Welcome!

Hello, KalebRasmussen, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was User:KalebRasmussen/sandbox, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! De Novo Band

I'm trying to complete the wikipedia page for De Novo and publish it publicly. Have I done anything wrong in that article? Can someone help me? KalebRasmussen ( talk) 15:25, 15 December 2020 (UTC) reply

Edit Request

Please create a page for the band De Novo. They are located in Salt Lake City and are seeking for better recognition as a band. Here is an example page of what I had in mind. But I want it to be unbiased, so use the websites as references to pull the exact information you need.

DeNovo Band

"De Novo is a corporate and family-friendly cover band." [1]

Their Goal

Located in the Greater Salt Lake City Area, De Novo travels to Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and Idaho. De Novo hopes to provide productive entertainment for rock music lovers of all ages and backgrounds. Through using their talents and passion, the De Novo band members bring energy and passion to the crowd wherever they perform. "We are a turnkey entertainment group with our own instruments and PA system. All you have to do is provide the venue and power and we do the rest!" [1]

Background

The individual members of De Novo have various backgrounds, from attorneys and executives to technology consultants and product managers. [1] The band started in 2017 with several core band members jamming out to classic rock music. Since then some of the band members have changed, but the goal, method, and result has only grown better. Tracy Cowdell is the lead vocalist, Chad Woolley plays bass guitar, James Greenlaw plays guitar, Scott Hunter plays guitar and sings backup vocals, Craig Howe plays keyboard and sings backup vocals, and the drums are played by John Greenlaw! [2] The band plays once a week and has performed over 100 times. [3]

Cover Selection Favorites

"Give me life" is an original song by De Novo.

"Runaway Train" by Soul Asylum in 1993. [4]

"Fulsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash in 1955. [5]

"Every Rose Has It's Thorn" by Poison. [6]

In The News

De Novo performed at Geezerfest 2020 in Orem, Utah. (See pictures of lead singer Tracy Cowdell)

Hi @ KalebRasmussen: thanks for using the request edit template. This template is for people who have a conflict of interest with the subject of the article. Since this is still a draft, you don't need to use this template. If you have any questions, please post them on the articles for creation help desk or the Wikipedia help desk.
Looking at the proposal, I think this will need some work before it can be published on Wikipedia. Please read WP:BAND and ensure the article meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Also, the article must contain reliable sources and the band's website and other Wikipedia pages are not considered reliable. Try looking for coverage of the band in a Google News search or the websites listed at WP:A/S. Thanks and happy editing! Z1720 ( talk) 20:23, 30 December 2020 (UTC) reply
