Reference Previews are coming to many wikis as a default feature. They are popups for references, similar to the
PagePreviews feature.
You can opt out of seeing them. If you are
using the gadgets Reference Tooltips or Navigation Popups, you won’t see Reference Previews.
Deployment is planned for November 22, 2023.

Hi Blaze Wolf. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at
the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as
patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the
New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at
New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the
deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the
new page reviewer talk page or ask via the
NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:
Be nice to new editors. They are
usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page, including checking for copyright violations using
Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the
general notability guideline.
Please review some of our flowcharts (
1,
2) to help ensure you don't forget any steps.
Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the
list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies.

Developers can find some initial proof of concept code

Mentorship
When a mentor marked themselves as "Away", they were not getting their name assigned to new accounts when they returned. This has been fixed.
[21]
We improved the message received by newcomers when their mentor quits, to reduce confusion.
[22]
We worked on ensuring that all mentees are assigned to an active mentor. This required reassigning mentees with no mentors to a new mentor. We paused this as the clean-up script confused some editors. We will resume it when the identified blockers are resolved.
[23]
It is now possible to create an Abuse Filter to prevent one user from signing up as a mentor.

The lead is a bit short right now for a 66,000 byte article, perhaps it could be expanded to describe more about gameplay and how the game was marketed and received by critics. Take a look at
Elden Ring for an example of how the lead was expanded to include more information.
The footnote in the first paragraph of gameplay is unsourced, and is not very relevant to gameplay in my opinion and could possibly be removed.
Painting the ground seems to be an important part of gameplay and combat, but that really isn’t expanded upon until a later part of the gameplay section. Perhaps it can be raised and explained upon in the first paragraph?
The footnote about transporting data from Splatoon 2 is unsourced.
You don’t need to have more than three citations for a bit of information as that may be
citation overkill.
The section about TableTurf battle is quite short, and probably doesn’t need to have its own section unless further information can be included there.
Some citations appear to be inconsistently formatted: The website sources needs to either all be wikilinked, or not wikilinked at all, and they need to either all have their publishers included, or none of the publishers mentioned at all.
Maybe development can be merged into the marketing section?
The Reception section is relatively underdeveloped and is probably the biggest hurdle to getting the article promoted at FAC. It cites only 6-7 reviews when there are over a hundred on Metacritic with their own points that may agree or disagree with the current reviewers that are included. Thus, I don’t think the reception section is enough to meet
WP:FACR 1b., which intends for the article to be comprehensive.
The points made by the reviewers that are organized by paragraph, and good reception sections tend to be organized around "topic statements" where a paragraph focuses on a single theme. For example, the current reception section looks a bit more like
this article’s reception before I worked on it, while a FAC-quality reception tends to be more organized like that article's current one. You do not need to go overboard and write something like
Katana Zero's reception, but for a AAA game, more reviews and opinions need to be included generally.
As with all FACs, there will be users who make their own nitpicks about the writing style, and so I would go over
User:Tony1/Advanced editing exercises to help bring the prose up to scratch and help minimize comments on the writing.
What helped me the most was taking notes on the writing styles and format of video game FAs from about 2016 onward, so that may or may not help you. How is the writing style of their articles compared to yours? How did FAC reviewers treat the nominated article while it was a FAC? I took notes about those articles and tried to mimic them with my own to make the nomination process easier.
Alright. I believe there's a citation template for this anyway so I'll probably either add the citation saying that it's sourced to the game, or possibly find some other, more accessible, source that states this. ―

Wikeditor2024: Hi there! The problem is that you are writing an article on yourself, which usually isn't what you should do. I appreciate that you are eager to publish an article, however there's a good chance that you fail our
notability criteria. Also, since you're writing about yourself, you have a major
conflict of interest and should avoid writing this article about yourself. There's also the problem of
reliable sources. While Berytech and Arabnet might reliable (i don't know for sure), websites such as LinkedIn certainly are not. If you believe you truly are notable then someone will eventually make an article on you. ―

Not only is that not true but your grammar isn't good at all. We have ways of finding things out. "more plausible" is generally referring to theories that are more widely accepted. ―

It's totally true. If you know of any evidence for or contra of any of these theories, show it
/info/en/?search=Talk:Merlin#On_the_talk_page (there's no such evidence, not in the stories, not in the medieval commentaries nor a anyhwere). "Widely accepted" according to whom? The ref citing
Jean Markale, the rival theorist, who was a highly controversial person? Half of his Wikipedia article is "Controversy" section! And no, your "less accepted"
Gaston Paris was much higher regarded (3 times Nobel Prize nominee). But I didn't even change it make Paris "more plausible" thab Markale in turn, because WE DON'T KNOW.

There are changes to how user and site scripts load for
Vector 2022 on specific wikis. The changes impacted the following Wikis: all projects with
Vector legacy as the default skin, Wikivoyage, and Wikibooks. Other wikis will be affected over the course of the next three months. Gadgets are not impacted. If you have been affected or want to minimize the impact on your project, see
this ticket. Please coordinate and take action proactively.

Selected tools on the grid engine have been
stopped as we prepare to shut down the grid on March 14th, 2024. The tool's code and data have not been deleted. If you are a maintainer and you want your tool re-enabled reach out to the
team. Only tools that have asked for extension are still running on the grid.
The CSS filter property can now be used in HTML style attributes in wikitext.

hello to you, user! I was looking at the adopt me page on Wikipedia and thought I could be adopted by you (if you want too)! I like editing articles on Taiwanese articles because their english articles could be a lot better and more organised (and until a few hours ago, I've been obsessively adding userboxes to my user page haha). I've edited with IPs before, but understood all the WP:(insert something) language and I hope if you adopt me (or if you choose not to), I could learn a couple of things from you too! Thank you for considering and reading my application, please ask me more questions should you want/need to! Cheers to you!

It'd be a great pleasure for you to adopt me! I hope I'll be a great and fast-learing adoptee! I think the first thing is that I like to use the Chinese wikipedia articles and add information (and sources) to English wiki but I think it requires me to be extended confirmed user, which I am not. I think that's all for now! If there's anything I should know before editing Wikipedia (I already read the 5 pillars and some others), please tell me! Thank you!

@
Joséthewikier: Thanks for the ping, for whatever reason I was not notified when you replied here on my talk page. You don't necessarily have to be extended-confrimed to take things from the Chinese Wikipedia and put them on the English Wikipedia. You're mistaking it for the translation tool which does require you to be extended-confirmed. ―
