Hey Juxlos. I saw you started creating a results template. Just an FYI that these are gradually being deleted, as it's preferable to keep the results on an article – largely as (a) templates shouldn't be used for tables only used once (which usually becomes the case within a few years) and (b) template space has much fewer watchers and is prone to vandalism.
What you can do is to create the results table directly in an article, then use the {{#section-h:2019 Foolandian presidential election|Results}} function to transpose it to another article (see an example at
Politics of Lithuania#Political parties and elections, where all three tables are transposed from the election articles). Cheers,

Thanks for the FYI - I'll transfer it to the article once the results get announced eventually.

Election maps
Hi. Ignoring our argument about
Endorsements in the 2019 Indonesian presidential election :-), where did you get the mapping info for the very good File:Electoral_Districts_Indonesia_DPR_2019.svg that you made? I've been looking for a map of kabupaten in Java to illustrate the
1957 Indonesian local elections article with maps of where the various parties won the largest share, but I can't find any on Wikipedia. It looks as if the 1957 electoral district borders were the same as the 2019 borders, but with a few districts split into smaller parts, so if it's OK, I was going to steal and adit part of your map... Regards Davidelit (Talk) 07:56, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
Well, I started out with a geoJSON for the Kabupaten and made it into a SVG, then semi-manually colored the regencies using a script. To be honest - I sort of forgot how exactly I did it.
Individual kabupaten are individual shapes in the map so you can probably use a SVG editor for that purpose though.

Thanks. Soundly like a activity for my holiday in this quiet Indonesian village... Regards Davidelit (Talk) 08:08, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
OK so a lot of your edits and contributions to wikipedia are good and wanted
- there is a very serious question as to the viability of an article like the endorsements -
you need to show at least 2 other countries where such articles for a start - if you cannot - why Indonesia?
regardless of the assertiveness of your moving the prod - it is now to you to justify such a monolithic item - cultural hangups about linking everything in sight?
WP:AGF means rather than reverting a prod - you need to have very good handle on the policies and precedents to have such an item on wikipedia, like a prepared statement as to why it should not be prodded - a revert without any form of discussion is tantamount to bad faith - as a reason for a prod is that the article is out of the scope of
WP:ABOUT and
WP:NOT. I look forward to a detailed explanation.

@
JarrahTree: The talk page message I sent (probably should've made it obvious in edit summary) is a search for such articles - cursory glance, there's the US, Canada, Italy, UK, Malaysia, Czech Republic. ProD'd article is entirely sourced (per item).

you have included almost every public figure in the country - that is not what other items are about - they are limited in range and scope - they a very limited to a narrow range of actors. Your have taken the idea to a very absurd extent - you do not need the volume - and it is peppered with absurd amounts of red links as well. Sorry, not a good call - I support the prod or afd unless you are able to reduce the volume - it is not what
WP:ABOUTJarrahTree 07:42, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
I understand, but I maintain my stance that the article's existence is fine as is. If it is going to be brought to AfD, then so be it.

Ok so you put far too much into it - try a bit of humility for once - prune it to save it - it is too big and over-reaching
JarrahTree 07:48, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
references are a total missing the point - it is too big, too far reaching and large mount of red links glow out like an exploding kerosene lamp in a dark kampung - try to lower you
WP:OWN of it - store the pruned parts somewhere else for something else and reduce it to the size and extent of the malaysian item and you are actually getting somewhere.
JarrahTree 07:50, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
still missing the point - the red links is one thing - the other endorsements pages on wikipedia do not have
1.5 Retired military and police personnel
1.5.1 Retired Indonesian Army personnel
1.5.2 Retired Indonesian Navy personnel
1.5.3 Retired Indonesian Air Force personnel
1.5.4 Retired Indonesian National Police personnel
1.6 Businesspeople
1.7 Celebrities
1.8 Religious figures
1.9 Newspapers, television channels, and other media
the sense of what the other articles actually have is political figures higher up the food chain - - really they might seem like influencers in Indonesian society - but it is still far too big and over-reaching in an article of its sort.
JarrahTree 08:00, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
I have no idea where to draw the line between "important enough for this article" and "not important enough" here. Clearly SBY and Megawati are in, but should
Ridwan Kamil?
F.X. Hadi Rudyatmo?
Via Vallen?
Ruhut Sitompul? Difficult to make a judgement call on notability/influence for each one of them. I recommend @
Flix11: participate in the discussion as well considering his additions to the article.

The line is very clearly indicated in the Malaysian example - keep it short and sweet. It is not a line of preference in a Yogya or Solo funeral cortege where every person from every part of everything is mentioned and listed - a reasonable short list with blue links is all that is really needed.
I am fully aware of the intense precoccupation if not awareness many Javanese (for instance) have for heirarchy and all the parts of the food chain related to it - and acknowledgement of it - it was my job over 20 years ago to observe the cultural trappings - whether it was in language or other cultural expressions. I know the baggage that goes with lists and the order of things - it was a phenomenon of the new order to have lists before anything else. In the case of this contemporary item - the extra bits of retired military, celebrities and business people is really over-doing it.
