Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Iron Maiden. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Do it or do not revert me. However, I don't think my edits need to be discussed anywhere. I am bold and that's what I am. Either acknowledge my edits, either do not. But my stance is clear and this article needs a lot, a lot, a lot of work.
The article looks much, much better for what I did. Look at it and tell me I am wrong. If people are unhappy - then let's discuss. But reversion is bad, bad habit and I never do it. So, man, I am pledging for loyalty and acknowledgement in the name of the future developping. I don't think I need permission or anything else in order to explain and justify an edit. I am an established and seasoned editor, not some fellow with yellow around my mouth. I know what I am doing and I consider it right. That's why I don't think I need any kind of permission. If you are not happy - then I am open to discussion. But if you come and decide to revert, just for the sake of it with such beaurocratic reasons as "We have to discuss" - I don't think so.

Request reason:
Scarian is taking personal jab against me. He is abusing his power in order to silence my opinion and is persistently reverting me on the Iron Maiden page, because of relative inexperience and relative incompetence. It is remarkable that person of his standing - an administrator - has fallen to such petty ways of resolving issues. He didn't discussed anything about Iron Maiden, just kept reverting and then suddenly when I expressed disappointment in his way of resolving issues, he decided to block me up, saying it is a personal attack. While I wasn't happy, I had no intention to attack Scarian or to cause my blocking. My version of Iron Maiden can be found on the history page, I regard it as a better and I was continuosly hindered by Scarian adn other editors. I am appealing to administrators because of Scarian's inability to see the truth and his remarkable disrespect toward my standing as an established and capable editor
Decline reason:
Block seems appropriate. Insistence on talk page discussion rather than edit warring is the norm for Wikipedia, and personal attacks are highly discouraged (calling someone inexperienced and incompetent in an unblock request is hardly likely to win a reprieve) - however one week is somewhat excessive given generally clean block log, am reducing to 48 hours. Orderinchaos 11:36, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
[1] - Please take heed of this and discuss on the article's talk page so we can gain consensus. Thanks for your understanding, friend. Scarian Call me Pat 11:00, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading Image:Airbag.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Mad Hatter, your radical re-write of the post 2000 section of the Bob Dylan article has done a valuable job in reduced an article that was threatening to become over-long and unwieldy. However, I disagree with your putting some recent Dylan events into a new section called ‘Tributes and legacy’. For example, it makes no sense to include Dylan’s exhibition of his art in Germany last year, and the accompanying catalogue, in ‘Tributes and legacy’ since clearly this was an important new development in Dylan’s career, in the same way the publication of Vol. One of Dylan’s autobiography was an important development. Also, you have lost some information I thought was valuable, which I intend to restore. To do a radical re-write of a WP:FA may be WP: bold but sometimes it is wise to discuss your ideas on Talk page. Mick gold ( talk) 09:46, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

The reason the "list" article is a redirect, is that it is entirely original research. the main article has a list already, so this would be redundant, and as no-one can be bothered to find more sources, it seems unlikely that the list would ever be large enough to need a seperate page. The alternative is the drawn out process of AfD of this content fork, which would almost certainly say merge. If you want a longer list of examples, why not find sources and expand the one we have? Thanks for uploading Image:Imagionationland movie.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Hello,
I will be replacing my comments very shortly with referenced links. This was not a matter of opinion. It merely stated the fact that Robbie outdid Gary in popularity and stardom. The documentary answers all you're concerns. Gary pretty much conceded defeat in the film and i do not believe that I did anything to challenge otherwise. If anything, it was Gary's comments I've reflected on. I will however remove the "Crap songwriter" from the paragraph as i understand why some may be upset by it.
Swearing and abusing at other users is not an acceptable means of retracing comments. This will only lead to a repetition of comments being added again and again and eventually reporting such behaviour regardless of previous posts and work.

