Hi Sonia. You said yourself that you would probably regret this. I though we had buried the hatchet, but unfortunately, at least in my opinion, I believe you might again have demonstrated that you may still possibly have a penchant for taking things out of context and/or putting an unintended spin on other editors' syntax. I value you work here highly, but I do feel I must defend my comments once again. Happy new year to you. -- Kudpung กุดผึ้ง ( talk) 02:36, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
Hey guys! Another month, another newsletter.
First off - the first bits of AFT5 are now deployed. As of early last week, the various different designs are deployed on 0.1 percent of articles, for a certain "bucket" of randomly-assigned readers. With the data flooding in from these, we were able to generate a big pool of comments for editors to categorise as "useful" or "not useful". This information will be used to work out which form is the "best" form, producing the most useful feedback and the least junk. Hopefully we'll have the data for you by the end of the week; I can't thank the editors who volunteered to hand-code enough; we wouldn't be where we are now without you.
All this useful information means we can move on to finalising the tool, and so we're holding an extra-important office hours session on Friday, 6th January at 19:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office. If you can't make it, drop me a note and I'll be happy to provide logs so you can see what went on - if you can make it, but will turn up late, bear in mind that I'll be hanging around until 23:00 UTC to deal with latecomers :).
Things we'll be discussing include:
If you can't make it to the session, all this stuff will be displayed on the talkpage soon after, so no worries ;). Hope to see you all there! Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 04:49, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi Sonia, Brian McNicholl was a New Zealand-born Australian Paralympian, primarily a weightlifter. Laura, John and I are having a bit of trouble finding information about him, especially related to his early career in New Zealand (see his talk page). When you get a chance, could you search through the resources you have in NZ and let me know if you find anything of interest? Thanks! Graham 87 03:29, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi Sonia, we've had to push back the proposal assignment for my class. I'm now asking students to post article drafts to your talk page on the 23rd. Still game? By the way, Buggie111, the other online ambassador created a section on his talk page for students to post to. Could you do the same? Or would you prefer students to e-mail you? Thanks Matthewvetter ( talk) 04:18, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi Sonia,
You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.
Thank you.

Hey guys; apologies for the belated nature of this notification; as you can probably imagine, the whole blackout thing kinda messed with our timetables :P. Just a quick reminder that we've got an office hours session tomorrow at 19:00 in #wikimedia-office, where we'll be discussing the results of the hand-coding and previewing some new changes. Hope to see you there :). Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 21:43, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Rather disillusioned with the way things have been going at Wikipedia lately, I'm basically signing off from it for a while. I regret any tone I may have used to characterise your work and I hope this won't affect a future constructive editing collaboration when I return.

Hi Sonia,
Thanks for the tips on Creative Commons licensing for the Wikipedia song. I took your advice and gave it the CC Share Alike licensing. I uploaded the file to Wikimedia Commons at: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikipedia_Pop_Anthem.ogg . You are most welcome to host/link to the song! Perhaps others will add to the new Wikipedia music category there.

You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using ( This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! – pjoef ( talk • contribs) 13:28, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Hey guys!
Thanks to all of you who have commented on the New Page Triage talkpage. If you haven't had a chance yet, check it out; we're discussing some pretty interesting ideas, both from the Foundation and the community, and moving towards implementing quite a few of them :).
In addition, on Tuesday 13th March, we're holding an office hours session in #wikimedia-office on IRC at 19:00 UTC (11am Pacific time). If you can make it, please do; we'll have a lot of stuff to show you and talk about, including (hopefully) a timetable of when we're planning to do what. If you can't come, for whatever reason, let me know on my talkpage and I'm happy to send you the logs so you can get an idea of what happened :). Hi Sonia, I wanted to leave you a note to say thank you for your help with my class. The students really valued your input and I think the project went really well. I also want to ask you if you'd be willing to serve as online ambassador for a course I'm teaching beginning March 26. This would not involve commenting on drafts as in the last class as I want to try having online ambassadors only available for student questions/emails, rather than require students to submit a draft. In other words, it wouldn't be nearly as involved, but you would be available just in case students needed help. What do you think?
Matthewvetter ( talk) 15:03, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Sorry I'm so late in getting back to you. Thanks Sonia. You're on record as Online Ambassador, though this shouldn't be nearly as intensive as I won't be having them submit drafts to you. Thanks again.

Hey all!
Thanks to everyone who attended our first office hours session; the logs can be found here, if you missed it, and we should be holding a second one on Thursday, 22 March 2012 at 18:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office. I hope to see you all there :).
In the meantime, I have greatly expanded the details available at Wikipedia:New Page Triage: there's a lot more info about precisely what we're planning. If you have ideas, and they aren't listed there, bring them up and I'll pass them on to the developers for consideration in the second sprint. And if you know anyone who might be interested in contributing, send them there too!
Regards, Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 00:18, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for the radio silence, guys :). I just wanted to let you know that we're planning on starting a new round of hand coding, which you can sign up for here. This will be the final round (honest!), and is basically because we found some really interesting results from the last round that blew our collective mind. It's important to check that they weren't a fluke, though, and so a bit more work is needed.
If you have any questions, drop a note on my talkpage - and if you know anyone who would be interested in participating, please tell them about it! We'll be holding an IRC training session in #wikimedia-office at 18:00 UTC on the 21st of March to run through the tool and answer any questions you may have. Thanks! :) Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 00:39, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Please drop by IRC when you can. Thanks. Pine (talk) 06:17, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi Sonia, hope school is going well :)
I just finished a massive draft on our own very topical subject of paid editing on Wikipedia. I would love your thoughtful brain to check it for neutrality, formatting, organization, reference detail, etc. I hope you can take a quick look. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 12:24, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
Hey guys.
I appreciate this isn't quite what you signed up for, but I figured as people who are already pretty good at evaluating whether material is useful or not useful through Special:NewPages, you might be interested :). Over the last few months we've been developing the new Article Feedback Tool, which features a free text box. it is imperative that we work out in advance what proportion of feedback is useful or not so we can adjust the design accordingly and not overwhelm you with nonsense.
This is being done through the
Feedback Evaluation System (FES), a tool that lets editors run through a stream of comments, selecting their value and viability, so we know what type of design should be promoted or avoided. We're about to start a new round of evaluations, beginning with an
office hours session tomorrow at 18:00 UTC. If you'd like to help preemptively kill poor feedback, come along to #wikimedia-office and we'll show you how to use the tool. If you can't make it, send me an email at okeyeswikimedia.org or drop a note on my talkpage, and I'm happy to give you a quick walkthrough in a one-on-one session :).
All the best, Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 21:31, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

I'm leaving this message for known script authors, recent contributors to Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts/Scripts, and those who've shown interest in user scripts.
This scripts listing page is in dire need of cleanup. To facilitate this, I've created a new draft listing at Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts/Scripts cleanup. You're invited to list scripts you know to be currently working and relevant. Eventually this draft page can replace the current scripts listing.
If you'd like to comment or collaborate on this proposal, see the discussion I started here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject User scripts#Scripts listing cleanup project. Thanks! Equazcion (talk) 04:54, 25 Mar 2012 (UTC)

And also this game is only being made by me and it is going to take 17 months to complete, but all the links are good, and not bad. So how do you make your own wiki? Like Skyrim wiki or Minecraft wiki or something like that? Seeing as its a game i would like one. Also, ive heard of a server thing known as Bukkit and they havent been around for to long, and they have already got a Wiki. But anyway, i was just hoping i could have some help, and how could i improve my post?
