I started an article about Jim Lord. He was in the Minnesota State Senate and was Minnesota State Treasurer. His father was retired US district judge Miles Lord. Please take a look at it and make any improvements. Thnaks- RFD ( talk) 14:43, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
If you are interested in the State Treasurers of Minnesota (and who wouldn't be?), check out Val Bjornson. He was a fascinating man. Could anyone imagine Norm Coleman and Al Franken traveling Minnesota together in the same car? Bjornson and H.H. Humphrey did, as rivals for the same office half a century earlier. In case you're wondering why I reverted your edit on your own talk page and then immediately reverted my own edit, my original revert was a mistake. I have your talk page on my watchlist for some odd reason, and I clicked the wrong button. Sorry! Tim meh 00:55, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Hello! Your submission of
Val Bjornson at the

Hello, Jonathunder! This is just a note thanking you for participating in my
recent Request for Adminship, which passed with a total of 93 support !votes, 1 oppose and 3 editors remaining neutral. While frankly overwhelmed by the level of support, I humbly thank the community for the trust it has placed in me, and vow to use the tools judiciously and without malice. |
Great job with getting high quality images for the National Register of Historic Places listings in Winona County, Minnesota (especially Winona)! I came to upload what I had just to see that you had uploaded nearly the entire list. None of my images appear to be taken from that one remaining historic district. I did take about 4 more pictures of the same buildings. They were equal or poorer except for the one picture that I uploaded. I'd rather not spend the time to upload if they're equal to something existing. Have a Happy Holidays, and I wish you a Merry Christmas if you're a Christian. I saw your comments on the Red River Trails page (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_River_Trails) and offer this website at http://www.plainsfolk.com/songs/song4.htm with information researched on the song. I contend based on this research that the song DOES have roots in my area. I write a local history blog about Pembina (ND) and St. Vincent (MN), twin towns on the Red River of the North at http://56755.blogspot.com and the history of that area is a passion of mine...I hope you'll consider adding that in regarding the song on that page, and any page that may be about the song itself...

I had into a problem with the article Tobias Mealey who served in both houses of the Minnesota State Legislature. The original article was titled Tobias Hogan and it needed citations. I check the Minnesota Legislature about past legislators and found no Tobias Hogan. Tobias Mealey was listed for that time frame so I change it to Tobias Mealey. Senator Mealey and his wife owned a house in Minnesota that is historic. Would you please look at the article? Tobias Mealey may had been one of the important Minnesota legislators in the 19th century. Thank you- RFD ( talk) 18:58, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the time to weigh in on my RfA. It was successful, in that the community's wish not to grant me the tools at this time was honored. I'm taking all the comments as constructive feedback and hope to become more valuable to the project as a result; I've also discovered several new areas in which to work. Because debating the merits of a candidate can be taxing on the heart and brain, I offer this kitten as a low-allergen, low-stress token of my appreciation. -- otherl left 13:03, 8 February 2010 (UTC) |

Oh and the reason I included the vegemite link in the fruit-bacon article is because "Rationed in Australia during World War II, Vegemite was included in Australian Army rations and by the late 1940s was used in nine out of ten Australian homes." So I thought it was an interesting connection. ChildofMidnight ( talk) 04:14, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

I feel pretty strongly that the photo at the top of the article is extremely unflattering of her. I appreciate the incorporation of my image contributions in the body of the article, but I really don't feel like the one at the top is the best choice. Hi Jonathunder. I thought your post at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Mass changes.2C marijuana.2Fcannabis was both on point and very funny. I think that I know what distracted you towards the end of your edit. Was it this?
I thought about adding this pic to that thread but, sometimes, this kind of humor is not appreciated on that page. I hope you enjoy these. Cheers and happy editing. MarnetteD | Talk 20:54, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Removing even part of a talk page contribution is far from being mere "refactoring". Removing substantially all of a contribution completely denies the responses their context. People do not continue to "own" their comments after hitting "save", especially when others have already responded to them. - Rrius ( talk) 03:49, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi Jonathunder,
I was wondering if you had any help or suggestions for moving
Wkaardal's
Mill City Museum page from draft to live? I am watching it with interest and see that it has been
rejected by a Wikipedia admin opting instead to continue having Mill City Museum on the
Washburn A Mill page. Would it be considered to close to home (working for MHS) if I worked on it to get it published?

I found out the pictures at the GMA awards were taken by Aaron Crisler/Gospel Music Association. I know at least one image was shown on live TV, and that qualifies as fair use, and can be shown here. However, I have no clue about the other 8. Should I contact both the photographer and GMA? Sorry if I am being a nuisance. Toa Nidhiki 05 00:42, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey Jonathunder,
Regarding your choice of image on the Helen Thomas page; while I'd agree it was wise to replace the old image with a more recent one, I think the image you've chosen is uniquely unflattering. Is it possible we could find a replacement?
Thanks, NickCT ( talk) 19:36, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the mail.
No, not really anything to do with that, although being at the time generally jaded there were a couple of things about the conversation that didn't make me any happier, but absolutely nothing you did or said. On reflection, and after reading a few messages I got, I decided retiring was a bit of an over the top, silly reaction, so I'm going to just cut back a bit on the time I spend here instead, and see how that goes. After all, where would be the fun in anonymity if we couldn't stomp off in a silly tantrum, then come back after some sleep feeling we made some sort of point? :-) You be well, too...
