Actually the reason why I removed "superstar" is because there is a consensus in Tamil actor articles that titles cannot be used as other names. Therefore, Superstar, Ilayathalapathi, Ultimate Star, etc. cannot be placed there because they are titles, not names. For example, if one is a doctor, their other name cannot be as "doctor." In the Rajinikanth page, the fact that he is credited as Superstar is already covered in the paragraphs.
As for Chennai being his residence, I don't remember reverting anything like that. Of course he does live in Chennai. My apologies if I reverted it by accident. EelamStyleZ ( talk) 22:36, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Keyan, before adding tamil wiki links to english wiki articles, check if the article actually exists in tamil wikipedia and add the correct title. right now you are introducing wrong links while adding tamil wiki links. please be careful hereafter.-- Sodabottle ( talk) 16:54, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
To Sodabottle,
Hi. I still could not fully go through what you actually mean. before adding tamil wiki links to english wiki articles, check if the article actually exists in tamil wikipedia and add the correct title. right now you are introducing wrong links while adding tamil wiki links.

Just a quick tip: on the English Wikipedia, punctuation always comes before any reference. For example, the following placement is correct:
Text.<ref>footnote</ref>
And the following would be incorrect:
Text<ref>footnote</ref>.
I only mention it because your recent edit to Rajinikanth changed the punctuation from correct placement to incorrect placement. AtticusX ( talk) 09:18, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
I have rewritten the lead paras in MGR. Take a look. chakpak, incredible people and tamil spider are not reliable sources (sites like these usually copy things from wikipedia, so it becomes circular referencing). I have not removed the content, as what you have written are factually accurate, but don't use these sources hereafter.
Also the lead is just a summary of what comes in the article. So if you want to improve the article, i suggest you begin with the contents and then move on to the lead.-- Sodabottle ( talk) 12:22, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Just out of curiosity, what does "fx" stand for when you put it in your edit summaries? It's not an abbreviation I am familiar with, and it doesn't appear in the Wikipedia:Edit summary legend. AtticusX ( talk) 08:59, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
After the prior block of your IP you have now started uploading copyright violations to Commons and using those files here. If you continue to do this disruption, you will be blocked again, this time for a longer duration. — Spaceman Spiff 11:32, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
In addition to requesting copyright review of your images on Commons, I have listed File:Devar-and-kamal.jpg and File:Maestro Raja.jpg for copyright review on Wikipedia. The listings are side by side and begin here. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:36, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

This is very important: you must stop representing images as free when you cannot prove that they are. You indicate that the image File:Illayaraja with President Abdul Kalam.jpg is "public domain". There is no reason to believe that this is true; it is published on the website from which you took it with the following notation: "All rights reserved". (It's doubtful that the copyright belongs to that individual anyway, but, presuming it did, he clearly has not released it into public domain.)
I realize that you think articles are improved by the addition of images. We all do. But unfortunately we can't include images unless they really are free (and we can prove it) or unless they met the allowances of non-free content. It is not enough to say that the purpose of the use is to add a "Profile picture of person." You have to explain what it is about the image that makes it usable under our policies. We very seldom accept non-free images of living people; an exception is made "for some retired or disbanded groups, or retired individuals whose notability rests in large part on their earlier visual appearance, a new picture may not serve the same purpose as an image taken during their career, in which case the use would be acceptable." But even when these exceptions apply, our policy requires that non-free images be kept to a minimum: "Multiple items of non-free content are not used if one item can convey equivalent significant information." If you wish to use more than one non-free image in an article, you need not only to explain how the image meets the policy and why, specifically, more than one non-free image is necessary to convey significant, encyclopedic information. Non-free images cannot be used decoratively only. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:21, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article
Sivaji Ganesan, please cite a
reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of

Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the

Two points: 1) Don't add different tamil transcriptions different from the english lettering in the article. for e.g. next to c. n. annadurai. don't add the tamil text for "perarignar anna". The tamil transcription exists for educating the reader how the english word is written in the native script. adding two different things will confuse the user 2) while adding honorifics like "kalaignar" and "anna" make sure they are properly explained in the article text like "he is popularly known as anna", "he is called by his supporters as "kalaignar". Because while we use honorifics/titles we need to make clear what they are and not part of the name.
Also be careful while adding anything not universally accepted. eg kalaignar or puratch thalaivi. While "periyar" and "anna" are universally accepted titles, these two are not. They will lead to edit wars from someone for the other party trying to outdo others. We have had instances where people have added "manbumigu doctor kalaignar" etc. So be extra careful while handling honorifics.-- Sodabottle ( talk) 04:25, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I see that you've been doing many good faith edits in the Rajinikanth and Enthiran pages, but I'm kindly requesting you to refrain from adding Enthiran salary details on the intro section of Rajinikanth. It is already written and sourced in another part of the article and his salary in Enthiran was not significant to his career unlike his salary for Sivaji, which made him the second-highest paid actor in Asia. Thanks. EelamStyleZ ( talk) 19:13, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Hello, if you wish to add a non-free image rationale in a case like this, it would be much more helpful if you didn't use meaningless boilerplate legalese, but actually explain what purpose this particular image is to be used for in this particular article. What is it meant to illustrate? This would be very important to know so I can decide whether to file it at FFD or not. Thank you, – Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:10, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Well unfortunately I can't give any kind of protection to any articles because I don't have the authority to do so - I'm not an admin. If you think an article needs protection from unregistered editors, then you would have to request that here. In the meantime, we'll just have to settle with manually taking out the bad edits ourselves. :) EelamStyleZ ( talk) 04:19, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Hm, that video has Rajini's brother clearly stating 1950. Looks like Wikipedia has got it wrong all these days. Do you have any better source that mentions Rajini's birth date as 12-12-1950, such as Times of India, Behindwoods, Sify, etc.? YouTube video cannot be used as a source. EelamStyleZ ( talk) 21:26, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
The image of Rajini you're using is dark and a bit too large. Why do you insist on using that one when there are much better shots of him at Wikimedia Commons? EelamStyleZ ( talk) 13:05, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi frnd I was about to ask the same. I see lot of reverts and edits in the article. Like you said its not good for a recently listed GA. Eelamstylez is one veteran editor but he himself adds few stuff and removes it after few days. He has also removed few stuff which I added to the popularity section without ever consulting me even after that was properly sourced. -- Thalapathi( Ping back) 04:45, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

User:Keyan20, I did notice that you have mentioned the population of Tamils in India as 7.21 c in Tamil diaspora. But I guess it's the total population of Tamil Nadu, which also includes non-tamils. It's obvious that, Tamils also live in other parts of India. Bangalore alone had 1.7 million Tamils in 2001. The census report denotes the total population of the state and not Tamils. -- Thalapathi (Ping Back) 06:21, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
I have requested for page protection. I too observed that the IP was vandalising the page for the past couple of days. Let's wait! -- Thalapathi (Ping Back) 12:27, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
For all images on the site "Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify these images, providing the site is attributed and a direct link running to the source on their site is provided". So there won't be any problems with copyright. I've tried but it's very difficult to crop the picture leaving the logo. In that case the image becomes too small. -- Thalapathi (Ping Back) 11:35, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
This was a constructive edit - excess POV and advertising is noticed in the article Tamil cinema when compared to other regional cinema articles of India. In other regional industries, excessive POV was forcefully removed by the administrators. List of actors was not allowed to be listed in Telugu cinema article and how can they allow this here???. You edit and include this in Telugu cinema article, then I will not edit. NOTE: For tamil cinema??? one law and for telugu cinema and kannada??? cinema other law??? what do u think u can include non sense like business model??? Yours is vandalism - the edits are being reverted by a BOT - now i ahve reported false positive and yours will become vandalism. You edit and include this below info in Telugu cinema article, until then I will not allow POV in Tamil cinema
