My interests include aviation, spaceflight, astronomy, technical writing, military history, American history, and science fiction. I work at the Military Aviation Preservation Society (MAPS) located at the Akron-Canton Regional Airport. I am the Museum Safety Office and the Crew Chief of the museum's Convair F-102 Delta Dagger.
I served in the U. S. Air Force from 1979 to 1987 as a Fire Protection Specialist. While in the Air Force, I was assigned to the 56th Civil Engineering Squadron at MacDill AFB, Florida; the 5702nd Air Base Group at Galena Airport, Alaska; and the 4392 Civil Engineering Squadron at Vandenberg AFB, California. I worked around the following aircraft: UH-1H/P Iroquois, F-4D Phantom II, F-16A/B Fighting Falcon, and F-15A Eagle. Additionally, I worked with the expendable launch vehicles: Atlas E/H, Titan 34 B/D, and Scout. I was also at Vandenberg AFB during the final three years of the Air Force's Space Shuttle Program at the base.
