Following a
motion, the Arbitration Committee rescinded the restrictions on the page name move discussions for the two Ireland pages that were
enacted in June 2009.
Tooki complained about your behavior on my talk page. I see you cited
WP:BRD above ("I'm against changing the status quo period hence you do not have WP:CONSENSUS in reverting (including merging) which is what WP:BRD is all about"). If you read the linked page, you'll see the following:
BRD is not an excuse to revert any change more than once.
The first person to start a discussion is the person who is best following BRD.
The objective is to seek consensus, not force one's own will upon other editors.
This is actually what BRD is all about. Instead of telling people they don't have consensus because you don't like their edit, try discussing your concerns on the talk page or open a form of dispute resolution yourself.

I strongly disagree with calling all streaming series “web series”, because streaming services like Netflix are predominantly accessed on television sets, then on mobile apps, not via web browser.
Additionally, to me, “web series” has a connotation of low-budget content or of content made as ancillary to a “main” product like a film, TV series, or ad campaign.
Of course, it’s debatable whether there should be any distinction between a TV series first released on broadcast or cable, vs one first released on a streaming platform, especially as the traditional broadcast/cable networks have all launched streaming services of their own. I’d probably just merge the two lists to “TV series” and call it a day.
Anyhow, I changed both instances back to “streaming”. (I wish you’d originally just corrected the instance I had overlooked, rather than tersely reverting my well-reasoned and explained edit.)
@
Tooki I strongly disagree with your explanation. And also, what on earth is this "streaming services like Netflix are predominantly accessed on television sets, then on mobile apps, not via web browser" even based on (not a question btw), not as far as I'm aware of such. You yourself (whether it's true or false, isn't my concern) watching on television and/or mobile isn't a valid reasons to push your POV into the article. Netflix or alike is accessible by connecting to the internet and/or World Wide WEB (WWW) hence using the term "web" is correct, try plugging out the ethernet cable and/or disconnecting from the WiFi, I guess one can watch Netflix or alike on television magically without such technology in 2023. In addition, the formatting is consistent with tons of other Korean BLPs articles here hence I don't see why the disruption to the established status quo. As far as I'm aware of, you have no consensus to change it, in fact, per
WP:BRD you shouldn't have reverted including after couple of months past. — 🎄🎆