Hi. I've reverted a few of your edits on the Blur article. The "height of fame" section header was rather inappropriate, because Blur arguably became more famous worldwide with the American-sounding Blur. Also, by adding "Backing vocals" to all of the musicians in the second sentence of the lead, you make it long and ungainly. Best to just list the main instruments they are primarily identified with; by keeping it short and sweet, we make for a more engaging lead. Remember that we are targeting the articles towards a reader who doesn't know anything about Blur. As for the 2004–2009 section, I believe a whole section needs to be devoted to how Blur have done nothing in that time. Also note WP:RECENT, which means that more recent information shouldn't be given undue coverage compared to older stuff. indopug ( talk) 16:20, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

This is not an album, it's an EP. Check the rules:
a CD single has around 10–28 minutes of music, an EP has up to 36 minutes, and an album generally has 30–80 minutes.
Verve is, give or take, 30 minutes long - whilst that could just fit in the album category, it's most comfortable in the EP category. And it only has five tracks - every other Verve album has at least ten. Lastly, Ashcroft himself referred to A Storm in Heaven as their first album ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfgyGszPZuE, 6:09).

A tag has been placed on New Adventures (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact
one of these admins to request that they
userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.

Radiohead are an English alternative rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitars, piano), Jonny Greenwood (guitars, keyboards, other instruments), Ed O'Brien (guitars, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass, synthesizers) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion). Radiohead released their first single, " Creep", in 1992. The song was initially unsuccessful, but it became a worldwide hit several months after the release of their debut album, Pablo Honey (1993). Radiohead's third album, OK Computer (1997), propelled them to greater international fame. Featuring an expansive sound and themes of modern alienation, OK Computer is often acclaimed as a landmark record of the 1990s. Radiohead's work has appeared in a large number of listener polls and critics' lists. While the band's earlier albums were influential on British rock and pop music, musicians in a wide variety of genres have been influenced by their later work. The New York Times described Radiohead as "the world's biggest art band." ( more...)

Thank you for uploading File:Imagionationland movie.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Acather96 ( talk) 19:21, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:AngelsandAirwaves2011pg(1).jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please remove the tag.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. We hope ( talk) 16:56, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on M K Hume requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. What Wiki image usage policy are you referring to in your removal of the images from the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds article? As far as I can tell, the images are not "staggering" or "bloating" anything, nor are they redundant, but rather are illustrating members and performances in the same manner as any of the GAs on musical groups that I've read. If anything, I could see wanting to trim out one or two, but not all. Colinclarksmith ( talk) 20:49, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Thought I'd repost this here in case you didn't see it on the discussion page:
Any particular reason why you keep removing some of these sourced quotes without explanation? Most notably, you keep removing a part where it says they had 4 songs done in February, and that a member of the band claiming that "Here and Now" would be "more organic sounding" and sound like "All the Right Reasons". I see no reason to remove that, it's sourced and important info regarding the new album. Even if there was some sort of problem, you should be explaining why... Sergecross73 msg me 03:00, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I've actually noticed what you're saying, and that's what leads me to be all the more confused. You've edited for a long time, and are part of a music-related Wikiproject. So you obviously know removing sourced information w/o discussion or edit summary is frowned upon. (Through your talk page, I see you were accused of doing similar actions at Velvet Revolver as well.)
But I won't lecture your further. I'm sorry that you've got a lot going on, and I wish you well as well. Best of luck with all you've got going on. Sergecross73 msg me 20:55, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
I don't think any editor likes to see their edits removed so no need to apologise on that front sir. I put a lot of work getting that article up to some sort of decent standard ( this being what is what like before) using articles like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as examples, and while I don't own it or decide what is included or removed, I felt you were a little bit vague in your reasons for removing content, which is why I reverted and asked for a discussion. You say "very unprofessional" and "crappy fan page" and you may very well be right, but how am I to know if you don't explain why?
You feel strongly about what should and should not be in the article, but really it doesn't benefit article if one person is getting their way (me included) which is the whole reason to discuss first. So, I won't revert the recent changes you made but discuss what you want to change, though really you should have discussed them first ( WP:STATUSQUO). The splitting of formation is well done, starting at Randy Castillo's funeral works well. Not a fan of the "Origins and past careers" heading but the only suggestion I have is "Early years" which may or may not work. A large amount of the content in "Search of new singer and hiatus" could be re-written to flow with the rest of the article rather than "In an interview with" every few sentences. Still don't believe that there should be a whole section with solo careers. I think it could still be trimmed (my fault for there being that much info in the first place) and inserted into the new singer and hiatus section. I personally don't see how it hampers the article and I've seen very similar sections, or mentions of other solo projects, on articles of a higher standard ( The Beatles, Sex Pistols, Silverchair, The Smashing Pumpkins). I'm assuming these kind of sections inclusion is dependant on who is editing and down to personal opinion.
In regards to the removing of content previously, there is no policy or guideline that I am aware of (maybe you do) that states what length an article should be. Sometimes an article needs to be big just to give the subject adequate coverage. If there is any content that you disagree with, ask me about it and I'll tell you my reasons for adding in the first place. You might agree or disagree but at least then we can move on from there. Hope I made some sense in this response, happy editing sir. HrZ ( talk) 14:35, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

