- Delete. Election candidates do not get Wikipedia articles just for being candidates — if they weren't already notable enough for a Wikipedia article for some other reason before becoming a candidate, then they have to win the election, not just run in it, to become notable enough for a Wikipedia article — and dying on the campaign trail does not boost his notability over and above any other candidate. Any candidate could always show as many sources as are shown here, so the amount of coverage his death got is not evidence that he's a special case. Bearcat ( talk) 01:12, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
