Hi Jack345110 . Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are
resolved quickly and easily in
collaboration.
Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's
Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.
If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's
Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the
purpose of Wikipedia and the
neutrality required in articles.

Hi @
Jack345110. I'm Maxna Carta, a current New Page Reviewer. Welcome! Great to have you at Wikipedia. I am not an administrator and have no sway over the decision to grant you the permission. You do not yet meet the criteria of 500 edits to Wikipedia articles. I note that six days ago, you made a
request to start the New Page Patrol school and have not yet had a response. You also recently requested the rollback permission which was
declined. In my opinion, you do not demonstrate sufficient article experience or knowledge of guidelines to be granted the New Page perm. This requires an advanced understanding of guidelines that only NPP school or significant experience on the project can provide. I would encourage you to remove this request as it is unlikely to be granted given you were refused rollback permission last week, and the NPP perm is even higher of a responsibility. I love the enthusiasm, but it's too soon IMHO. Have a great week! —

Oh and one more thing. I notice you state you want to become an administrator. I’d take that off your page. Adminship requires being elected by the community and a very new editor wanting adminship from the moment they get here is often frowned upon. That’s because administrators have nothing to do with being a good contributor to article content (although admins are often elected because they’ve done so and proven that’s why they are here). Admins are elected to do tasks not actually related to article contribution. They enforce guidelines, block users for breaching guidelines, mediate discussions, delete articles, investigate users abusing their account, and close discussions to name a few things. These tasks have little do with “being the best editor” and more to do with mopping up mess. Not glamorous work. I’d focus on getting your rejected draft approved and go from there. Cheers —

Hello! I’ve looked through your editing and thought I’d remind you about
WP:NOTSOCIAL. Wikipedia isn’t a social networking service or a social media site. Looking through your goals and contributions, it appears that what you do most is sign people’s guestbooks, even users that haven’t edited in years, so you can get barnstars. This isn’t the goal of Wikipedia. It isn’t for you to go though and sign random users guest books to just get awards. Guestbooks are something you sign if you have seen an editor around Wikipedia and you want to acknowledge them. I look forward to teaching you in the academy, but I encourage you to take a look at your editing, over half of your edits are to the userspace. Just thought I’d give an uninvited suggestion. Feel free to take or decline my advice; just thought I’d leave it. Thanks. - 🔥

The early life section is still completely without citations. You can either add some or remove the section. Every section/paragraph of an article about living people needs a citation.
Many of the sources are still databases, which per
WP:NBASIC footnote 7, shouldn’t be used.
Theres quite a bit of the overly detailed record of past matches. A table may be a good substitute for this.
Feel free to continue on your CVUA work. Good job so far. Please remember to sign your answers (~~~~) when you respond to a question. Thanks! - 🔥

Nope. It starts once you finish all the lessons above. So the alternative task is to look at a few pages that I give you and answer questions. Please answer promptly.
Should
DougDoug be protected and why? If so at what level?
I think it should be protected as it has had quite a few different vandals. I would use semi-protection as most of the vandals are anonymous.
Shadow345110(talk)18:02, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Should
Jason Aldean be protected and why? If so at what level?
I think it should be protected as it has been vandalised many times. I would use maybe the semi-protection or the pending changes protection.
Shadow345110(talk)18:13, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Should
Drew Pavlou be protected and why? If so at what level?
I think it should be protected because it has been vandalised many times. I would use semi-protection as nearly all vandals were ip addresses.
Shadow345110(talk)
Nice! I agree with DougDoug and Jason Aldean, but I disagree with Drew Pavlou. While there has been some vandalism, it hasn’t been very recent or consistent. Protection should normally only be used on vandalism when it’s getting difficult to handle. A revert across a few weeks isn’t a huge problem and will most likely be declined at
WP:RFPP. - 🔥

Kinya Okada, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.
Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.
The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on its
talk page. It is commonplace for new articles to start out as stubs and then attain higher grades as they
develop over time. You may like to take a look at the
grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.
Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now
create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to
Articles for creation if you prefer.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to
create articles yourself without posting a request to
Articles for creation.
I knew it! Also I've linked the Japanese version to the article like I said a while back. Once again, I'm glad that I was able to help! Cheers 🛧

Either way, writing articles for Wikipedia or fighting against vandalism on Wikipedia is greatly appreciated. I've only created one article in the past but I have translated many articles from Japanese to English or the other way.
And for the vandalism part, same here! Even with the fastest anti-vandalism tools like Anti-Vandal or Huggle, other users and the anti-vandal bot ClueBot NG always beats me to it.. 🤣 🛧

