Protection
Hey Efe, can u assure a temporary protection for the Gaga single articles. A lot of IP bad edits are going on and its getting out of hand.
--Legolas(talktome)09:56, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks again Efe. In the meantime i would like you to look in to the Gaga album article as well. Not only IP bad edits, but a lot of new users are continupusly adding these two articles.
LoveGame (song) and
Lovegame. A protection from new or unregistered users?
--Legolas(talktome)04:42, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
I think no. Its a bad idea. Give them warnings first. If they don't stop, we block them. If IPs and users swarmed over those articles, we'll have the proper action. --

Hi, I have a question, I am currently working on the song "
Papa Don't Preach" and I couln't find any free image of Madonna performing the song. Do you think a non-free image should be included in the "Live performances" section, or is better to have the least amount of no-free content? I was going to upload a photo of Madonna during the Who's That Girl Tour, but I don't want to do all the process to find out that it don't meet the criteria. Thnaks in advance for your answer.

Nice article. I suggest you find free images. But for artists like Madonna, its hard. Unless you could justify its use (
WP:NFCC) strongly, then it should pass the reviewers. --

Hey Efe, you have promoted many singles articles to GA so I thought you would know better. What are the things the Gaga single articles are lagging could you please point out to me? Also where can i find info regarding the music structure could you please guide me? I'm developing these single pages as much as i can, but cannot seem to find suitable sources to describe the music structure or the composition.
--Legolas(talktome)10:04, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Some hurdles we met when developing music-related articles come in when we find info regarding the composition/structure and history of the recording and writing. Those are important sections, although the former is not highly required for GAs. When the background of the single is not included, the article is likely to be failed. I suggest you scour the net, interviews, magazines, etc. --
Efe (
talk)
10:18, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Mostly in interviews with the producers and writers, sometimes in reviews. For the structure, I used music sheets (musicnotes.com and 8notes.com) before, but I left it; its sort of
original research. Also, sometimes its not reliable. We'd better stick to journalistic articles. --

TK Article
Dear Efe,
After thoroughly going through the guidelines, I have made some major changes to the article. I have added more information about the inception of the company and also included references for ISO certifications. I have also changed the tone of the content. I hope it will go live now. Please let me know. (

Kindly make it Live. I will then discuss the article if anyone raises issues. I have seen similar articles on wikipedia that I will then refer others too. For example:

Dear Efe,
I need your assistance here in understanding something. What did you mean by me being the writer? Yes, I am and I had told you that. Secondly, could you please guide me why it can't go live, so I will make proper changes. I have read the links you provided and changed the text accordingly. This link also describes a company:

I did not say it can't go live. It can go now, actually. What I am afraid of is if it would, if not speedy, be passed to
WP:AFD. Certain criteria have to be met. I know you have read them, but sometimes not all companies/websites can have articles here in Wikipedia. Just try to make it live. --

Looks like
this will be the music event of the year. I have tickets :). BTW, do you think the table at the bottom is really necessary? I don't. —
R203:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
I really hate tables, personally, when the page is an article, not a list. You know, I prefer a visually appealing WikiPedia page. I presume he will only be performing in that arena. I think it could be summarized in prose? Are those tickets for free? Hehe. --

R203:26, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry. Im sure you'll gonna bring that to GA. When that time comes and the subject isn't hot anymore, IPs will not gonna put that table, again. Alternatively, you can discuss it with editors involved in the article. --

Protection
Hi Efe. We need move protection for the Gaga articles having the word "Gaga" in it. Some users are continuously going against consensus and moving the articles to GaGa or GAGA. What do you propose? Move protection like
Rihanna or warnings?
--Legolas(talktome)08:37, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
I see
this guy's responsible, mostly, for the recent moves. I think we can inform him instead of move protecting the page. Recent activities cannot fully justify the prot. After warnings, if they persist, we can make the protection --
Efe (
talk)
08:46, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Will do. But as you will see he previously also blanked those warnings and chose to continue with the moves. Also another user has started with the
moves. Please take a look.
--Legolas(talktome)09:07, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Ya i got fantastic pics with my cam. I'm in LA for hte past one month staying with my sister. My brother-in-law got the tickets. I saw Beyonce here at Lobo restaurant. She was without Jay-Z. Man she looks so stunning from the front. Gaga's show started with a huge screen telling about Haus of Gaga and her fab for David Warhol and Fame. Then she started with Papparazzi. You should see her bubble dress and she sang a new song called Future Love.
--Legolas(talktome)07:35, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I hope Beyonce comes there. I'm still trying to find as much reference i can regarding the show and not my
own research. By the way, one user continuously deletes teh tour dates stating
WP:NOTDIR, but notdir doesnot say anything about tour dates. What is your opinion on this?
--Legolas(talktome)07:44, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
It somewhat falls under
WP:DIR. Not quite sure. It has not been extensively discussed. IMO, tour dates aren't encyclopedic. I think you got the same concern with Realist. --

The guidelines for Wikipedia:Peer review ask that editors nominate no more than one article per day (and four total at any one time). While the rules say that one of the requests can be removed, I will let it slide since this is the first time. Take care,

Re
this comment. How and why exactly do I rewarn a user that is currently blocked and has evaded the block by resetting his modem? Continuing vandalism after being blocked doesn't require a fresh set of four warnings. And, if you have any doubt as to it being the same user, please compare
this and

Lost!
Hey Efe, listen, I found
this image of Coldplay performing "Lost!". Is this an "okay" image for the article? If so, I'll ask the author for permission, regarding the image being used on Wikipedia. If not, I'll keep looking for some more. Also, would
this image work on "Viva la Vida" and would these two images,
[1][2], work for "Yellow"? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)15:02, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for looking for those images. Not encyclopedic for the Lost! picture. Too far and unidentifiable. But if there's no other photos out there, I think its passable. The Viva is real nice. I saw their concert in Japan via MTV. The Yellow images are nice too. Got nice lights. Are the authors of those images going to permit us? --
Efe (

09:51, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Its hard, cause some users don't actually say what song it was that they took the picture of, so. But, some users do say. The author of Viva says to ask him for permission, so that's what I'm going to do, ask permission. I'm not sure for the Yellow ones, but I'll ask, anyway. Update: I've contacted the authors, just need to wait and see if they give permission. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)20:11, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)
Hey Efe, me again. Well, do you think that
this paragraph does make the page looks like a "fan page?" Also, I want to know if it is notable to the lead section. Can you help me answering these questions? Thank you. =] SparksFly19:57, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I saw it was removed yesterday. I think its fine to add it on the lead, and its real good for the improvement of the lead. What I can suggest is add an attribution of the line "is being credited as having started the 'first major dance craze of both the new millennium and the Internet'", like who said the quoted phrase, then add an inline source due to the quotation. That will save it. --

Efe - I was a bit surprised to see a nearly-instantaneous deletion of the article for the relatively new band, Among The Oak & Ash. They're fronted by a prominent musician (
Josh Joplin), who has a top 40 song and a decent amount of record sales from his previous albums/projects. While the article was a stub, I believe it is of a notable subject and would likely be expanded in the coming weeks.

For most bands or musical ensembles, they must have released albums for them to be notable and significant. In this case, they are yet to release an album. Perhaps, as of now, we can merge any useful info from Oak to Joplin's. --
