Welcome

Information icon Hello, Zig6422. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{ request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.-- VViking Talk Edits 14:00, 19 June 2020 (UTC) reply

Thank you. I am happy to proceed using the formal disclosure requirements, of which I was previously misinformed. Zig6422 ( talk) 14:54, 19 June 2020 (UTC) reply

Your edits at Marla Romash

With [ this edit] to Marla Romash, you provided the edit summary:

I have submitted a thorough update to Marla Romash's official Wikipedia page. This was completed at the instruction of Marla Romash, using official personal statements, resumes, and citations from her personal files. All citations which are available have been included. If necessary, copies of her resume and personal statement can be provided to Wikipedia to reinforce statements made on this page.

That's not how things work here. People do not get to dictate the contents of their Wikipedia biographies. Instead, we rely on what reliable sources have said about the subjects. Personal statements, resumes and personal files are not valid sources for this purpose, because people tend not to be neutral about themselves, and personal files are not fact-checked or peer-reviewed artifacts. If there are factual errors on Ms Romash's biography, please address your concerns at Talk:Marla Romash, where you can request that any factual errors be corrected (providing links to reliable sources to verify the changes you'd like to see made). Of course. Factual information and neutrality are of the utmost importance. Thank you for introducing me to the proper avenues to achieve our mutual goals. Zig6422 ( talk) 14:59, 19 June 2020 (UTC) reply

Your signature

I note that your signature identifies you as "Zig6422" even though that is not your username. You're signature should make it easy to identify your username. Using a signature that intentionally misidentifies you is likely to cause problems. WikiDan61 ChatMe! ReadMe!! 20:56, 19 June 2020 (UTC) reply