First of all, I kindly ask that you restrain your tone. It was likely unintended, but you came off as quite dismissive and condescending. While I am sure that you are acting in good faith, I believe your conclusions are incorrect, so allow me to go into why:
”Internet” and “Web” are not synonyms. The Web is part of the Internet, but the Internet is much more than the Web. You’re only using the Web when using a Web browser. This is not the case when viewing via a TV (using its Netflix app), settop box (using its Netflix app), streaming stick (using its Netflix app), or using the Netflix mobile app on a phone or tablet. When you access Netflix via app (whether on TV, settop box, stick, or mobile device), you are using the Internet, but you are not using the Web.
The overwhelming majority (about 71%) of Netflix viewing (by number of viewers) is done on television sets (about 45%) or mobile apps (about 27%). Comparatively little of it (about 22%) is done via Web browser. This is not an assumption or guess, nor “POV” based on my own preferences, but rather based on actual viewing statistics:
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1233952/devices-netflix-tv-shows-us/ with which I was familiar before making the edit.
The page
Squid Game, which will have had vastly more editing (and thus consensus) than the actress’s page, calls it a “television series”. (As I said in my original message, it’s debatable whether streaming series should even be distinct from traditional TV series. The pages for other series that had their first (or only) run on Netflix quite consistently call them “television series”, “streaming series”, or “streaming television series”. These should be indicative of dominant terminology in English.)
As such, calling Squid Game a “Web series” seems very inappropriate given that:
it is 3.5x as likely to be watched without use of the Web.
it is typically referred to as a “television series” or “streaming series” (or simply “series”).
Consequently, would you accept me simply changing it to “television series” and merging the existing TV and Web filmography lists under the heading “Television” or “Series”?
As far as the perceived procedural errors you’re accusing me of:
Consistency between pages is not a reason to maintain poor terminology. Another option is to propagate the improvement across to those other pages.
Prior consensus is not required before making changes, especially ones as small as this. My edit was a legitimate good-faith edit, and my re-edit equally so. In both cases I provided a full explanation for the edit, in contrast with the terse, vague edit summaries you provided when reverting them.
Reaching
consensus includes “an effort to incorporate all editors' legitimate concerns”, but I do not feel you’ve made sufficient effort to address my concerns, since you simply dismissed them as “POV” or “true or false, isn’t my concern”.
WP:BRD is not mandatory, as its own page explains. My approach fell into one of the alternatives listed on that page.
As I believe that this response more than thoroughly explains why my edit was justified, and I ask that you back down and allow me to make the proposed edit without further interference. If you do not agree, kindly copy this discussion into the article’s talk page for broader discussion.
@
Tooki I already stated my point above which doesn't changes anything regardless of your lengthy explanation which I still disagreed on. And all calling someone for being dismissive nor condescending just because they don't agreed with is a form of
WP:PERSONAL ATTACK regardless of you meaning it or not, which in this case, you don't mean it, but regardless this is not good even if you're angry. I'm against changing the status quo period hence you do not have
WP:CONSENSUS in reverting (including merging) which is what
WP:BRD is all about, if you have any concerns on such then you should be requesting to change the status quo on
WT:KO instead given that the status quo i.e. categorization of Netflix/Disney+/Amazon Prime/Viki/Viu/etc as "Web series" applies on every single Korean actor/actress BLPs article that I know of (which is more than 500+ that I have on my
WP:WATCHlist) in which there is no such thing that
Kim Joo-ryoung is an exception. Of which, if you're intenting on doing so, I'm requesting you not to get my involvement nor mentioned my name nor did I gave you permission to copy this entire discussion (you can copy your own comments but without my username) otherwise I will considered this as a form of
WP:HARASSMENT as changing the status quo on every single Korean actor/actress BLPs article has no relationship to this discussion and my comments as I have stated clearly in preceding sentence, editors are to have an neutral rationale for their discussion. However, as the discussion if opened on
WT:KO is intended to be neutral, I will still give my
WP:!VOTE. Otherwise,
WP:DROPTHESTICK as I have no addition comments to addon to here regardless of your another lengthy reply, if applicable, which I'm still going to disagreed on. —Paper9oll(

Just to clarify, it is not the fact that you disagree that makes your behavior appear condescending, it is the tone you have used in expressing your replies. Telling you this was simply intended as a reminder for you to please remain civil. As a reminder, according to
WP:NOPA, “discussion of a user's conduct or history is not in itself a personal attack when done in the appropriate forum for such discussion (for example, the other editor's
talk page, or
Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents).” As such, I am confident that my comments did not constitute a personal attack.
The appearance of dismissiveness comes from the fact that you have not shown any effort at all to actually incorporate my legitimate concerns. You cite WP:BRD repeatedly, yet appear wholly unwilling to engage in the “D” in BRD.
Your reverts appear to me to be a clear violation of
WP:DRNC and the refusal to discuss seems to me like an example of
WP:BRNOD.
FYI, it is within the realm of the possible for something to be wrong — or merely worthy of improvement — on 500+ pages. Even a small improvement is an improvement, after all. I totally agree with you that consistency is an important goal, but think that the goal should be to use the best terminology consistently. In this instance, I think it’s better to use terminology that is unambiguous: clearly there isn’t total consensus about whether OTT-first TV series are “web series” or not. But OTT-first series are, without doubt, “series”, and without doubt they are on “streaming” services, so the common “streaming series” is a completely unambiguous term that eliminates confusion. —

