I am the historian for SC Johnson, a company mentioned in the article "Johnson Family Enterprises". The article is completely false, in terms of subject and information presented (SC Johnson has never had a parent company, etc.) Being new to the Wikipedia process, I am trying to figure out the best way to request for deletion. In my mind, it falls under speedy deletion criteria G1 (patent nonsense) & G3 (blatant and obvious misinformation). In this case, would an article in which the subject itself doesn't exist be grounds for speedy deletion? What is my best course of action? Wax86 ( talk) 16:05, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Article has now been listed at
articles for deletion; you are welcome to comment there (instructions on how to contribute to these discussions are available
here). If you want to prove your identity to Wikipedia, as requested by
User:7&6=thirteen, and you have a company email registered to the scjohnson.com domain or another Johnson company, you can send a message from that address to info-en-qwikimedia.org referencing this page and the Articles for Deletion discussion linked above (
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Johnson Family Enterprises). This is the easiest way to confirm your identity without revealing any details publicly on Wikipedia.

I have replied there to your actual question, but thought I would also mention twinkle. Twinkle is a semi-automated editing tool that makes numerous operations, including deletion nominations, very simple, requiring no specialized knowledge of the technical aspects of the process as it does all that for you. You can activate it from the “gadgets” tab in your preferences. Beeblebrox ( talk) 21:54, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
