Thank you for your message. I am currently tied up at the moment. But, I will post my response soon. Best regards.-- Pinay06 08:03, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello again! Thank you for your lengthy message. You have provided a very enlightening discourse on the subject. I am afraid that it is physically impossible for me to do a research at the Bohol Privincial Library, much less the Eskaya tribe right now. I am currently not in Bohol. At any rate, here are some points regarding the Eskaya article:
I look forward to seeing more contributions from you! Best regards. -- Pinay06 23:23, 5 December 2006 (UTC): (BTW, were you working at the PPDO?)
I'm on the process of making some overhaul on the article. This looks harder than I thought! -- Pinay06 01:53, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
You did it! Yehey!-- Pinay06 01:13, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I was using the semi-automated live spelling check tool, and it does not provide an opportunity to preview the article and admire the beautifully colored boxes. The inuse tag was not at the very top, which might have made it more visible when in edit mode, but I can't be sure I wouldn't have blown through that barricade before I saw it anyway, as the misspellings come thick and fast. Before you write me off as an annoying jerk, check with your friend Pinay06; I think we met under similar circumstances, and we now get along splendidly. Happy editing! Dude, no worries. Thanks for the spelling. PerezkellyPerez
The <ref name="classification"> was not closed, and all i had to do was add a forward slash to close it <ref name="classification"/>. All is showing now. Please re-check and let me know if anything is still missing. I will also double check. -- Pinay ( talk• email) 07:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Prez, the first review of Eskaya is already here now. Please take note. How r u? -- Pinay ( talk• email) 01:24, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
I saw your comment on Eskayan's talk page. I'm outraged? How? Since when? -- Chris S. 22:22, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Chris, "outraged historical linguist" was intended as a compliment to your intellectual rigor. I'm afraid my silly Australian sense of humour doesn't always carry in text form! --Perez

Hello Perezkelly, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image ( Image:Citilogo.gif) was found at the following location: User talk:Perezkelly. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot) -talk 11:07, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi Perez. I understand now that there was more than one Afghan cameleer named Dost Mahomet. However, the disambiguation page states that Dost Mahomet (born 1951) participated in the Burke and Wells expedition - which happened in 1860-61.
Obviously there's an error somewhere. Any ideas? Annatto ( talk) 12:32, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a million for the hint! The link on the article's page didn't work but www.scribd.com did. For the list I tried to compile only the words for "tree", "horn", "mountain/hill" and "full" were missing. As you seem to be the author of the paper, do you happen to know what those words are in Eskayan? — N-true ( talk) 01:43, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
It's incredibly hard to ID Aboriginal folk taxonomy terms to a specific language; most biologists simply used "native name" or similar without any distinction. In any case:
Tindale, N. B. (1951): Comments on supposed representations of giant bird tracks at Pimba. Records of the South Australian Museum 9: 381-382.
Original source is given there as: Dawson, James (1881): Australian Aborigines, where it is transcribed "meeheeruung parrinmall".
Paradise Parakeet provides an interesting and perhaps slightly easier case. There is a rare folk (settler) name for that bird, "Brinepool", which seems to originate from an Aboriginal name "brin[e/a]bool" or similar. As P. pulcherrimus was always restricted in range in post-contact times, this case should be easier to resolve (see perhaps also Chisholm, A.H.: Brinebool the beautiful. Pacific [Sydney], August 17 1923, and/or: Williams, K. 1977 'Brinepool' the beautiful. Qld Ornithol. Newsl. 8:10).
PS: see also Talk:Nullarbor_Plain#Origin_of_name for that. Back in the early 1920s, some considered "nullus arbor" a pseudoetymology. Dysmorodrepanis ( talk) 22:28, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eskayan language, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Auxiliary language and Cebuano ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
