Delete - BLP1E is usually applied to cases where the person is well-known for a single event and in this case we're talking more about a series of events. That said, the series of events is really all about the same thing. These sorts of stories are often followed up by local news outlets as a "where are they now" or "remember this guy we told you about last year". But that isn't really the same as being notable for something else - it's still the same event. I don't think there's any enduring notability here.
