In one case, the link was placed on the article for
Financial Planning Association which unless its related to the organization is not permitted.
Second, the link in general would not be permitted. Your page is a paid listing service. WP is not here to help advertise financial advisor services. I would review the [[WP:EL|external link guidelines]. You link fails
4. Links mainly intended to promote a website.
5.Links to web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services
14.Lists of links to manufacturers, suppliers or customers
The purpose of Wikipedia is to be an encyclopedia. It requires content. This link is not content, but is a paid listing site. You cannot demonstrate to me that any of the advisors that have paid you offer quality advice, have a strong track record or have the appropriate background for any particular person who would click on it. If this were an independently compiled listing of advisor track records, assets under management or independently recognized experts from a
reliable source it would be one thing. But it is not. Their only qualification is that they paid you a fee.
In addition, what should I say to the next person who adds a similar site and the next person after that? I certainly can't exclude one if we have explicitly allowed another. Let this go long enough and you have a
linkfarm, which is certainly undesirable. I am not here to be judge and jury as to why one person's directory site is better than another's. That's why we have
guidelines on what is permissible and what is not.
What I suggest to you is the
open directory. The rules do allow for a single link to the directory which contains a multitude of listings. You can add your site there. You are certainly welcome to pursue
dispute resolution that's up to you. You may find a sympathetic ear, you may not.