Some idli for you!
A plate of Idli for you
Here is a plate of Idli for you. Idli is a south Indian food which became popular throughout India over time. Generally Idli is served with sambar and chutney. The earliest mention of Idli can be found in a writing called
Vaddaradhane by
Shivakotiacharya written in around 920 A.D. Thank you.
Sorry for taking your chance at reverting vandalism at
Ark Encounter, hope these idli suffice as an apology. Seriously though, you're doing great anti-vandal work.
It's South Indian breakfast food, it's really good. Tastes like rice but denser and fluffier in a way. Its hard to describe. I eat it often because of my heritage (I'm
Telugu). Grumpylawnchair (

I need someone to translate a website I know that it is reliable because of
WP:PW/Sources the website ie superluchas.com or some thing like that. But if you look on the comment of my draft
Kai Fujimura I need to know if it has notability. I have the official website as sources and profightdb.com which are reliable but forsome reason it is not enough. Even though my last draft had the same sources. So interrupted am a bit confused but there more experienced so they probably know what they are doing.

Hi @
Tails Wx So I have a friend who speaks Japanese called
Layah50 there are Japanese sources on my article that are actually the official website of the wrestling promotion this person is in. I feel like that might meet notability guidlines. I think she might be able to tell us if it meats notability guidelines. you also said you see alot of data bases I think you might be on about profightdb.com I am using it as it has been put on as a limited reliable source. noah.co.jp is a fully reliable source according to
WP:PW/Sources. I have found other sources just trying to get it translated as it is in Spanish. It is another reliable source according again to
WP:PW/Sources.
Sorry if this sounds like an attack I am just trying to understand it is not you I think my learning difficulties and disorders are affecting me sorry.

@
Grumpylawnchair How do I make the article creation userbox say the page name in the userbox you didn't tell me how to do it and I think you should put how to use it on the userbox page just so if others wanted to use it they know how.
Shadow345110(talk)22:16, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
You would replace "insert name here" in source editor. First, you'd go to the userbox page (
here). Switch to source editor and copy the userboxe's entire code to your user page. The code would look like this -
Userbox
| border-c = #000000
| border-s = 2
| id =
| id-c =
| id-fc =
| id-s =
| info = This user created the article <insert name here>.
| info-a = center
| info-c = #fff
| info-fc = #000
| info-s = 11
But with the brackets (I removed them so they wouldn't tranclude)
You'd then go to the version of this on your user page, replace <insert name here> with the article name. For example, I'm going to use
User:Example for this (I know it's not an article but the process is the same either way). This would produce
@
Grumpylawnchair Sorry to be a pain but is there a way you can make it so you can make it say the page by doing this {{User:Grumpylawnchair/Userboxes/User article creation|Example}} sorry about this. Just because my device is slow and old and I will have to do it bit by bit as I can't copy or paste or have multiple tabs. Also Other Users might not understand what to do. Sorry.
Shadow345110(talk)22:43, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
I don't think its technically possible to do that, as far as I know. If you tell me which articles you want in the userbox and where to put it, I can do it for you. Sorry about that.
Alright. Could you please just ping me whenever you'd like one. I'll keep experimenting to see if I can introduce a undocumented parameter to the userbox. Grumpylawnchair (

@
Grumpylawnchair I think I found a way to add it myself maybe if I do {{Subst:User:Grumpylawnchair/Userboxes/User article creation}} then I can change the code that way if it fails Ill let you know.

P.S. I wasn't comfortable doing number 3 because of
Wikipedia:Userboxes#Potentially_divisive_words ("Avoid negative verb phrases which can be potentially divisive, such as: dislikes, despises, hates, loathes") and I couldn't find a picture of Humberto Carillo. Hope thats alright.

Hello. I have one question. Why did you write
[3] in such way? It doesn't follow the format of other pro wrestler. We don't list the matches like a MMA or Boxing fighter.

Don't worry, take your time. My point is the tables aren't included in the
style guide. There is no biography, just a table of matches. Since pro wrestling is scrpited, every wrestler has hundreds of matches per year, so we don't include it. --

@
HHH Pedrigree I am not busy now so I will answer your question. The reason I used tables is because Illusion Flame suggested I put the information in tables because it was such a long section of details that way a table would be easier to understand. maybe? I don't know @
Illusion Flame will hopefully tell us why and ping you.
