I am a bit on the fence about this person's notability as it pertains to Wikipedia's guidelines. It seems he is best notable for his controversial firing but even then, I am not seeing in-depth sources on him. His Google Scholar score is very low and I don't think he passes
WP:NPROF or
WP:GNG. I am absolutely willing to pull this AfD if sources do show up and it is clear the article can be improved, but I am currently not seeing anything that would indicate this is possible.

Delete: The firing does seem to be the only thing for which he has received independent coverage, and even then (according to my searching) it appears to have been quite little. --

Delete: he was a tenured professor, but doesn't seem to pass ACADEMIC
[1] , that called out the University and was dismissed. Even that didn't get much national attention, I could only find a few French articles in the local paper and one in La Presse about it... I don't think getting fired is notable.
