Hi Therapyisgood - I would agree about "a Major League Baseball" but when you reduce it to MBA the first sound is an "em" which takes "an".
A search of Wikipedia articles for
"an MLB" gives 649 matches - whereas a search for
"a MLB" gives 5 matches - including
Lewis (baseball) and four quotations, which we don't change, even though they are wrong. I'll leave you to revert yourself - Best wishes -

I have summarily closed the discussion you recently opened at WP:ANI as I believe your complaint to be without merit. Where possible please pursue other forms of dispute resolution before coming to ANI, which should generally be a last resort. On 26 June 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lewis (baseball), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Lewis (first name unknown) pitched in his only Players' League game in 1890 and gave up 20 runs? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lewis (baseball). Hi! I just nominated Willie Mays for a peer review. During its recent featured article nomination, User:SandyGeorgia suggested it needed more work on the prose and mentioned that such a review could use the help of an experienced baseball editor like yourself. If you have time to take a look at it, your input would be greatly appreciated! Sanfranciscogiants17 ( talk) 13:32, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
Sometime in the coming months when you have enough time, could you go through the Mays article and let me know what would need to be fixed for you to support its promotion to FA? The most recent review closed because no one had given any supports; I am thinking that a lot of people just didn't have time to look through such a long article. This way, you can look at it whenever you get a chance, instead of having to do so within a certain amount of time. Let me know! Sanfranciscogiants17 ( talk) 23:01, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Thank you today for Lewis (baseball), who "played in one professional baseball game in 1890, and his first name is completely unknown. He's interesting for sure, and showed how the 1890 Buffalo Bisons were doing at the time. Set several records of futility, and was described as a "failure" and "unfortunate" in press at the time. I think it's the standard at enWP that a collection of excerpts of reviews from other places is not a suitable source . You have no way of knowing whether the excerpt from the view is representative., and the reader needs to see from the articles itself where the reviews are coming from. You need to cite the actual published reviews, . I' and others have commented on it before with respect to a number of your articles, and I see the situation has not yet been dealt with, so perhaps it needs further discussion. . This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

An article you recently created,
Coffeezilla, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from
reliable,
independent sources. (
?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (
verifiability is of
central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to
draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's
general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. –

@ Schwede66: Look at POTD. There's a "see also" header underneath the POTD which states "See also Template:POTD protected/<(/)noinclude>". That was the error. I apologize, I thought that would be clear to anyone looking at it. Therapyisgood ( talk) 01:28, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
