I'm trying to delete the page you have sent me a warning about, as I am "brand new" to using the Wikipedia and am only trying to help a Musician create a Wikipedia reference and as you can tell stumbling through. So please, if you would delete what I've done I'd greatly appreciate it. I've printed out information on creating on the site but if you can give me any more directive's I'd appreciate it. Sam1957
I've removed it from the RfA page; the code is all messed up, you haven't finished the questions and it hasn't been properly transcluded. I'd advise not moving it to the RfA page until you answer Q3. Ironho lds 10:28, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Vandal Destroyer,
First, thanks for your efforts. I contribute randomly and anonymously (not yet set up an account), so I respect anyone who does the down and dirty work of keeping wikipedia running.
You caught my attention because you reverted an edit I made which was just -- not vandalism -- on the page 'Bottom Girl.' I tried to annotate my changes, but it could easily have looked like vandalism. So, since you reverted me (I reverted you too, but you get seniority: so...), I'm gonna try to drop this project in your lap. Here's the problem with the article, hopefully you can handle it more elegantly than I was trying to (I'm not super-familiar with Wikipedia best-practices): a link in the article, in fact the only live weblink, was to a site that my browser warned me has been distributing malware. I have no idea if the link is valid -- I suspect the citation is valid, but not properly linked (that is, the document it sites may be correct, but the link may or may not be the actual file -- the link is broken, regardless.
I'd invite you to see the changes I made -- documented in an untutored and probably non-standard fashion -- but it's all there. For what it's worth, the link itself is, at the very least, dead. The domain is probably created for the sake of hosting malware -- the domain name seems to have little to do with the content of the citation, and the 'whois' turns up something in Thailand (the link cites a NGO in Hawaii, for what it's worth).
Sorry for the long-winded follow-up, but I wanted to give you as much information as I had.
Cheers,
Ryan.

Why have you marked my changes as vandalism? I have cited sources such as http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ror/assembly_09_03_04.pdf . Also, any search on the internet shows that Piedmont is registered republican under 11%. Maybe I should write "In contrast with the rest of the United States, ..." Other neighboring areas such as Pleasanton, Fremont, and the Stockton metro area are much more conservative. Please take my argument seriously, as I can provide other sources also, but I consider this one reputable enough. 76.102.193.102 ( talk) 05:40, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

"Piedmont is a small, extremely affluent city in Alameda County, California, United States, which has been described as mostly liberal."

If the vandalism gets really bad, you can usually get it semi-protected for a few hours. Admins really don't like protecting user talk pages for long periods of time, because it removes the only way of contacting a user in a timely manner. So the most you can do usually is revert/warn/report and put up with it. If it gets out of hand, file a report on WP:RFPP. Cheers! J.delanoy gabs adds 04:50, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Radin's work has been rebutted by the scientific community. This is established fact. The fact that he still believes in paranormal phenomena thus makes him a nutjob. Not opinion, established fact.
As for Randi, he has led us into a new era of reason. Perhaps it was inappropriate of me to label him the new messiah, but the rest of my edits should have stood.