Would you be willing to revert your change and then bring the discussion to the article's talk page so they can be discussed? I believe that there is a particularly compelling case that OK Go is as much a multi-media artistic enterprise as it is a band, and that their albums are less important to their history and output then their videos are. Sir, I advise you to stop removing information without consulting other users. Those are featured articles that you are editing. Please, try to talk with other users before making any significant change in the articles. That goes againts the spirit of this wiki. Alright? Do not make unilateral changes. This here is a collaborative project. Right? All the best for you too.
First, your "appeal to experience" is meaningless. I could simply say that even the most experience editors make mistakes, but since apparently you claim to be infallible, it will probably fall on deaf ears. But, like I said before, the
WP:STYLE says it very clear and it would be nice if check it out. "
Efforts should therefore be made to improve quality and choice of images or captions in articles rather than favoring their removal". Images are indeed an important part of any article's presentation. Before removing all of them, you might want to check the opinion of other users, because, last I checked, there are probably other users besides you. If you are really as experienced as you claim to be, you know very well that that friendly coexistence is important. And in the spirit of collaboration, making radical changes in featured articles because you think it's what "the article needs", maybe it's not a good idea. If you talk to other editors in the article's talk page, and they all agree that these changes are necessary, then I would gladly abide by the
consensus, because it would be a decision made by the comunity of editors. Other than that, it's just your opinion. And your opinion is, by definition, yours. Other people may disagree with your point of view. It happens. Until a consensus is achieved,
status quo of the page must be respected. I meant no offense, but that's the way it was always done. Look at
other featured articles. They all have images that help to illustrate the article. You still don't agree? Then do the civilized thing and start a helpful discussion at the article's talk page and let's see what other wikipedians say. Ok? Bye.

Hi, regarding your request and reply at Wikipedia:Request for permissions/Confirmed:
See the main page Wikipedia:Request for permissions. It describes the permissions and tools that can be granted to you. You will need to justify why you need each specific permission you request (for example, if you aren't involved in the account request process, you don't need 'account creator' permission, and if you mostly edit articles but don't create new ones, you don't need 'autopatrolled' permission).
Common permissions assigned to users are 'reviewer' and 'rollbacker'. I can grant you 'reviewer' privilege right now, based on your experience. This means, if you see a pending-change-protected edit in your watch list, you have the right to review and accept or reject that change. Not many articles are pending-change protected, mostly contentious biographies of living persons that attract a lot of anonymous vandalism. An article that is pending-change protected won't display the changes made by anonymous users until the change is approved by a reviewer.
Your user rights log is visible here: https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Special:Log&action=view&type=rights&page=User:Mad_Hatter
At this time, I'm uncomfortable granting you rollback rights (it's mostly for people who focus on spam and vandal fighting) until you demonstrate more experience communicating with the community. You have very few edits to talk pages. ~ Amatulić ( talk) 23:37, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

