Hi - please note that it is not helpful to mark articles such as Danny O'Connor (politician) or Gunnar Ekstrand as requiring Wikification, when they are already Wikified. While they would benefit from expansion, or perhaps from the addition of sections, infoboxes, etc, should you feel these issues need addressing, they have their own tags. Hello, Warofdreams. I'm in the middle of some over-blown problem with the HP (disambiguation) page. Would you mind taking a look at Talk:HP (disambiguation) and Talk:Harry Potter and tell me what my options are? It looks like temporary protection (of any version) may be needed in the short term, but I'm assuming I shouldn't do it since I've been one of the recent editors. Thanks! -- JHunterJ 11:22, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Tafea.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:05, 13 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Siebrand 21:05, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

A page you created a while back now has a NPOV dispute. I think the National Labor Federation article (and other, related articles) could use an outside opinion on what the article needs fixed to merit removing the NPOV tag. Whosasking 19:21, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello Warofdreams! Hope all is well!
Sadly I haven't completed a new map, but instead, a user has raised a query on this template's talk page about the mapping system. As you've been closely involved I thought it most appropriate to invite you to comment. -- Jza84 · ( talk) 20:07, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
You are a good editor and a fine fellow, so I will simply say that I feared the discussion I attempted to start recently would go nowhere, but I felt a need to try. Probably a mistake - not for the first time I regret getting involved in affairs south of the Highland Line. I wish the purveyors of UK infobox place well. Hi Warofdreams. Can I ask why you keep moving Hillsborough, Sheffield to Hillsborough, South Yorkshire. You said in the summary that it was a "standard dab", could you point me to where this convention is laid out? I was hoping to have a look and see if there is any room to disobey the convention, which would seem to work fine for Stocksbridge or Chapeltown which are separate towns which happen to be in the Sheffield LA, but it seems daft to suggest that Hillsborough is a separate settlement within SY! Hello again Warofdreams,
Once again, it's been raised that we need standardised
Template:Infobox England district for the shire and metropolitan districts, boroughs, and cities across England (England having a seperate system of
Local government in the United Kingdom). Many local government districts are using highly localised pink faux-infobox tables (
Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale for example).
I wondered if you had any technical know-how which could put something together?? We have
Template:Infobox UK place,
Template:Infobox settlement and
Template:Infobox London Borough as workable formats. Hope you can help, --

Hi there. I adjusted Template:Infobox England district so that it no longer shows your Sandbox as a candidate for speedy deletion - the template itself was nominated for speedy-deletion, but the template's author was likely not aware that he needed to add <noinclude> to the template to prevent pages that were using that template from also showing up as deletion candidates.
In other words, your sandbox is safe. :) Just wanted to let you know in case there was any confusion. — KieferSkunk ( talk) — 20:59, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi - I'm running a bot every day that updates WP:LA according to special:listusers/sysop, so edits like this really aren't necessary. You're welcome to continue adding newly promoted admins, but the bot will do it the next time I run it (and, if you mess up the alphabetization, or forget, or anything else, the bot will "fix" it). -- Rick Block ( talk) 04:11, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
I just have some general questions. I don't want you to think I am trying to impose, so feel free not to answer should you choose. I am asking you because you are admin and buerocrat, and have been here almost since wikipedia was originally created. I have done quite a bit on here as far as learning. However there are a few things I am confused with. So I wanted to ask someone some questions to see if I can learn even more. You made admin, then a year later buerocrat. I was wondering when you will make it to steward, or whatever else is available, here are the questions I have. You don't have to answer, I am just wondering about some of these.
I had a few more questions but I don't want to flood them, I need to learn a little at a time. If you choose not to, do not want to answer these questions I will understand. I am making a sandbox under my user namespace so I have an archive of these questions in case I need to replicate them somewhere else. If there is a good place for me to list these, please tell me where the best place would be. Thanks. businessman332211 16:30, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

