Your edits like this are starting to get annoying. Firstly, there's no need to use NBA or ESPN sources everywhere. You should know by now that primary sources (NBA) shouldn't be blindly used in every edit you make. And substituting other sources, for example, The Washington Post, with you preferred source (mostly ESPN) is not helping either. In addition, changing the format of the reference to your preference is also not good and that doesn't really assume good faith as it makes an impression that you're trying to "own" (no pun intended) every source that you edit. I'm not trying to degrade your edits, but there are limits. It's like someone painting their room in green and you coming changing it to different shade of that color. Please keep that in mind and remember that other users have different view than you, but that doesn't mean that your view is correct. Feel free to reply or ignore this message as I'm not trying to get into an argument over this, but remember it. – Sabbatino ( talk) 15:37, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

DaHuzyBru, I know you have an affinity for Australian NBL player articles. I was wondering if you'd consider adding Isiah Victor to your to-do list? In addition to playing for a couple of NBL teams, he was also a two-timer on the All-NBA Development League Team, and he has a corresponding article on the Italian Wikipedia already. I think he's retired from basketball, which makes writing about him easier. My queue for articles I want to write is so long that Victor won't make the cut anytime soon, but he's clearly notable and would eliminate some red links on a couple articles. Thoughts? May I ask why you felt the need to amend a perfectly well structured article? It was not lacking in sources, structure or accuracy. Your layout is far less well rounded and I do not understand why you amended it. Also, your newly added Teams section is completely unnecessary and also lacking execution in the layout, I will be removing it, it is very poor choice of means to deliver such information. I will amend a few of the layouts but will take your reference points on board. Regards. Njr65984 ( talk)

Hi, I'm thinking how we can keep the playoffs advancement verbiage to a minimum if it doesn't really concern Green, like yes, the Warriors swept the Spurs, and got the 12-0 in the playoffs, but it's not like Green had any outstanding stats or actions during that series. You can remove the quote if desired, I just needed a reference and something to back up the advancement statement. AngusWOOF ( bark • sniff) 17:23, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
The details I'm adding come from either the references given for the trade or later referenced transactions that clarify those picks.
There has been many official sources that have confirmed this. ESPN, Bleacher Report, NBA.com have all confirmed this trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drake8399 ( talk • contribs) 15:56, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

I noticed on the Michael Carter-Williams article that you said "you gotta stop this."

For what it's worth regarding Norman Powell, there is nothing at MOS:DUPLINK that says to relink at each section. As a side note, it's also excessive for most of these bios to have one section per season (though it's sometimes easier to logically group them as a player's career progresses). As someone who watches, but rarely edits, a lot of basketball articles – especially current and former Kentucky Wildcats – I appreciate both the volume and quality of edits you make to keep those pages up-to-date. Could you take a look at Isaiah Briscoe? Unfortunately, it seems he didn't make the final roster for the Blazers, but an IP editor's recent changes refer to him as "unemployed", which I'm sure is not the norm. Should the infobox and lead just say "free agent" or are more extensive changes required for the template to render correctly for a player currently without a team? Hello, DaHuzyBru.
I recently sent you an invitation to join NPP, but you also might be the right candidate for another related project,
AfC, which is also extremely backlogged. |
Plz put this reference coz for some reason it does not save for me when edited in ref form.

Per WP:PRIMARY in the first discussion there absolutely no sources used to make the "Decision" whether or not to have Australian-American placed. I have been the only one to provide proper sources. You are reverting my edit without providing any evidence to support your claim. Iv been apart of many many discussions i know sources must be used to make final decisions. It up to you and others to provide sources defending your opinions thoughts and feels on the subject. I'm proceeding ahead with my edit unless you or others can provide evidence to support he is not Australian or that it shouldn't be placed. JMichael22 ( talk) 06:21, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Im not pushing any agenda, im trying to properly get things done the correct way and excuse me Edit warring? You reverted me twice so far and I'm following Wikipedia guidelines per WP:PRIMARY. And I'm bringing it directly to your talk page due to you and I clearly being the only two that were going back and forth so I felt I should bring it to you since its better then going back and forth in a pages talk page. To reach a consensus it should be based on facts not opinions and In no do I have an agenda iv got nothing to lose or gain in this. all I'm saying is the proper information should be placed not opinionated information. Sources are what make up pages not thoughts and feelings. JMichael22 ( talk) 06:46, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Maybe it was an accidental click, but this rollback at Kyrie Irving is better to be reverted with an edit summary. Seems the platform is tagging these with "(Tag: Rollback)" now so people can have one more reason to get mad at each other. Cheers.— Bagumba ( talk) 12:23, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
Nice context you added to Luol Deng's current status. I saw dump in the added text, which seemed a bit harsh (and colloquial), but looking at the LA Times source it seems there's quite a bit of close paraphrasing of long phrases being used in your changes there. Also as Plashcke is a columnist, his tone is probably a bit more non-neutral or colorful than we'd want to use here. Do you mind taking another pass through and shoring it up? Thanks.— Bagumba ( talk) 05:15, 12 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello, could you please copy-and-paste the career history of Eban Hyams from Eurobasket.com? He has a very confusing playing career: http://basketball.asia-basket.com/player/Eban-Hyams/India/Haryana-Gold/55390
Thank you. TempleM ( talk) 20:20, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
This probably won't help with the confusion – his career is not a simple one:

2006-2007: Singapore Slingers (Singapore-NBL): 21 games: 19pts
2007: Bankstown Bruins (Australia-ABA, starting five): 20 games: 1.0ppg, 6stls, 3assts,