I noticed that you had listed Battlestar Galactica amongst the list of Space Opera media. Do you think we should specify the genre of that franchise as Space Opera? I've checked online for sources and it does show BSG as a space opera subgenre. Do you think we should open a discussion on the talk pages and discuss a change? Will you be available for discussions?-- Taeyebaar ( talk) 20:41, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
Are you sure about that? If I'm not mistaken I did change it to military sci-fi and it got reverted. I also think BSG does not fit the definition of military science fiction, but rather space opera. Wait before de-listing. Check the definitions and online sources before making this move. Let me know what you find. Thanks-- Taeyebaar ( talk) 06:37, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

The article David Donachie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach

I see you've created several pages starting "This is complete list of works by". Other than the issue of grammar ("This is a complete list of works by"), you need to consider the durability of your claim. The list may be complete at the time you write it, but will it be complete when it's being read? I'd advise against claiming it's complete unless the author is dead. Hi Mad Hatter. If you're still working on improving articles on science fiction subgenres (such as adding most recognizable TV shows, etc). see what you can do to improve biopunk, comedy science fiction and high-fantasy. Those articles could use some additional citations and later maybe you can add TV shows and movies to give better examples. I did all I can to improve those and will be preoccupied for some time. I've done enough editing for now and will return at a later time. If you wish you can improve them slowly. Take your time.-- Taeyebaar ( talk) 22:03, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

I have already corrected this in Anne McCaffrey with the detailed edit summary: "grammar: this list was not written by AIM, it is a list compiled by our editors based on other sources, so the previous phrase was OK". Hi Mad Hatter. Thanks for letting me know. I will check it. Yes it's very insulting when hard working editors get discredited for their work. Your recent editing history at Anne McCaffrey shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being
blocked from editing—especially if you violate the
three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three
reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
This is the third time that you have removed over 8k of content from this article without any discussion. You have each time been reverted, by two different editors. Irrespective of the timescale this is edit warring. If you continue to do this after this warning, your actions will be deliberately disruptive. I will use rollback to restore the content and will request a topic ban or block without any further warning. --

I'm just trying to upload an image for Space Western so it looks complete and we can fill it up. We can start by adding list of novellas, films and TV series on pages that don't have them. But for Maritime science fiction, I don't think we can add anything there since that article is too small. We should start a separate one List of maritime science fiction media and list it there.
I also had the idea to create List of hard science fiction media and list of soft science fiction media but let's do that much later. Right now let's focus on science fiction subgenres, then we can move on to fantasy subgenres, then we can do hard and soft science fiction pages in the ned.
You start and I'll follow later.-- Taeyebaar ( talk) 19:35, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi Mad Hatter, I'm not sure how to merge these templates. I will look into it when i have more time. When we start filling up the list of examples the Space Western article, we can add Lost in Space to the list as i have added a source for it. Let me know hat else I can help you with-- Taeyebaar ( talk) 18:57, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Soon I will start editing Space Western and then form there we can add to it and continue with other subgenres. Just give me some time before I can start editing it.-- User talk:Taeyebaar ( talk) 23:13, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
As I explained before since we can't add all the lists on the maritime science fiction article because it's too small to, I started the list. See what you can do to improve it. It needs a lot of work.-- Taeyebar 21:28, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Hi Mad Hatter. I have added archiving for your talk page. Seeing that it's too being, it's going to be tough communicating with you. Your talk page is too full, so I hope you don't mind me archiving some of it. Thanks.-- Taeyebar 00:24, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
Check the list, somebody seems to have filled it and it looks good. Just needs some more citations. Do you still think we should fit the boxes in the maritime science fiction article? I'm asking because the article is currently too small to fit any box list and so the separate list is there.
We can use this goodreads list to cite on the list http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/17615.Oceanic_marine_science_fiction-- Taeyebar 04:24, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
Hi Mad Hatter it's here Draft:List of maritime science fiction works. Contribute anytime you wish. Instead of putting tables on that stub subgenre I opted for putting a list. Anytime you want you can contribute.-- Taeyebar 23:42, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Unfortunately Mad Hatter, as in the case of maritime science fiction, some subgenre articles are too small to have tables on them and so we need to create separate lists. See what you can do to find sources for maritime science fiction and list of examples. We may need to create a separate list of Space Western works. We can use List of Space Opera media as an example.-- Taeyebar 23:44, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
And thanks.-- Taeyebar 23:45, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

