While this page attempts to solve that problem, it does so by creating a disambiguation page completely against the relevant guideline,
MOS:DAB.
Dowsing is the only topic linked there that could be referred to as "Finding water", and none of the others meet the
MOS:DABMENTION standard. A
water detector may be a device for finding water, but that phrase isn't a likely search term for that topic. We wouldn't redirect
Heating food to
Microwave oven, or
Digging holes to
Shovel. This page should revert to a redirect and follow the outcome of the aforementioned RfD.

Keep There's actually a lot more to finding water than the start entries I put in the dab page. For example it is a crucial survival skill. It is an important scientific technique in biology. It is tropism. It is important for extra-terrestrial colonies. It is a technique in industry. All the best: RichFarmbrough, 21:06, 19 November 2015 (UTC).reply
True, but not especially relevant to the validity of this as a disambiguation page. That's more an argument for an article, or information to be incorporated into
Water. --

Keep and wikify it. Not sure how, though.

Keep There are obviously reasonable
alternatives to deletion such as the original redirect. Also
MOS:DAB states "ignore these guidelines if doing so will be more helpful to readers than following them and this seems sensible advice in this case.

Precisely. The RfD should have been allowed to resolve first. --
