Hi. Please note that the cricketers you've recently created fail the notability requirements for cricketers. For the Associate Teams, the cricketers are only notable after they have played in one match in a Regional Final tournament. The series against Belgium does not count. Please do not create any more articles that do not meet the notabilty requirements. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:25, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
@ LugnutsThanks for notifying me. I will stick to the rules and was unaware of the same as a newcomer :). Thanks again. mitratanmoy 12:40, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
@ Lugnuts. Need your help to get some doubts cleared. I was checking this [ Jersey Twenty20 Cricketers] and felt that the players in this list do not meet the notability requirements although pages for all these individuals are created. Am I missing something? I saw pages for 2 players are missing and could not resist myself from creating for them. :P (even though you asked me not to)
Hi. Please stop changing the cap numbers for cricketers as you did here and here. You've done it on other articles too and they are now incorrect. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:40, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
@ LugnutsThanks for your response. But help me to understand why the ODI and T20I caps in cricinfo should be considered as incorrect. Considering this page, when the link on number of ODI caps is clicked, it takes to this page where also the ODI caps is mentioned as 1 (instead of 23). Same is applicable to T20I caps as well. mitratanmoy 9:20, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
@ Lugnuts.Gosh!!!! I figured out now and what a blunder I did. My sincere apologies. I am reverting those changes and will update the cap accordingly. Pardon me. Acted like a complete stupid!! mitratanmoy 9:58, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi there. I noticed that you recently updated some player lists for international cricket teams, including Jersey and Guernsey, and for some of the early World Cup matches. I fixed a few (mostly small) errors. Please be careful when updating these lists as it is easy to incorporate errors, especially with the sorting. If you do any updates to these in future (and you are welcome to!), please note the following: 1) Update all players, not just one or two (some users do this and it makes it hard to keep accurate) 2) Use the stats in the references listed on the article above the table; don't round averages up or down 3) Make sure to update the displayed numbers and the sortable values, including matching the sorting format to other rows in that page (e.g. often a high score of 4 not out would be sort|0045|4*, i.e. first three numbers for the score and last either a 0 for out or 5 for not out; this ensure that 4* is ranked higher than 4 out when the column is sorted). 4) Update the 'as of date' at the top of the list.
Ps: Welcome to WP, and I am glad you share an interest in cricket. Editing is not a race... we are all here to help keep WP up to date and accurate. Personally I mostly focus on players lists, stats and Associate international series (plus some domestic tournaments). Bs1jac ( talk) 14:11, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
@@ Bs1jac Thanks and apologies at the same time. Unfortunately, I figured this sorting mechanism little late. And by the time I went back and fixed one set, you fixed the other one. These were lessons learnt for me and hopefully will not make these errors again. And my focus area is same as of yours excluding the domestic ones. So undoubtedly, we will keep interacting.😃 ( talk) 20:11, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

For your good work on women's T20I player lists. You would be doing a great service to WP:CRICKET if you could focus on taking a lead role in creating these lists for all of the women's teams that have debuted recently (there are several not yet created, see Women's Twenty20 International), and then maintaining them occasionally. Men's is well covered, but women's cricket needs much more help. Thanks! Bs1jac ( talk) 10:13, 22 June 2019 (UTC) |
@ Bs1jac.Thanks!; This means a lot. I will keep those created and updated as much as I can. Will try my best. mitratanmoy 19:28, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
@ Bs1jac.Thanks! Sorry for late reply as I was down with fever. Yep we can work together to fix it. Already completed Mexico. Will take up African teams whichever is left. Also wait for pacific games before updating pacific teams. That way it won't be required to change for a longer period. And big teams are mess!! I tried to start with Australia and then decided to take it up later. It needs a whole reformatting. Same for other fee countries as well. Thought of taking those after all these are created. Your thoughts please. mitratanmoy 20:25, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi. Looks like you have made some mistakes on this article. For example stats for Jess Watkin are incorrect. Could you check through to ensure that the stats are all correct as shown in the three references above the table, and that the 'as of' date is correct and the years are updated to 2019 where appropriate. Keep up the good work though! Bs1jac ( talk) 22:45, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
@ Bs1jac.Yep. its not completed yet. The list is so big, I made an intermediate save so that I don't lose the changes mistakenly. Will complete today. And thanks for reviewing and correcting those errors I keep on making. mitratanmoy 03:25, 26 June 2019 (UTC)@