NI doesn't use 'wards' for electoral purposes - it uses what are called 'District Electoral Areas' (DEAs) which are multi-member groupings of wards. So Belfast for example has 9 DEAs or 51 wards. Unfortunately the press have a habit of incorrectly referring to wards when speaking of NI elections. Other than that, just want to say: good work on NI elections related articles! Valenciano 10:16, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I wonder if you can assist with above. Recently I created the article translating it directly from the Catalan and Spanish articles to start with. Unfortunately another editor took offense and despite my requests to discuss it, continued removing sourced material and the result was an edit war and the freezing of the article for a fortnight. As it happens I tend to agree that the article as currently frozen is biased against the subject and in order to rectify that, I have proposed additions on the articles talk page which will balance out the current content. I believe that those changes would make the article a little more balanced and this is important with the Valencia United Left selection coming up. Valenciano 21:05, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello again! Just a note that I've uploaded new version of Image:Edinburgh_outline_map.png, not just to standardised the pantones, but also because the previous version missed the southwest of the Edinburgh city limits.
However (!)...... it's going to need a recalibration sorry. I'd help, but as a designer, that kind of thing is really beyond my mortal capability. Hope you can help, -- Jza84 · ( talk) 13:29, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello again! I hope you had a great break from Wikipedia. I've been struggling getting hold of, and then working out how to use Creative Suite 3 - but I think I've finally cracked it, so to speak.
Anyway, I've put together a new Image:East Sussex outline map with UK.png. It may not be as accurate as previous maps (though it seems to be from a cursory check) as I've lost alot of my source material I had on hard-disk, but I think it'll be OK.
Would you be interested in taking a look at the calibration for this? I hope so! -- Jza84 · ( talk) 17:19, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Also, there's been a call [1] for Durham/N. Yorks to be looked into - any plans to tackle this? I'd be more than willing to help if it's a vast task you had in mind. I heop all is well, -- Jza84 · ( talk) 02:21, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Firstly thanks for the third opinion on the Navarro article. Secondly I wonder if you can help with setting up a template/infobox? I've already had a look on wp:template but can't work out what I'd need to do. Recently I've started creating articles on Spanish Parliamentary constituencies cf [2] and feel that the articles would be improved by a box at the bottom listing all of them, similar to what we have at the bottom of Belfast Central (Northern Ireland Parliament constituency). Is it possible that you could create that or at least point me to someone who could? The list of provinces which the constituencies are based on is here [3] Thanks, Valenciano ( talk) 20:38, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Hey WarofDreams,
I don't know what the proper procedure is for RfA's, but CastAStone was lured into a bad faith nomination. He accepted a nomination from somebody who appears to wanted to embarrass him. I have removed his nomination page from the RfA page (at his request) but wanted to let a beauacrat know in case something needs to be done with the page. Hi! WoD!, I've just been correcting a couple of wikilinks that seem to have changed, that are on my watchpages. Taking a deeper look I note that User:MRSC:MRSC has used Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser to change all references of Historic County to Counties of the United Kingdom. Many of these are in infoboxes so will redirect people selecting 'Historic County' for info to the wrong article - when they really require Historic counties of England. Additionally Category entries have been changed, which now mess up the sorting information such as Category:People from Yorkshire, Category:Hill forts in England which are advised as 'Sorted by Historic County'. Also templates such as Template:User British Counties Aka: (This user is an advocate of traditional counties). I am concerned that there may be another 2006 style Traditional Counties war about to kick off, which is preferably well avoided! Richard Harvey Richard Harvey ( talk) 18:56, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey Warofdreams, I've been directed here by another user ( Jza84) at the Greater Manchester WikiProject, who says you are particularly skilled at producing maps for regions in the northern part of England, or anywhere else for that matter. An article I've been substantially editing, Grade I listed buildings in Manchester, which has received a sort of peer review on the project talk page and a proper one at peer review, both of which have suggested using a map for the locations of listed buildings in questions. I would be very grateful, as would others in the project, if you would be able to create these locations on map. But if not, then no worries. Thank you for your time. Ref this, I've made a request to one Council a min ago. When I get the info, I intend to reference it as Freedom of Information disclosure, available on request from the Council. If people think this is OR, which I don't think it is, I'll ask if they can publish this on their website, which I don't expect to be received well in honesty! If this proves a success, I'll work my way through the councils. Traditional unionist ( talk) 21:22, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Having done some quick Googling into how 'gay' Attercliffe is I agree that the comment you reverted to is probably right. However I would say that is probably the case that it is less 'gay' now than it was in the 80s and 90s due to the fact that there is more acceptance of 'gayness' in the mainstream venues in the centre, thus less need to ghetto-ise. This is based on my reading of various forum posts, I've not found any other sources that would be more wiki-palatable. There currently only appears to be one venue that actively advertises itself as 'gay', Club Xes.
(I've used 'gay' rather than LGBT as I hate the phrase, and I'm not convinced that the component parts are any closer to one another than to heterosexuality or any one of many other sexualities)
I'm also not convinced about the Soho comment, so far I've only found to references to it (apart from wiki and wiki-scrapers, one says it is and one says its not! Talltim ( talk) 16:43, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
