Heya,
Thanks for fixing my numerous spelling errors on the story part of the Guild Wars page. I should probably have used a spell checker judging by the number of them! :) I also apologise for trampling on changes you'd made earlier in the week, but I'd been working on an older version of the page and didn't properly check the page before submitting.

Hey no worries about the changes, it's much more concise now so it's looking good (I knew I was right when I thought to myself "Hmmm I could've sworn the story section was a lot longer before!). The spelling changes were minor and half of them are probably unnecessary (it's just I'm pedantic :P).

Hi. I have just nominated several Guild Wars-related articles for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guild Wars articles. My rationale is explained there, but in brief I don't think this is encyclopedic information. As you are the principal author of most of these articles, you may wish to post your comments and monitor that discussion. — Kaustuv Chaudhuri 12:12, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Kaustuv, I've provided my comments.
Rambutaan 00:30, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
There seems to be a developing consensus for a merge of the character articles. I've taken a first shot at it: User:Kaustuv/List of Guild Wars characters. It is completely unsourced, and based entirely off information on GuildWiki. I'm not a Guild Wars player. Would you see an article such as this as a suitable compromise. (Feel free to edit/correct this page; it can be moved to the main namespace if the AfD is finished and the consensus is to merge.) — Kaustuv Chaudhuri 17:02, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Sure, a merge is a suitable compromise (if indeed that goes ahead). I'll check it out ASAP. Thanks for your efforts. -- Rambutaan 22:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't agree with this edit. Elite skills are explicitly mentioned previously in the section, and therefore, it should be explained how to acquire them. Do you have another reasoning behind the edit that I haven't seen? Epsoul 00:37, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
How do I go about giving a fair use rationale? -- NLUT
It's not really much, just stating that the screenie you got isn't stepping on anyone's toes :). -- Rambutaan 04:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello Rambutaan,
You wrote on my talk page about Image:EverQuest - The Temple of Solusek Ro.jpg, i added a small comment on it about the origin of the content. The material is (c) Sony Online Entertainment.

Thanks for uploading Image:Gwparagon.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:07, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I just noticed your addition to the GW:EN article. Just one note, citations come after punctuation per the style guideline. [1] Eric Sandholm 10:16, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi, on the page
Talk:Comparison_of_massively_multiplayer_online_role-playing_games, you said Maple Story has 50+ million subscriptions. However, the article
[1] mentions 5 million, so I would assume you had a slight error while reading the press.
Unlike Pay2Play games which track active subscriptions only (Such as WoW), Maple Story is a free game, it would be impossible for Nexon to track the number of active accounts/subscriptions. This indicates the figure most likely includes all registered accounts currently on Maple Story, which will almost always be significantly higher than the actual population, which could be anywhere from 500,000 - 2,500,000.
I just thought I'd bring this to your attention, even though it is a bit late. --

Thank you for uploading Image:Gwdervish.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG ( talk) 12:07, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Rambutaan. Based on the templates on your talk page, I would like you to consider joining the Article Rescue Squadron. Rescue Squadron members are focused on rescuing articles for deletion, that might otherwise be lost forever. I think you will find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia. Article Rescue Members are not necessarily inclusionists, all wikipedians are warmly welcome to join.~~~~ |