The following edits to Wendy Northcutt are not vandalism. Several years ago a Wiki-nazi was trying to prove a negative point about the Darwin Awards and slanted the Interview section accordingly. The following edit, which is a rearrangement and minor rewording, is a more accurate reflection of the interviews cited. Also the birth date is completely unsourced, and the word "November" should be removed from the book ISBN section, to standardize the presentation.
"Interviews" section: My proposed edit (which has been twice reverted by, seemingly, a computer.)
Northcutt was interviewed by Mark Emmons of the San Jose Mercury News. Emmons states that "Northcutt considers herself a potential Darwin Award candidate. She describes herself as a klutz."
When interviewed by Salon she said "If there are multiple stupidity genes, then having one or two might make someone creative, while having a dozen would make her a dangerous idiot."
In an interview with a blogger at UK hosting company 123-reg[7], Wendy confirmed that running the Darwin Awards website now takes up all of her time. She said, “I always feel like I’m neglecting my audience, even though I work more than full time.” She also talked about how the Darwin Awards successfully made the transition from being an online publication to being an offline one. The interview mentions that publishers asked her to "remove the stories from the internet. But Wendy was adamant: 'It was a community! I could not do that. Even though it might have cost me a lot of money, I kept saying no.'”
In 2001, Northcutt was interviewed by Jamie Allen of CNN[1]. Northcutt stated, "Before (the awards became popular), we were an insular community and we could make fun of people and those people (or their families) would never find out. Hello there. I have since reverted my latest reversion, and removed the warnings from your talk page. It just seemed like vandalism because of the quote "She describes herself as a klutz." Wikipedia has a policy against inserting dubious or harmful materials in biographies, but I have reviewed your sources and have now deemed the edits to be correct. Thank you for contacting me on this matter. Until It Sleeps 21:46, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Why did you revert? 78.147.42.94 ( talk) 22:47, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Hello. I noticed you recently added yourself to the list of users interested in a Utah Meetup. We're currently discussing a location to meet, so any input would be great. Useight ( talk) 05:22, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
My post is not vandalism. I am putting together an entry about John Angelos, the executive VP of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. I tried to report a false positive to cluebot, but the wiki server kept timing out. Cimat1984 ( talk) 16:33, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Daryl N/Cimat1984
Hi. Please can you retract your warning here, User talk:72.40.13.101. The edit in question, this one, was actually a partial fix of the vandalism done in the previous edit by a different IP. Cheers-- Jac16888 ( talk) 01:18, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
I've added the citations. Please let me know if this is what is expected on wikipedia. Thanks Smallman12q ( talk) 02:47, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
all i did was remove some apostrophes that shouldn't have been there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.69.206.231 ( talk) 15:58, 13 January 2009 (UTC) thanks
hello, I think you may be just a little bit over zealous don't you, so I pushed the publish button instead of the preview button.. get a grip boy.
Hiya, I notice you do quite a bit of RC patrole, and though I don't do that myself, I realise it's a lot like drinking from the firehose. I would like to ask you to try to see the best of faith in new editors. As an example I'd like to point you to Special:Contributions/90.219.200.237 who you reverted several times, and give vandalism warnings with every edit. The edits were not in bad faith, and therefor not vandalism. If you would have templated him/her with a welcome template, and a suggestion to take it to talk, or take the time (and I know RC patrole is fast and furious) to explain to the user what exactly is wrong with the specific edit, you could well get a better response from the user in question.
Hope this is something you can do something with. Martijn Hoekstra ( talk) 21:31, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. Just wondering as you have the account creator flag would you like to help out on the Account Creating Tool? If you already have an account then please tell me as your on wiki user name may be set incorrectly. The reason you received this message is because your name is listed here. Please get back to me on my talk page. - ·Add§hore· Talk/ Cont 17:28, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Maybe I was a bit heavy handed, however the page is like a big fat advert for himself, and his following of awe-filled sexually confused teenagers isn't as big as he says. It's a known fact that he's gay, and I doubt Wikipedia users need a link to his agency. There are no sources for anything in the page!

Hello, Until It Sleeps. I have withdrawn your RFA, as it has become apparent that it will not succeed and there is little more productive value in keeping it open. Please address the concerns that were raised and feel free to reapply in the future. Good luck. -- Deskana (talk) 13:53, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Hello, this is a message from
an automated bot. A tag has been placed on
User talk:MomJeans, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be

User talk:MomJeans is pure
vandalism; this includes redirects created during cleanup of page move vandalism.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting
User talk:MomJeans, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at
WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the

I know my edit was not done correctly, as I don't know how to add the box to the top to state no references are cited. If you are going to correct what I have done wrong, could you please add the box stating that there are actually no citations rather than just leaving it in the state it was before. It still needs citations! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.206.37.99 ( talk) 13:05, 18 March 2009 (UTC) who are you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.78.179.30 ( talk) 22:01, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi
How come you leave editors both a level 1 and a level 2 warning for the same edit? See e.g.
User talk:201.150.75.243,
User talk:24.206.231.192,
User talk:68.174.25.247,
User talk:68.22.199.125,
User talk:96.237.237.139. With
User talk:24.206.231.192 there were 54 seconds between the two warnings, so it looks like a manual thing and no Huggle trouble.
Cheers,
Amalthea

Hey, in case you were wondering why I've been making a whole bunch of edits to stuff that may be on your watchlist, I started experimenting with the features of AWB, one of them being "User contribs (user defined number)" which I just typed your username and typed 5000. So yeah, don't get creeped out. By the way, hi! :) - Jameson L. Tai talk ♦ guestbook ♦ contribs 07:19, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
My edit to the Adrian Peterson article is correct. If you click the source you will see this. It is not vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.241.151.245 ( talk) 22:39, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