I realize it's tough to get all the fact in when sources are few and far between, but we do know that Scott played guitar for the band during the 2002 Olympic concert in Salt Lake City. I'm assuming he would have done similar on those same songs in other concerts. Do you think there is a way we can mention that, just so we can show the fullest extent of each band members contributions? JesusFreak78 ( talk) 19:55, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Matthew Harffy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.matthewharffy.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DGG ( talk ) 20:50, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
Really. I'm very sorry, but I didn't know that the copyright policy is so harsh and so dis-merciful. Wikipedia is my life. I never wanted to do harm.
Space Western,
Military science fiction and
space opera: yes, I copied several paragraphs from one to the other, because I thought it'd be OK, since the information generally is the same. I also want to mend amends with @
NinjaRobotPirate: and be friends with the administrator team. Please don't block me for life. It's like a death sentence. Wikipedia is, was and will be my life. I made a translation for Bulgarian information company also covering Kazach Wikipedia and all Cyrilic languages Wikipedias and really: it's death sentence to me. If I remain blocked as I am suffering from paltry epilepsy, I don't know how I'll cope in this life. I hope that I'd be excused from my violation and I'll try not to repeat the same mistakes again. Administrators could look at the articles and probably see judgment in my work. I hope in the future to continue my work on Wiki, since as I said: Wiki is my life, I'm also on Bulgarian Wikipedia and it's like cutting my brain for Hannibal's dinner. Kidding, but it's unbelievably harsh sentence for me. I hope to mend amends with NinjaRobotPirate. I hope to work with the people here collaboratively and not to make the same mistakes again. Then, yeah: it's a death sentence for me. I tend to clear my talk pages. I'm epileptic, I forgot. I also find the comment by Schazjmd as an absolute dagger in heart, since the context of those warnings is totally out of shape; those respective articles of
Geoff Tate,
Queensryche and those three epic space genres has totally evolved and reevaluated in the other context that Wikipedia and its articles are always moving. This is like a total sword in my aching heart. I didn't expect it from a non-involved user to do this to me. I am deeply hurt and I can only say that Wikipedia is always evolving and articles are always moving like a true darwikinist can say. Really: it's killing me deeply if the permanent ban from NinjaRobotePirate, with whom I believe I've collaborated somewhere successfully before - remains, because I hope to continue doing this work until cardinally at the end of the year as I've worked for 20 years, with 3 years in computer clubs before getting a favourite Forsaken nickname of my own. I plead the other administrators to review my work, before really blocking me for life - just like that for true offenses, yes, but in the context of the good faith and many years of contributing. Regards:

I forget. I'm epileptic. I forgot I was warned. Truthfully, not to pinpoint to edits, but as far as I can remember, I moved some information from
Queensryche to
Geoff Tate or/and vice-versa and I was warned. Probably on point, but both articles were a mess back there. I was thanked later by a friendly contributor. As far as I can remember. All the stuff concerning Tate and Queensryche were totally messed up and I really had to move a lot of the stuff concerning him to his own proper article, while working and trying to clean Tate's article. I never delete or "exclusionize" just like that without trying to put the articles on shape as I have done recently on
Poison. Administrators can check me out, I was even thanked and braved as contributor by @
Binksternet: who
said my exclusionist approach trimmed it down and I did a very god job! But yeah: I moved some of the material between Quuensryche and Geoff Tate back then! It was
this when I stopped working on it! Close to its current state?! Which is not perfect always! Before that the article was crap like
that! But 3 years ago?! I forgot for this tiny argument, but the development of the articles is worthy! I'm epileptic! Really! Sorry! Now's warning? Oh, I love so much "
military
space opera
frontier" and "
science fictional space warfare" genre that I wrote most of the material on the articles by myself with trying to find good references, including the examples. Since the 3 sub-genres totally overlap with one another, yeah: I totally wrote and copied here-and-there and probably I'm guilty more of recent, but 2018 and 2019 incidents, it's me: I clean my Talk pages. Or tended to do it even before. But I clean them in the start or end of like 50 messages or somewhere there. I totally forgot I was warned, but I work for the best and in good faith. Sorry. I didn't know it's so strict, after 3-warning to get a ban for life. I'm epileptic, as stated on my personal baby page. I plead to other administrators: I've been working for 20 years and met and talked even with
Jimbo Wales; please don't block me! I'm sure I can amend myself and continue to work for the future. It'll be a dagger in my soul to cut me from this wonderful resource! Regards:

I have to cite the resource like (copied from [[<page name>]]), I believe, even if it's forms entire another article or was from that article, but it belongs in its place. I believe so. I have to cite the resources in the edit summary, I think. I admit I haven't paid attention. But: please don't block me for life. It's deep wound in my everyday life. Since losing my job in 2018, I concentrated on this, but my health in 2020, while suffering two or three prolonged illnesses from
COVID-19 and coupled with an epileptic seizure after my birthday. I totally agree to the instructions of
Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. I should've put a (Copied content from [[<page name>]]; see that page's history for attribution)? Yes? That's all I can say. Block me for life you want, but that's written in the rules. Regards:

Decline reason:
I'm really sorry to say this, but based on your statements, it sounds like we can't be sure you'd comply with WP:COPYRIGHT if we unblocked you. That places the entire project in jeopardy, so I can't risk lifting the block. I want to be clear, this is nothing personal. If you can more strongly convince us that you can reliably comply with WP:COPYRIGHT, you are welcome to make a new unblock request. For example, if your health improves. Alternatively, if you agree to refrain from any copy-and-paste, even when doing so would be okay by copyright. There may be other alternatives that would lead to us confidently unblocking you, too. I want to be clear, my decline isn't meant to be the end of the line for you here. I'd love to see you back and editing, I just can't currently see how we can do that. I hope what you take from this is either "Hey, I think Yamla is wrong and here's why" or alternatively, "Hey, I think Yamla may be right, but here's how we can work around their concerns". Request reason:
Please, don't block me for life. I'll comply fully with the WP:COPYRIGHT. Please don't hurt me like that. I agree wholeheartedly to refrain from cut-and-paste moves. Please, don't shatter my hopes. I hope to be able to contribute further. I've been blocked for already 2 weeks. Isn't it enough sentence? Please don't turn it for permanent. I'll never jeopardize the editing and I'll never make vandalism on pages. I think you're right, but such a verdict is incredibly hard and dark on me. I agree to follow the copyright and to refrain from cut-and-paste moves. Please, don't block me for life. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai ( talk)
Decline reason:
I would stress that you are not "blocked for life"; the block will be removed when the concerns that led to it have been adequately addressed. I greatly regret to say I don't think this request does that. Like Yamla I think it is very possible for the block to be lifted, but not right now. I think that your health which should be your first priority may need to improve some or you will otherwise need to show us how you will not let your health concerns interfere with your participation here. 331dot ( talk) 09:45, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
Well, if I continue to be blocked, I don't know how these concerns that led to it will be addressed. Really. I don't know how else I can contribute. I'm blocked indefinitely, which is incredibly hurtful. My health truly is my priority. I have addressed it in my profile page, that I'm epileptic since childhood and I have episodic seizures, but I've been able to contribute for years and I've been doing it since 2001, when I was unsigned User in computer club culture till 2004, when I signed back there in September 2004, I think when I was 18. I have been doing it successfully I believe in some ways, and in others I've made mistakes and I admit them if someone backfires because all edits stand and the evolution of the articles is there; Wikipedia has grown with me as a User and I was part of it. I am honored to be part of it. I've made mistakes. I admit it. But with a permanent ban I don't know how I can redeem myself. That's it. It's last request and I'll probably remain blocked, because I'm getting disheartened and greatly disappointed with each request denied, nearly a month being blocked each and every way. How I am supposed to redeem myself in editing Wikipedia, when I'm blocked for life? Oh, it's not for life, but not "right now"? Then when? Such a protracting and disappointing way to end to my editing and even to belittle my contributions through pointing out only my mistakes. Even probably take it on personal? I don't know. @ Rwood128:? @ Sadads:? I hope these guys and Users will come to the talk page? We worked on Historical fiction back in 2015? Alex Stinson? They're blocking me for life for COPYRIGHT issues on which I admit my guilt, but it's a harsh verdict to end my participation. You can see my contributions. Alex, can you say some good words for me? If you manage to see the ping? I'm librarian and I have myriad of degrees even in historical fiction and space opera. I've been contributing here since its beginning as an international source. I am honored to be part of the project. It's incredibly hurtful of the heart and soul to be blocked for life. I hope to redeem myself and the block to be lifted eventually. Whenever it is. "Not right now". Then when? Oh, it's minor edit. I know I'm hypocritical and disregarding, but this standing ban is really hurtful; it's still my talk page and my space and it's the only space I can edit; but how I can redeem myself, when I'm blocked majorly from Wikipedia for life only editing my talk page? Sorry to be rebellious, but I hope the ban will be lifted. I'll not make new requests. After this request probably gets denied, I won't make new requests and it's even hurtful since I cannot edit and blank-out my User Page. I want to. But I'cant. I'm banned for life only editing my talk page making heartfelt requests and getting denied "for the moment". I'll delete the contents here, after I'm denied request and I'll ask one of these guys to blank my User Page. It's hypocrisy. I broke in tears! I'm banned for life, Alex, Woody! Jesus! I can't believe it! Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai ( talk)

Request reason:
Ok. I understand why I have been blocked for copyright violation for which I'm sorry and I believe I've learnt from my past mistakes. It's been almost 2 months and I sincerely wholeheartedly hope that it's enough. I've learnt my lesson. I sincerely appeal to the reviewing administrator to unblock me, because I hope that my "punishment" is enough. As an established editor and pending changes reviewer, I'll never cause damage or disruption and I always try to make the best contributions accordingly with an edit summary, because I admit that I've never taken it seriously thus far, but will try to implement it in my future edits. Please! Don't block me for life! Wikipedia and Fandom Wikia were and still are part of my life! I hope to continue do it in the upcoming years for sure!

Why do you rarely use edit summaries? I understand you may be struggling but it is also very concerning that you were given a warning on June 17 and then you did the exact thing you were warned not to do 10 days later. I guess I am looking for some insight into why this happened and how we can trust you to change your behavior going forward. Please respond to these points under this post and not in the unblock request as that is getting hard to follow. Sasquatch t| c 22:13, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
I forget it's that important. Listen, I stated it on my User Page: since the seizure I hold scattering in my brain. My vocabulary is damaged and I forget such simple things on Wikipedia and never really while making my contributions paid that much attention to it. I admit I've made mistake this way, but never really paid much attention and I don't know even when it's proper to say: "75% of edits do have edit summaries! Good job!" I never paid attention these 20 years in working and I hope to continue working, although this time I'll be more proactive in this and will give good citations and will contribute with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia saying it's copied from another article. But, I forget it's that important. Is it really that demanding? I was never aware of this. Really. I'm sorry. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai ( talk)