@
Tooki Please
drop the stick here instead of accusing me of BRNOD when I already tried my best to engage without losing my cool and clearly this discussion isn't going anywhere as neither of us agree with each other? In fact, as part of
WP:3O, I already directed you to go to
WT:KO to change the status quo i.e. changing "Web series" to "Streaming series", in addition to "Web shows" to "Streaming shows", for categorising OTT drama series and OTT variety show, respectively, in Korean BLP articles as your proposed changes doesn't just affect
Kim Joo-ryoung article itself hence it is better to have community discussion for such to get community consensus in which the discussion can be reference back to in edit summary instead of just getting my consensus and changing only a single article which would certainly get reverted by other editors which find it inconsistent hence having a community discussion that can referenced back is always a better option.
I'm willing to agree to disagree to "Streaming series" as mentioned above however, I still recommend that you open up a 3O discussion at
WT:KO based on the rationale mentioned above instead of just talking to me and getting angry for not agreeing with you and in turn calling me dismissive, condescending, and rude when this is my talking style in real life hence why I felt kind of offended on such hence why I considered it as personal attack when in fact, I didn't even attacked nor being uncivil against you at all other than disagreeing and speaking out my line of thoughts in small as those are trivia details that to me is simply not important to the actual discussion. Hence, I don't see why I'm deserved being called such words which to me is offensive even if it isn't to you. While my speaking may be straight forward line of thoughts based on personal knowledge or facts which may or may not offended you, if I somehow did then sorry on that, however this is simply how I speak in real life in which no one be it be it friends or strangers or my teachers or my clients or my work's bosses have told me off on such nor have I get beaten for such nor did I failed my English in schools exams just because my speaking (oral) style and writing style isn't up to your standards. I don't think that it's a prerequisite to have superior English skills in terms of speaking style which also collerates to writing style as long as the reply are understandable by the receiving other person and free of any vaglar language, it is considered as acceptable which I think that you understand what I reply hence there isn't any language barrier that causes my reply to be uninterpretation. —Paper9oll(

Thank you for taking the time to respond again. I appreciate the apology, and likewise extend an apology to you if you felt offended, as that wasn’t my intent, either.
I will take time to consider how and where to move forward with editing the “web series” issue, taking your suggestion under advice, before doing anything.
(However, please don’t attempt to predict that others would revert or object the same as you — let them speak for themselves, as their editing priorities may not be the same as yours.)
(The remainder is not a re-discussion of the topic at hand, nor an attempt to regurgitate policy in my own words. It is just well-intentioned feedback from one person to another on improving interpersonal communication.)
As someone who is aware that I sometimes come across as more angry or upset (in real life or online) than I actually am, I know what it’s like to be told to be nicer or calmer. It doesn’t feel nice to be told this. Truly, I know. However, the writer/speaker’s intent does not govern how others will perceive what (and how) they actually say or write. Your tone is often very aggressive, whether you intend it or not, and whether realize it or not, but as the reader, we can only go by what you have actually written, since we cannot access your mind.
For example, writing “what on earth is X?” is much more aggressive than “what do you mean by X?”, and “I’m sorry, I am uncertain what you mean by X, can you clarify?” is much gentler still.
I also totally understand that someone can be having a bad day and respond in a much more aggressive way than they would when in a better mood. Given that you appear to be very sensitive to what people say to you, maybe wait a day or two till it is no longer fresh in your mind, and then re-read your first response to me as if you were the person it was addressed to. You may realize it is much harsher than you intended! (Again, speaking from personal experience, I have revisited forum posts I wrote a week earlier while in a bad mood and thought “damn, what was wrong me when I wrote that?!?”)
There is nothing fundamentally wrong with being direct — that’s basically my style, too. But there’s a fine line between “direct” and “rude”, and you crossed it right in your first reply to me. You say you’re just speaking your thoughts based on your “knowledge and facts”, but the fact is that others have knowledge and facts, too, and they deserve to be heard as well. (It’s especially important to listen/read carefully when someone is telling you you’re mistaken, because they might have more knowledge or experience than you. And if they are actually mistaken in the end, they’ll be much more receptive to your feedback if it’s given in a calm, respectful way rather than with flippant, rude comments.)
I know for a fact that it isn’t just me who has perceived your tone as harsh, impatient, and dismissive, as your talk page archive has several examples of people telling you this, including an administrator warning you to not be dismissive of others. Multiple people have had to ask for clarification because your edit summaries on reverts included no detail whatsoever, which is perceived as disrespectful by many (from their point of view: they made the effort to try and improve the article, but you couldn’t even be bothered to be specific about your objection, giving the impression that you don’t think their work is even worthy of a proper response, even if you didn’t expressly state that). So while I believe you that you don’t intend to come across this way, you may be unaware of just how harsh, impatient, and bossy you appear to others. Making you aware of this isn’t an attack, it’s not to offend you, it’s simply constructive feedback in the hopes that it can help you communicate more effectively.
Your English is excellent, by the way, I never claimed otherwise. If, however, English isn’t your native language, you may choose to take advice from native speakers like me, especially in matters of terminology and connotation. (I do the same with German. I’m a near-native-level speaker, but still there are little things that native speakers have a better feel for than I do, so I defer to them.)
My hope with this feedback is that you will reflect a moment and consider how you can tweak your communication to help achieve WP’s expectation of discussion and consensus-building being friendly, collaborative, and gracious, so that everyone can work happily towards the common goal of making WP even better.
Noted, thanks on the feedback. Will take note on my writing and avoid throwing in Singlish-styled questioning into it. —Paper9oll(

