Subject's sole claim to fame is that they served in the military for one day, because the war ended right afterwards. Trivial press coverage on this basis. Otherwise utterly mundane life. • Delete: The "Doughboy for a Day" article is fine, but I don't find other sources in books or news about this person. Hasn't really done anything else other than being in the army for a day. Likely not enough to build an article with. Oaktree b ( talk) 01:06, 12 June 2024 (UTC) reply

• Delete it sounds like Gardner may not have even been formally inducted into the Army, and possibly if he was it was after the armistice was signed (aka the war had ended), so even the “last veteran claim is dubious. Best, GPL93 ( talk) 03:00, 18 June 2024 (UTC) reply
