Do NOT Delete. Lisa Raitt meets general
Wikipedia:Notability (people) guidelines of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." (Newly added references fit
reliable source guidelines.) I have edited the article to address concerns below about copyright violation, and added appropriate references for its encyclopedic content. These references are typical of media coverage about Ms. Raitt, supporting our argument of Notability. --

:::Sources have been added.
You might want to read up on what's considered a
reliable source on Wikipedia if you think you've actually added any real sources.

Do NOT Delete. Lisa is very notable. As CEO of the Toronto Port Authority she led the battle over the bridge to the Toronto Island Airport and has been regularly featured in the media.
If she's been featured in the media, then surely you can show some sources. According to Google News she gets quoted a fair bit in the media (but mostly local media in Halton), but that's not the same thing as
verifiable,
reliable sourcesabout her. And besides, the article as written is cut and pasted directly from her campaign website, which isn't an allowable practice on here under our
copyright policy.

Keep. It should not be deleted. If the vote is to delete, then Merge and Redirect to
Conservative Party candidates, 2008 Canadian federal election. The article is now in a neutral form mentioning controversies already mentioned in Wikipedia in which she has been involved and the context of her campaign as reported in the press, esp. the motives for her appointment as a candidate. WARNING: It was once reverted to the original, totally uncritical NPOV version lifted verbatim from Raitt's campaign website. Probably being reverted to this version by her campaign, a conflict of interest. Watch edits by KnightRDR and Srgolfing carefully. Copyvio is not much of an issue with political bios, it's more of a concern that the version that appears on their own websites is written by a spin doctor. —Preceding
