Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours (Australia), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conspicuous Service Cross. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dear EricSerge,
/info/en/?search=Stephen_W._Wilson
on this article, which I created (that IP is me), you can see that the next VCSAF wears a gold letter N on his NDOSM, what about creating such a graphic? I mean like for "other_device=n|", because I think we will see quite some more of these in the future... Sent this to GeckoG as well. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do it myself...
Thanks, many greetings,

Hello, EricSerge. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi! Salut! Guten tag... Thanks for partially fixing the mess created with the title of the article Awards and decorations of the Russian Federation. I don't know why it was changed to Russia and then only partially brought back to Russian Federation, but the awards are those of the Russian Federation. Either somebody is having fun, doesn't understand the difference between the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States, or this is vandalism... But the title was correct, and is now wrong. The article should either be called Orders, decorations, and medals of the Russian Federation or List of Orders, decorations, and medals of the Russian Federation. I've seen articles where you could change the coding but then somebody else had to OK the changes for them to take effect and be visible to the general population, what is the procedure to start such a protocol? This is getting stupid. Fdutil ( talk) 03:04, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
That is odd. What was the original page name, do you remember? EricSerge ( talk) 21:49, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.
The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.
The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.
For the Milhist co-ordinators. Regards, AustralianRupert ( talk) & MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 07:24, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Dear Eric, how are you? I write to you because I do not know where to post it... See:
http://www8.cao.go.jp/shokun/en/orders-of-the-rising-sun.html
As you may know, a few years back, somebody changed all six classes to one and the same ribbon. I just wonder why and if it is correct? IMO, every class has got its own ribbon, just like all other orders, or was that changed? Thank you so much, claudevsq ( talk) 16:41, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Cher Eric,
http://i.f1g.fr/media/figaro/1280x580_crop/2016/12/21/XVM1653e82e-c789-11e6-a030-cff5af09f187.jpg
J'ai aussi fini les décorations pour Lecointre et j'ai crée William C. Mayville Jr. Merci pour ton travail merveilleux!
claudevsq ( talk) 13:08, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
N.B.: J'ai lu l'article, vous avez raison.

As we approach the end of the year, the Military History project is looking to recognise editors who have made a real difference. Each year we do this by bestowing two awards: the Military Historian of the Year and the Military History Newcomer of the Year. The co-ordinators invite all project members to get involved by nominating any editor they feel merits recognition for their contributions to the project. Nominations for both awards are open between 00:01 on 2 December 2017 and 23:59 on 15 December 2017. After this, a 14-day voting period will follow commencing at 00:01 on 16 December 2017.
