Hello, I'm
Blaze Wolf. I noticed that you recently removed content from
Joel Gallen without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate
edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your
sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on
my talk page. Thanks. ―

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to
Joel Gallen, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the
edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been
reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your
sandbox for that. Please refrain from editing the article and read
WP:COI. ―

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at
Joel Gallen, you may be
blocked from editing. You have been told to stop editing your article already per
WP:COI and continue to do so. ―

Hi Joeltenthplanet! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of
Joel Gallen several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the
edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Joel Gallen, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Tacyarg ( talk) 05:38, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
Hello, Joeltenthplanet. We
welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things
you have written about on the page
Joel Gallen, you may have a
conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the
conflict of interest guideline and
FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tacyarg ( talk) 23:34, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
I've issued a partial block. You have been blocked from editing the Joel Gallen page. Talk:Joel Gallen is not affected by the partial block and remains open to you to raise issues, suggest improvements etc. Mjroots ( talk) 20:07, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
You appear to have a common but fundamental misunderstanding of what Wikipedia is and is not: see WP:N. The Joel Gallen page is not your page. It is an encyclopedic article about you. It does not belong to you and you have (almost) no control over it. Because you have an unavoidable conflict of interest, you have even less right to edit the article that does any random editor.
However, we try to be sensitive and careful about biographical information: see WP:BLP, please DO mention any problems in this regard on the article's talk page. This policy is the reason that your removal of information about a family member was acceptable. - Arch dude ( talk) 21:00, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
