Hi, I'm Kaitymh. Prisencolinensinainciusol, thanks for creating The Mayor of Zalamea!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Add some references to the page so that editors and readers can verify the information. Here's some info on references: /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Citing_sources
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Kaitymh ( talk) 20:32, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Wayzata, Minnesota, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lakota ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, for properly sourced content, no matter how poorly written it is, it must not be deleted without first reaching consensus. You may have genuine reasons to delete it (e.g. wrong info, sources misrepresentation), but you are still required to discuss and reach consensus first. Imagine every user is allowed to freely delete some sourced content without reaching consensus - Wikipedia will be gone as it is easier to delete than to write. You are welcome to rewrite and improve sections that are not good enough, but deleting content, especially a lot of it, must reach consensus first as per Wikipedia policy. Thanks BigCat82 ( talk) 08:05, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello. Your recent edit to
Wayzata High School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list
should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's

Hello, Prisencolinensinainciusol. In the future, be careful to check that a matter is sourced before tagging it for sourcing. Like WP:Citation overkill makes clear, a reference may be at the end of a paragraph and support that entire paragraph. So regarding this edit you made, I engaged in a bit of WP:Citation overkill just so that the line is not again thought to be unsourced.
Also, per WP:CLAIM, be careful not to use "claims" unless absolutely needed, such as in the case of a murder trial. So regarding this and this edit you made, I partially reverted you on that. Flyer22 ( talk) 07:51, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

While I appreciate all efforts to improve the encyclopedia, I don't think you did anyone any favors in attempting to rescue this article. The text you've left describes a person who was born in 1640, died in 1702, and yet served in the VA House of Burgesses in 1619. Not likely, I'd say. I've take the matter to WP:AFD. WikiDan61 ChatMe! Thanks for uploading File:Zhongshangirlsschool1.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 21:46, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to
Luigi, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some
guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the
welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You cannot just move a page without a discussion.

On that note, "disambiguating links" does not mean going to every article and changing Luigi to the redirect Luigi (character). Not only is the link you're providing broken in many cases, you're creating more work for yourself in preparation for something that might not even be approved via consensus. I recommend you stop modifying every Luigi link in existence until there's actually a need to do so. -- ThomasO1989 ( talk) 03:37, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Hello, Prisencolinensinainciusol. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Senior seminar, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Salimfadhley ( talk) 21:32, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
With reference to your revert today, could you look at [7] on the ISIS Talk page, please? The UN has not designated ISIS as a terrorist group, it has only referred to them as being terrorists in various utterances. There is a big distinction between those two things, and it was discussed at great length on the Talk page and in particular in an important discussion in another forum (for which there is another link in the link I have provided). Your edit will definitely be reverted, and I wanted you to know the reason why in advance. -- P123ct1 ( talk) 20:53, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

As a result of a community decision, broad editing restrictions apply to all pages broadly related to the Syrian Civil War. These sanctions are described at Talk:Syrian Civil War/General sanctions and a brief summary is included below:

Hey I want to thank you for picking up the ball (I dropped) and doing the CIF sections. I got too involved in creating the details of San Diego Section and ran out of gas to do it for all the other sections. I'm surprised I didn't even tackle my old home section, Central Coast, probably because I don't understand the new league structure. Its good to see another person with the knowledge and interest to keep up the work.
While I have your attention, I saw you changed the name of Pasadena High School. if you look at the disambig page for Muir High School, there really is only the one--the second entry is a former name. Specifying the location seems unnecessarily complicated. I guess I didn't have the balls to rename the article at least down to John Muir High School but I'll suggest it is appropriate. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

The article CIF Northern Section has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Section 4 (NYSPHSAA) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I have not had any luck finding a replacement ref (both current ones are dead links) for the SAT claims. Have you tried? I don't doubt that it is (or at least was at some point) correct but per the school guidelines this type of comparison to other schools really needs an external source (not just the school website). Not a required thing, but you might wanna consider archiving your talk page, since it's generally recommended to archive once the page grows larger than 75KB, and yours is way over two times that amount. TheStickMan [✆Talk] 09:17, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
