Your edits on Croats, Croatian Peruvians and other articles

Hello. Your edits seem to be base only on the website of "Peru-Spiegel/Espejo del Perú", which isn't a reliable source for that kind of information since it apparently is based only on a book with very rough estimates of ethnicity based on surnames/family names used in Peru. We need data from official sources based on real counts of people, such as from censuses, not rough guesstimates like the ones on the website you used. So please stop. Thank you. - Tom |  Thomas.W talk 22:11, 11 July 2018 (UTC) reply

Just as another heads up, I've reverted you change to the numbers of Chinese Peruvians here. Your source, "The Statistics Portal", is a commercial venture, and I have doubts as to its being a reliable source. Their About us page suggests that their methodology for gleaning the 'teaser' figures is not transparent, but focusses on pulling hard core commercial companies. Academic research is preferred over other 'guesstimates' where the country's census does provide a breakdown of ethnic groups. -- Iryna Harpy ( talk) 06:38, 13 July 2018 (UTC) reply

Problematic editing

Hello, Ss995. I understand that you are trying to improve articles in good faith, but you are now adding lists of 'notable people' to already badly sourced and unsourced articles surrounding diasporic populations in other countries (i.e., articles on the subject of ethnicity). I have reverted your addition of such a list to the Italian Peruvians article, and have tagged the section you added to British Peruvians for references, as well as the section on French Peruvians which you have elaborated on. The calibre of the articles on the 'notables' you are adding are extremely impoverished with the majority being reliant on a single source, but with no citations in the articles.

I suspect that you are just going to categories for 'X ethnicity of Y descent', collating them, then alphabetising the names. Please check the biographies and be certain that the person is properly sourced as being of that descent, and that the articles clearly demonstrate that they truly meet with WP:N, and remember that Wikipedia is WP:NOTEVERYTHING (please read WP:OSE). Thank you for your understanding. -- Iryna Harpy ( talk) 01:48, 8 August 2018 (UTC) reply
