You have been blockedindefinitely from editing certain
namespaces ((Article)) for failing to follow our guidance for paid editors; there's not much point in making an edit request and then making the edit yourself, as at
Carla Anderson Hills.
@
Justlettersandnumbers: Hi, I'm not sure why I was blocked here so I'd like to request some clarification? Based on my research, I thought that I was required to write out an edit request in the talk page of the article to explain my reasoning before making the actual change myself--I apologize if I misunderstood the process. I understand that I have a conflict of interest, which I have disclosed as required. However, I don't believe this edit falls under "paid editing" because the edit I'm making is correcting a statement that is objectively untrue. Hills & Co no longer exists as a firm--it's merged with ASG and become part of that firm, so it's factually untrue that Carla Hills still "currently works" at Hills & Co. She works at Albright Stonebridge Group. I don't think this can be considered "paid editing" because I've openly disclosed my affiliation and the change I made isn't a PR or marketing statement, it's an objective correction of a fact. I can provide alternate sources for this if you need further proof.

I saw your disclosure, for which thank you! If you're an employee of
Albright Stonebridge Group and are making mainspace edits that promote its interests here then you have indeed misunderstood our guidance for
WP:COI/
WP:PAID editors. You've shown no interest in contributing usefully to the encyclopaedia, so I've limited your ability to edit in mainspace (articles). You are still able to make edit requests on the talk-pages of those articles. Once you've made a request you can sit back and wait – there are hundreds waiting to be answered, some of them very complex. Tip: the shorter and simpler you make your request, the better its chances of being acted on – as long as you've cited suitable
independent reliable sources, of course.

Hi, thank you for clarifying the guidelines, I appreciate it! I will submit an edit request on the talk page with external sources to verify the validity of the request.
