Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
  4. If the article is available in Pubmed Central, you have to add the pmc parameter manually -- click on "show additional fields" in the template and you will see the "pmc" field. Please add just the number and don't include "PMC".

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. Stuart Brotman

through your recent edit to the Veretski Pass article I noticed Stu Brotman's wiki bio was deleted back in January. would have argued against it had I been aware. I saw your draft and I agree he's notable enough to be reinstated in some form. His notability is through his klezmer bass playing mainly, not whatever visiting professorships that people were apparently mad about during the deletion discussion. let me know if I can be of assistance once you've published it. I just created a new page for him but I can't yet publish it (I don't see the 'move' option in my sandbox; I'm a new-ish user). Jloukiss ( talk) 16:00, 27 June 2024 (UTC) reply
I'm going out of town to an island without internet for this long weekend here in Canada but I can take a look and (I believe) I can move it next week. In the meantime try and collect as many citations from books and articles as you can to demonstrate notability and protect it from another deletion. enjoy your time away/unplugged. I do see the 'move' option now... perhaps I made enough edits/additions. thank you! Jloukiss ( talk) 16:04, 27 June 2024 (UTC) reply
Sounds good thanks. Dan Carkner ( talk) 16:05, 27 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Stuart Brotman moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Stuart Brotman. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it has too many problems of language or grammar. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. 𝓡𝔂𝓭𝓮𝔁 16:22, 27 June 2024 (UTC) reply

A tag has been placed on Draft:Stuart Brotman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://klezcalifornia.org/acadp_listings/stuart-brotman/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. • Note - Although you did reword the article a bit, it is still closely paraphrased from the source. That's a derivative of a copyrighted work and is still considered a copyright violation. You need to write the article in your own words. -- Whpq ( talk) 21:09, 27 June 2024 (UTC) reply