I recently noticed the Running Man (Korea) episode labeled as "686" that aired on December 31, 2023 was considered as a "special" according to SBS, which you can clearly see here:
https://programs.sbs.co.kr/enter/runningman/vods/55286 (it is the third from the top). That means episodes in 2024 begin with 686. I've made the change in the 2023 episodes and that hasn't been touched. However, I also made the changes in the 2024 episodes putting the 686 (aired on January 7, 2024) and 687 (aired on January 14, 2024). Since then, several users have made more changes with the episode numbers and is back to the wrong ones. Not sure how to make the changes so they actually stick. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure this is a disruptive editing behavior. I've seen it in the past in other pages and this time it might be an issue with the way SBS released the last episode of 2023. Many sites who upload the video just numbered it as "686" because that was the next number in the sequence, so when SBS labeled it as a "special", I'm sure it threw many people off as of now all those sites are off-sequence with the numbering.
Something similar happened to me during my edits of "Immortal Songs" and it took a while for people to realize I had the correct numbering based on the KBS website. At least, I'm hoping this is also the case with "Running Man" and not the usual annoying bots who try to mess things up.
I'll keep an eye on how things go after these changes.

May I know what do you mean by "blurry mess"? The photo that I uploaded wasn't blurry. Kindly justify why do you keep disallowing changes of Rowoon's profiles on this page, even when I used his korean wiki page photo available in wikicommon, it was also taken off.
@
MK4ewsbdi It is clearly a "blurry mess" with its low resolution and there isn't any evidence that the image belongs to you even though you self-proclaimed as "own work". Regardless, the current image in the Infobox isn't broken hence don't fix it. Newer is not equals to better. Also read

My dear paper doll,
There is a full high resolution of it on WikiCommons, however, when I uploaded and changed it, it took up the entire page of wikipedia, even when I changed the ratio to 0.2. So I changed the size of the original cut down to 25% of the resolution and reuploaded to fit in. So if you can tell me how to change the size ratio of the original high resolution of pixel 2254x4000 pixels to fit into the ratio allowed by wikipedia?
regarding the evidence, what evidence do you want? I own the S23 Ultra which was used to take the photo. I paid for my flight and hotel and flew to Bangkok to see him in the Bangkok fanmeet personally on 27 Jan in ThunderDome Bangkok and took the photo myself from my seat. I went there to take a photo so that I can change the old one in wikipedia. What other evidence do you want? I have already uploaded both versions into wikicommon.
Your response is much appreciated. Also, you didn't reply me why the first time i tried to change his profile to the one used in korean wikipedia page (available in wikicommon), it was also taken down by you. That photo was free for use too.
@
MK4ewsbdi No need for lengthy explanations. Follow the instructions outlined on the file's page on Commons to submit the necessary permissions. Additionally, the image you uploaded is indeed of low resolution and/or low quality and has a watermark despite self-proclaiming as "free for use". There are older images for the subject in Commons that are better, and as stated earlier, newer is not equals better. — 🧧🍊