@ Bs1jac.I will not be able to do things today. So tomorrow I will start with whatever team is lefy other than Germany. Once the tri-nations series is complete, I will take up Germany. In the meantime, will focus on existing large teams as well as associate nations like Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands etc to update. It will be good if you could take up Pakistan team. mitratanmoy 15:35, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi there. The scorecards are all now available for the Pacific Games Women's matches if you would like to update the player lists for Fiji, Samoa, PNG and Vanuatu. The only thing that is missing is the abandoned game from day 1 (8 July) between Fiji and Vanuatu in which a few overs were bowled. The game was replayed but the original scorecard is not available and I wonder if these stats will never be recorded. Thanks Bs1jac ( talk) 19:55, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks again for working on these. Just a couple of things to note before you do the rest. Firstly, it was previously agreed that there would be no redlinks on these large lists (i.e. if the player does not have an article, don't apply a link tag). Secondly, the players here should be in alphabetical order by surname, and not in cap order. See the men's lists or the women's Test and ODI lists as examples. I have fixed some countries but not all. Bs1jac ( talk) 21:22, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
Just to clarify... i am talking about the combined list woth all teams on (not the individual team list articles). Bs1jac ( talk) 23:01, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi. Can I please ask that you stop changing the cricket player lists from their usual sorting format? I noticed that for WI T20I you changed all of the 'sort' tags in all columns to 'nts' tags which is not necessary (other than for averages) and leads to confusion with different lists. I saw that you made the names sortable, which is great (thanks!), but the rest was already fine and now is different to almost all of the other lists. Thanks. Bs1jac ( talk) 21:33, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Sorry I now realise that in the WI T20 list you didn't change tags to nts. In this case there were no sort tags in most of the columns at all and you added nts rather than sort. While I think adding sort tags rather than nts tags would have been better and more consistent with other lists, it is of course better than no sorting at all! If you could try to be consistent with other lists going forward though, and definitely not change the tags in existing lists, that would be great. Bs1jac ( talk) 21:45, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Thanks! Thats good stuff. In general I haven often found the India lists to be 'out of sync' with the others so not the best example. And yes also some if the older lists (for full members) have lacked any sortable tags, I just haven't bothered to go through and add them! Bs1jac ( talk) 19:14, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Would you mind having a go at sorting out List of Ireland women ODI cricketers when you have a chance? It's not a big list but needs a bit of formatting. Would be a useful fix if you can. Bs1jac ( talk) 20:36, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi Mitratanmoy, I don't know if you're aware of the Women's cricket task force, but whether you are or not, you've been doing a hell of a good job on a number of the women's lists. Keep up the good work! Harrias talk 09:58, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi there. If you are looking for a project to do, I noticed that the list of Australia and New Zealand women Test cricketers could really do with a big improvement. Neither has any stats, just a list of players and it would be brilliant if you could bring these in line with the others. Luckily there are hardly any women's Tests played these days so you can take your time in Sandbox without new matches coming along, and once updated the lists are easy to maintain. Only if you are interested of course. PS: Did you join the women's cricket task force? Sometimes helps with ideas of things to investigate and work on. You've certainly done a lot to help the project already! Bs1jac ( talk) 11:24, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi there. Just to let you know that I have now completed the player lists for the men's teams. There were a few names with different formats to CricHQ, mostly from Brazil, and I have updated accordingly. I have also updated the overall player list page. Could you add the top run scorers and wicket takers, and other records as usual, to the various team pages? And update those bits on the Mexico team page? Nothing yet for the women's event. Thanks! Bs1jac ( talk) 18:07, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi Bs1jac , Taking up Namibia-Scotland. Not sure about afternoon. If time permits will take up UAE-Jersey. mitratanmoy 06:27, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi again, last one from me for today I promise! I don't know if you have been following this event, but I wanted to raise with you the fact that there is confusion in CI about whether Sri Lanka's matches count as WT20Is as they have sent an under 23 team (they shouldn't count as far I as know). CI originally set them as WT20Is and they are seeking clarification from the ICC. At the moment, the match today between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is not marked as WT20I, no players are listed as making a debut (even though several would been doing so), and the list of players by WT20I caps has not added new players for SL. However, the player stats have all updated for the time being as if the match was a WT20I. Therefore can I suggest that we don't try to update any players lists or team pages for the team's in the women's event until it has become clearer? I updated Maldives and Nepal yesterday and that's fine because there is no doubt about the status of that match. A bit messy! Bs1jac ( talk) 20:27, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
Hi. Nice work with the list! Just spotted that ref#33 (Most matches played in career) links to the men's page on Cricinfo. Not sure what the correct URL should be. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:17, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi there. Thanks for the work you have bene doing. Can I point out though that you shouldn't be updating player lists before the source has updated. You updated the German women's T20I list today 10 minutes before the scorecard and stats had been loaded (and I think similar yesterday); scorecards from other sources should not be used to calculate changes in stats. For example there is currently incorrect numbers for some of the bowling compared to Cricinfo (I know this is because CI have made a temporary mistake, but still we need to use the referenced source only). Thanks. Bs1jac ( talk) 15:08, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