I see you've reverted a few times at Tristan Thompson re: center vs. centre. I don't have a strong feeling either way, other than to see the flip flopping stop. From what I can see, it was "center" for the longest time until it changed a few weeks ago. On the one hand, MOS:RETAIN says use whatever format was already established. I get MOS:TIES, but he's also been in the States since high school and has played ever since in the U.S. If this continues and you still plan on reverting, I'd suggest you get consensus on the format ( WT:NBA at least), then we can slap on Template:Canadian English editnotice to the page and editors will see the note that Canadian English is preferred. Cheers.— Bagumba ( talk) 08:48, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your message. Just as an FYI - my name is Matt McQuade and I'm the official Sydney Kings historian. I'm in the process of completing a book chronicling the (about to be) 30 season history of the club and I've worked for the club since 1999 as well as doing a ton of work for the NBL and Basketball Australia. If you want to confirm this, happy for you to contact the club's Managing Director, Jeff Van Groningen, or the current Operations Manager Lorraine Landon. There were several errors in the original Wikipedia post, which I've corrected, based on my knowledge and background and the fact I've done extensive research for the book, including several interviews with key personnel in the club. I'm happy to add the source for the change as to when the club was officially born - which was October 1987 as I wrote, not 1988. To be specific, the announcement was made on 14 October 1987 and reported on in the Sydney Morning Herald in the 15 October edition. A look at the Google News newspaper search function will confirm this.
MattMc33 ( talk) 03:50, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for that. I'll add in the link. The Kings at the moment don't have a history page as such on the website - long story and a sore spot with me at the moment. I reached out only so you'd understand I'm not making arbitrary changes to the entry - not to put too fine a point on things, but when it comes to the history of this team, I'm the expert. So given Wikipedia is currently the only online resource for the history of the Kings, I have a vested interest in ensuring that said information about the team is correct (until such time as we finally get a history section recreated on the new Kings' website). Cheers. MattMc33 ( talk) 05:09, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
Saw where you added this to Matt Hodgson (basketball)'s club history. Is that normally done? I thought that was more of a training academy than a team in a league - do I have that wrong? Rikster2 ( talk) 14:02, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
Why did you change my edit? Here is the proof. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/165611/joel-embiid https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2013/joel-embiid-15608 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timothymarcc ( talk • contribs) 07:14, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
So, rather than accepting my edit with proof, you decided to remove the entire section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timothymarcc ( talk • contribs) 16:56, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
The person who posted did not back up their sources. If they had, they would have gotten it right. Theirs was not removed...until now. Therefore, I do not know why I needed to.

Hey so you sent my pictures for deletion which is fine, i understand why but can you help me with figuring out a good solution to me editing pictures. Flickr I see is a popular way of inserting pictures but its garbage. I would like to use other pictures that would look good on the page. Is there a way to combat my issue — Preceding unsigned comment added by Babyraptor1004 ( talk • contribs) 18:46, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
I just wanted to ask why the Dwight Howard-Timofey Mozgov trade is not updated, but the Marcin Gortat-Austin Rivers trade was updated within a day. The Gortat-Rivers trade was updated because of a reliable ESPN confirmation, but the Howard-Mozgov trade was already confirmed by many reliable sources already. Just a quick question...

Once the season starts, are you OK if those types of announcements are removed from bios? I'm not asking you to remove them, just seeing what your opinion is. The thought just occurred to me when I saw it in Julius Randle. I can see it being useful to see if a rookie has signed yet or not, but as time goes on the actual date doesn't seem that important.— Bagumba ( talk) 12:27, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
Re: Kyle Anderson (basketball), I thought I saw somewhere once that we kept the team colors if they were a restricted free agent, since the last team has first-refusal rights. Now your method is simpler, but loses the “restricted” aspect, esp. if it’s not in prose. Oh well, it’s just like I dont know why we keep all free agents on team roster templtess with “FA” on them, but remove then from navboxes. Anyways, I’ll leave it to others with more interest.— Bagumba ( talk) 04:32, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

Hey - I realized today that over the last few months a user has created stubs for a vast number of Olympic Basketball players and only included their Olympic career. I spotted a number who had significant college careers and have been adding information and categories, but a number of the players are from Australia or New Zealand, and likely some had careers in the NBL. I added a bit of information to Pat Reidy, but don’t have access to much NBL info to go very far with these. If you are inclined, take a look at the master list here. Rikster2 ( talk) 23:56, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi. Firstly, yes, maybe I had to create a WP:RM before the move. When I talk about consistency with the rest of articles, I mean that all the articles about European basketball clubs that include these words in the title, appear with "BC" instead of "Basketball Club". Ireland is the only exception to this fact. Sponsors are only mentioned in the articles of the clubs and the seasons, but not in the title (see e.g. Liga ACB clubs). IMO, we should change all "Basketball Club" of the titles to "BC", but this can be discussed anywhere. Cheers. Asturkian ( talk) 09:26, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi - There is an AfD discussion for Matt Clowry, an NBL player from the 90s ( see here). He's from the "dead zone" of coverage - years before the internet - so there is limited searchable information. I have access to some newspaper databases, but they are heavily American so have limited Australian sources to draw from. Do you have anything you can add to the article of discussion? Rikster2 ( talk) 12:42, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
@ Rikster2: As it so happens, User:Duffbeerforme has gone ahead and expanded the article with similar references to the ones I rounded up i.e. from trove.nla.gov.au. I voted keep as a result. DaHuzyBru ( talk) 12:41, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