The
mobile visual editor is now the default editor for users who never edited before, at a small group of wikis.
Research shows that users using this editor are slightly more successful publishing the edits they started, and slightly less successful publishing non-reverted edits. Users who defined the wikitext editor as their default on desktop will get the wikitext editor on mobile for their first edit on mobile as well.

The
mw.config value wgGlobalGroups now only contains groups that are active in the wiki. Scripts no longer have to check whether the group is active on the wiki via an API request. A code example of the above is: if (/globalgroupname/.test(mw.config.get("wgGlobalGroups"))).

Hello, i just got your message regarding the changes on the Born Pink world tour page. I deleted the text because it's hateful, Le Parisien uploaded the article about Blackpink without giving reasonable reasons as to why they rated the show so poorly with some arguments complaining about Jennie leaving the stage for a minute while in reality it was due to a wardrobe malfunction. Unfortunately, i wasn't at their show but i do know loads of people who did go and only had positive stuff so say. This is why i would prefer for it not to be on the website.

Hello, Paper9oll, you mentioned in the article
ILLIT that, "rather confused why did you decided to edit a older revision and undid couple of constructive changes such as date fixing" while reverting my edits (before you restore some of them). I want to inform you that its because some of my edits were made after i move by copy paste, and after the copy paste move was reversed, some of my edits made disappeared, so I am just adding back the version which I remember, and under the filmography section, I just put the citation needed since there could be reliable sources out there and we can add in without having to remove entirely

NelsonLee20042020 Kindly refrain from doing so moving forward on every articles of such scenario, if you want to restore your "deleted" content from reverted revision, simply go to View history, find your edit (e.g. 17:43, March 10, 2024 NelsonLee20042020 (talk|contribs) on
Illit (group)), click the date which should load the revision, click Edit, copy the selected changes that you want to restore, open new tab for the same article but load the live version (i.e. not the older revision that you already opened in the previous tab), click Edit, and paste the copied material earlier, check and verify your changes for any errors before publishing, and there you have your "deleted" content restored.

Structured data on Commons will no longer ask whether you want to leave the page without saving. This will prevent the “information you’ve entered may not be saved” popups from appearing when no information have been entered. It will also make file pages on Commons load faster in certain cases. Hello there! i saw you message me about the SBS Running Man Main Episode list that you reverted. i just want to discuss about that.
i use the source straight from the SBS Site, especially AllVOD SBS that had VOD of Running man that separated Special Episode from the main list and was not listed as "686회" or "Episooe 686", and i would think that you make a mistake about reverting it, since using info from the actual SBS Website should be counted as source. if i'm using info/source outside SBS Website and outside confirmed news on korean news/info site, i'm fine with it. but since i'm using SBS website for the confirmed episode list number of running man, it shouldn't be reverted from what i have seen.

Can I ask why you keep removing my information regarding moonbin? I'm not violating anything and I'm extremely offended as a fan of his that you'd state so. The information I am providing came from his mother via his management company Fantagio music. We will talk about this from the link you mentioned on page 53.
link 1 is to download the 744 DL album.
link 2 1628 albums
Link 3 has 7,599 albums.
I'm not sure if the second and third links are separate. Or the amount in the third link will be combined with the second link.
But if we don't include the second and third album links, the total would be 9,227 albums, not including the first download link. If you put them all together The total number of albums will be 9971.
That's not yet 10,229 albums. There might be information in the fourth link, but I can't open the fourth link.
I don't think you customized information about the album. But I want to know Can you suggest how to access the information in your fourth link?
