Hi Lukep913,
I noticed you replied to some feedback from the new Feedback Dashboard feature – you might be interested in the task force Steven Walling and I just created for this purpose: Wikipedia:Feedback Dashboard. Thanks for diving in on your own and helping the newbies, and I hope you'll sign up! Maryana (WMF) ( talk) 00:17, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History about this page...people cannot edit it fine...but there is a big mistake! the page says on the right:
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." —Carlos Santana
...as in the references the quote is from George Santayana not Carlos Santana the rock dude a guy posted it on the discussion page the 7th of november but still no reply! and is the "history" page of wiki... how is it possibile to gain attention on matters as such? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niccolo.beduschi ( talk • contribs) 02:47, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Sigh. I am a smart person. WiKi is foreign language to me. I tried to follow steps for leaving "talkback" memo. Too complicated for me to follow. Sorry. Hope this accomplishes same task, albeit differently. (And, conveys new info!) Oops, but the other one lets me delete it. This one may not? Workaround? Also, is there a Wiki-edit Glossary? (albeit lengthy). e.g., I presume I know what you mean by "revert" - But, that's an intuitive guess. It would be better to have ability to verify my assumption. KnowLimits ( talk) 13:21, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
I was wondering, should we start a Trivia Section in the College Gameday article? I know you deleted the section about Lee Corso's "expletive" incident, but there are other significant events that happened in College Gameday throughout the time. So it should be wise to start a new section in the article. Bentoman ( talk) 05:01, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
I am puzzled by this edit which appears to be signed by you but which appears to have been posted by another. Was it your intent to award that editor a barnstar? Thanks. Edison ( talk) 18:46, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
Hello Lukep913, since you are highly active on the account creation interface, I have enabled accountcreator on your account. This will enable you to ignore the normal limit on daily account creations and other checks. Please take note of the following points:
{{
Accountcreator topicon}}
top icon or the {{
User wikipedia/accountcreator}}
userbox on your user page.Luke, please see this request and my comments there. I realise this was your first 'flagged user' request but you handled it incorrectly. The requested username was free on enwiki (and on all wikis) and it was the conflicting username that had accounts at enwiki and mlwiki (both of which were inactive, therefore the account creation could proceed). You also sent a custom close to the user (which you did not sign with your Wikipedia username as you should have) and custom closing is not the standard procedure in these situations.
I would urge you to please re-read the
Account Creation Guide, especially the section on similar account names (4.1) before you handle any other 'flagged user' requests. It is very important. Also remember that you should always always sign your custom closes with your name and if you ever need help or are unsure how to handle a request, you can always click on the "Chat" link at the top of the interface to ask advice from other ACC users, or leave it for somebody else. Please make sure you understand where you went wrong with all the points I've mentioned above and you can ask me if you're not sure. Regards.

I need some help with templates. I'm using the template {{ birth year and age}} because the subject's exact birth date is unknown. I need to put in the person's death, which was on December 8th. I tried using the {{ Death date and age}}, however I need to add the exact birthday. Is there a way to put the death without the exact birth date? -- Luke (Talk) 21:09, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
{{

? I've never used it, but its documentation leads me to think that it will do what you want. —

seven ten days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See

Hello Lukep913. I am just letting you know that I deleted Joliesse, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. PhantomSteve/ talk| contribs\ 04:03, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to the New York Knicks task force! We are a group of (mainly) Knicks fans who help to improve coverage related to the New York Knicks on Wikipedia.
Looking for somewhere to start? Here is a few suggestions.

A tag has been placed on BWiser/CC Article requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, image description page, image talk page, mediawiki page, mediawiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, or user talk page from the article space.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please keep in mind that violations of WP:MADEUP do not qualify as hoaxes for the sake of the G3 speedy deletion criteria. There has never been any consensus for the speedy deletion of stuff that kids invent on the spur of the moment. Please use proposed deletion on such occurrences. Thank you. -- Blanchardb - Me• MyEars• MyMouth- timed 03:33, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the official welcome Luke. I've been a registered user on Wikipedia since 2007 but I rarely edit pages or participate in talk pages. That being said, it might explain my lack of proper formatting techniques. Thank you for the tips, and the cookies!
Hi, any articles which have been featured on In the News are ineligible to appear in DYK. There was nothing wrong with your nomination, it was just that the article was ineligible. Miyagawa (talk) 20:29, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
I've formatted the WikiProject Cleanup page to include members for those that are interested in joining, similar to how other projects have members. Since you've contributed relatively recently to the project's list page, I formally extend this invitation to join WikiProject Cleanup! I've also created a userbox template for members to use on their user pages. Thank you for your contributions to help improve Wikipedia! Northamerica1000 (talk) 08:35, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Hey. Just a note that to comply with the CC-BY 2.0 license that the image on your user page is licensed by, I am pretty sure that you must link to the image itself to comply, or provide attribution on your user page. Cheers! Ramaksoud2000 ( Did I make a mistake?) 02:29, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Don't forget to add yourself to the Host page if you haven't already. What's next? Inviting hosts and reporting your invitation information.

Hi. Thank you for your help with the vital work of patrolling new pages. I noticed that you are not marking some of the pages you've reviewed as
patrolled. Please do remember to click the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page if you have performed the
standard patrolling tasks. Where appropriate, doing so saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks again for volunteering your time at the
new pages patrol project. →
