Help request
{{helpme}} There is a clock at the top-right of my page and I am not su+re what it means. I have a feeling that this is a stupid question, but what does it mean?
Hi there! I've moved your help request down to the end of your talk page; please always create a new section at the end of talk pages to start a new conversation.
The clock is one of the many things you can set in your preferences - that's the 'my preferences' link at the top of the page when you are logged in. It's in Gadgets, "Add a clock in the personal toolbar that displays the current time in UTC (which also provides a link to purge the current page".
The clock provides two functions; it can display the UTC time, which is the time wikipedia uses for lots of things. As I'm in a different time zone, it gives me a quick way of checking the 'system time'.
Also, it has a second purpose. Clicking on it does a
purge - that is, it clears the browser cache. See that link for more info.
Hi, I saw your request for help that you removed from my talk page. Feel free to ask me any question about Wikipedia at any time; the adoption system is only a formality. :) {{

Yeah, I realized that you already adopted 2 people, and I only had a few questions. Besides, I am not editing for awhile. My keyboard is broken, so I'm using on-screen keyboard, which is an extreme hassle to type with. Anyway, thanks, and I will ask you or another smart Wikipedian my future questions. --
