Hey. I was wondering if you could copyedit the Reception section, when you can get around to it. It's not a top priority matter, so you could take your time with it, I know you've got other copyediting to do. I tried asking on the GoCE request page (the previous copyeditor after you didn't copyedit the reception section), but it got removed sometime today for whatever reason. Again, it's not an urgent matter. --

Thanks, I'd really appreciate it. I think I will take it to FA within the next month or so. I only hope it doesn't fail this time, it'd be the third or fourth.--

Just a quick reminder, but again, if you have other things to do, this can be done at a later date. I don't want to seem like I'm rushing you or anything.--

Sorry, I haven't forgotten. Just trying to tie up a few things with the GOCE and I should be able to work on it in the next few days. Cheers. –

I can't really thank you enough for your help in this article. I have a feeling it's gonna be FA soon, and you've helped so much. --

It's my pleasure. Sorry it took me so long to get to it. Have had a very hectic few weeks. I have to say that the article is looking great now, the writing is tight, and I think it has a good shot at FA. Let me know if you need any more assistance. I sincerely hope you get the FA – you really deserve it! –

I'm not feeling too optimistic about the way things are going. If it fails, it's not like it hasn't happened before, 3 failed FA's, but I'd really like to see it become FA. I'm not sure if there's gonna be any support at all for it's promotion to FA.--

Thanks for you help and support so far. It's going OK. The only thing I'm worried about is that it will won't pass with neither "Support" or "oppose" being present for the FAC.--

No problems. I am concerned about that too. It is probably looking very messy right now. Let's try to settle all the major issues, and if necessary, withdraw and resubmit for a clean vote. But having said that, I'm not familiar with the workings of FA and am not sure how they operate. Let's see what happens and get advice from those who are more experienced in this area once we have got everything up to shape. Cheers. –

Hello. I am striving for FA for
No Rest for the Wicked (Supernatural), but a reviewer requested a good copyedit for the article. I saw your name on the Copyeditors Guild, and was wondering if you would you mind doing so? It's a relatively short article. Thanks :)
Ωphois15:33, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I just had a quick look at the FAC and I can see that Airplaneman from
WP:GOCE worked on this just last month. I'm quite busy at the moment, plus we are wrapping up our
drive. Also, it looks like you need someone good with working on prose. I don't really do that. I do technical copyedits, i.e. spelling, grammar,
WP:MOS compliance, etc. I suggest you put it on our
Requests page, and specify that you need someone to look at the prose. Thanks and good luck with this. Cheers. -

September 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive Conclusion
GOCE September 2010 backlog elimination drive progress graphs
Greetings from the Guild of Copy EditorsSeptember 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. Thanks to all who participated! Several of our top editors were called away to real life concerns during the month (be careful out there, people!). This meant that once again, we did not meet all our lofty targets, but we did come close.
Stats
Out of 76 registered editors, 45 actively participated.
We nearly wiped out the 2008 articles from the backlog—there were only 13 remaining when the drive closed.
We reduced the backlog by 725 articles (11.5%), so it was another successful drive.
A total of 59 barnstars will be awarded to 40 editors—well done, and congratulations to all.
Barnstars
If you copy edited at least 4,000 words, you qualify for a barnstar. If you edited in the July 2010 GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive, you may have earned rollover words, which counted towards this month's barnstars (except for the leaderboard awards). Any unused word credits will be held over for the next drive, as long as you participated in the September drive. Over the course of the next week or two, we will be handing out the barnstars.
Click here to see a list of barnstar winners.
We will be holding our next drive in November. You can sign up here.
A huge "thank you" to all editors who helped clear the backlog and to others who helped out behind-the-scenes. See you at the next drive, and until then, please continue to help us work through the backlog. Happy editing!
Quick question about my barnstar for the September backlog drive: the Leaderboard has me tied for fourth place in the article count, but the barnstar is for fifth place. I was wondering about the apparent discrepancy...? //

The article is currently under GAN (
Talk:Kubera/GA1). The reviewer has given me 2 weeks to improve the article. As the comments, the article needs a copyedit, especially in terms of tense. Also, the article needs a copyeditor who is non-Indian, non-Hindu editor with excellent English, so he point out unclear Hindu ideas and jargon. IMO, you fit the bill. Can you please copyedit the article? Thanks. --

Hi, thanks for considering me. I am currently quite tied up with work, and I already promised another editor that I would work on his article first. Since you have some time, I will be happy to do it, but you need to allow me a week or so to get to it. Cheers. –

I have completed
Rati. I do not have much time so I did not save each edit at a time, rather, I worked in whole sections. You can see the whole edit
here. Good luck with the GA. Cheers. –
