of article history. It can be deleted without much ado.
