Today and Yesterday I had two articles put up for speedy deletion. The last one, "Good Germans" (see below), was put up for deletion by User Arthistorian1977 4 minutes after I created an article.
I don't have time or patience to deal with passive aggressive editors. Life is to short. I hope that if User:Arthistorian1977 tries to become an administrator, this case will be brought up by editors in his nomination. Imaginelenin ( talk) 14:55, 8 January 2018 (UTC) |
hello!
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Good Germans, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Your article was fine. Some editors are just jerks toward new editors. Some of them think only experienced editors belong creating articles. They're wrong. Ignore them. It's not a speedy deletion candidate. It's a perfectly fine article. -A lad insane (Channel 2) 15:35, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
Most of the content in the article appears to have been copied from the copyright web page https://www.opednews.com/populum/page.php?f=The-Danger-Of-Becoming-Goo-by-Michael-Weber-090326-835.html. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions. — Diannaa 🍁 ( talk) 15:52, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

On 30 January 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Arrest of Mark Kaminsky and Harvey Bennett, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that during the height of the Cold War, an American visiting Russia received a seven-year sentence for spying? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Arrest of Mark Kaminsky and Harvey Bennett. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Arrest of Mark Kaminsky and Harvey Bennett), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

The article Operation Lincoln has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Plainly non-notable; can find zero reliable, independent sources regarding this subject.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot ( talk) 09:00, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
