Now that the courts have decided both of Mississippi's Senate elections will be held on the same day, I have opened a new discussion about merging the two articles.
Talk:United States Senate election in Mississippi, 2008#Merge 3
I have also opened a debate about potentially splititng the special election controversy section into it's own article.
Talk:United States Senate special election in Mississippi, 2008#Split Controversy Section
Please read over each debate and weigh them on their individual merits. The subjects are not necessarily linked to each other.--

That's definitely where I'm leaning, yeah. Although, I was going to use just two colors no matter how slim the margin is, and the margin of the projection would be posted on the state (along with postal abbreviation and electoral vote total). This would be for all states. If I were to use gray for toss-up states, a certain range would have to be defined in order to determine what states should be colored gray. -- Fifty7 ( talk) 22:51, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
(Re [1]) Thanks, but it's best to indent duplicate votes rather than remove them completely. (Don't worry, I made this mistake before also). – xenocidic ( talk) 14:05, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
You're getting lots of tips today! Did you know you don't have to copy the entire code for a userbox onto your page? You can just transclude it be using the code {{location of userbox here}}. For example, the most recent userbox you added to your page could've been added simply by adding {{User:LightSpectra/Userboxes/MT}} to your page. This should help keep your userpage less cluttered. – xenocidic ( talk) 20:20, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Pretty good but you might want to use tables to tame those userboxen. See my userboxen subpage for an example. – xenocidic ( talk) 22:38, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Could you do me a favor and review the United States Senate election in Oregon, 2008. I removed a polling part that included two candidates that have dropped out. Another editor reverted the edit. The point is , that with the candidated gone, why should it be kept there. It really serves no purpose. I came to you because you have been helpful to me in the past, and I was hoping you could look into this issue. Please respond on my talk page, as I am pasting what I put here on to there. Thank you so much. America69 ( talk) 18:04, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the birthday wish! Now if only that cake was real... Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 06:18, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your support in my recent RfA, which closed successfully. I felt the process was a thorough review of my contributions and my demeanor, and I was very gratified to see how many editors took the time to really see what I'm about and how I can be of help to the project. As a result, some editors changed their views during the discussion, and most expressed specific, detailed points to indicate their opinion (whether it was , , or ).
A number of editors were concerned about my level of experience. I was purposeful in not waiting until a particular benchmark occurred before requesting adminship, because I feel - as many do - that adminship is not a reward and that each case is individual. It is true that I am not the most experienced editor around here, but I appreciate that people dug into my contributions enough to reach the conclusion that I seem to have a clue. Also, the best thing about this particular concern is that experience is something an editor - or administrator - can always get more of, and I'll continue doing that, just as I've been doing. (If I seem a little slow at it, feel free to slap me.)
Thanks for your early support - it was helpful to have some encouraging words!
I am a strong believer in the concept that this project is all about the content, and I'm looking forward to contributing wherever I can. Please let me know if I can be of any help. In the meantime, I'm off to school...
Thanks again!

http://www.nhpoliticalinfo.com/2008/11/nh-2010-senate-race-makes-line.html
as a source for Paul Hodes.
I was looking at it, and I wondered your opinion. It seems as though it's just the author floating speculation, he doesn't even source where he hears it coming from. Do you know aything about it, where he hears that Hodes and John Stephens for CD-1 in 2010 is interested? BrianY ( talk) 04:58, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Have a beer on me.
Let the amber nectar flow all day and night. Let it run down the mountains and through the caverns and across the rich lawns to swamp the streets. Let it rain beer. Let the heavens open and shine forth beer. Let it all be beer. Wonderful beer. And let it be as deep as the heart of a lion.

Regarding your recent edits to United States Senate election in New Hampshire, 2010, removing the polling done assuming Gregg would be Commerce Secretary and therefore not running for reelection, I reinserted it because the Wikipedia policy (I don't remember the link shortcut) is that an election is a historical event, not a tally sheet. Therefore, if it was noteworthy at one point, it's noteworthy even if the facts on the ground change. Besides, Gregg could still announce his retirement before the election, hypothetically. -- Muboshgu ( talk) 22:09, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

I've been following this RFA somewhat closely, as his interests somewhat seem to parallel mine. Given that, and given your !vote and comment, what would you advise me to work on and to be careful with? I get blowback from vandalism patrol, and I'm wondering how that would look in an RfA- in other words, is that a normal/safe thing? Or does it reflect poorly on me? You can see some things I've been collecting here and here. tedder ( talk) 19:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. Thanks for your work on all the articles about ongoing races. I noticed that when you add polling data from Rasmussen, you've been linking to their articles/press releases. When they update their data, though, they post the release for the new data at the same address, which results in all the links for an entire cycle's polls directing to only the most recent data.
At the bottom of those articles, there's usually a link to the toplines, which have static addresses and will maintain their utility as a source. Thanks again. — Bdb484 ( talk) 21:57, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

There were no sources posted on the page and I could not find any sources specifically mainstream sources ( CNN, Politico.com, RealClearPolitics, etc). Even what you provided is only one credible source. There still is no mainstream independent source. And those are preliminary results I am pretty sure.-- Metallurgist ( talk) 05:37, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. MBisanz talk 01:56, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Elections and Referendums#Polling. — Markles 10:40, 21 July 2010 (UTC) (Using {{ Please see}})
What happened?— Markles 17:57, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Hey. I put the competitive election summeries in a seperate article to make it easier for casual readers, and not to mention that the races by state section had a lot of material. The only thing I did was copy and paste. But I also have other material on the page that deals with the swing districts of the past two election cycles. So, I hope to eventually merge the two sections together, having the race rating, summery (which you made), and the results of the past two election cycles. Doing this, we will give readers a full analysis of the 2010 elections.-- Jerzeykydd ( talk) 02:31, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
You've added a bunch of new polls recently to some articles. Please be sure to put them in the correct place according to chronological order. Some polls read "Then->Now" and others are "Now->Then." While we've come to a consensus at WikiProject Elections and Referendums to do them "Then->Now," not all of the articles are consistent with this consensus. Please be sure that when you're adding data that you put it in the right place according to that article. Thanks!— Markles 14:18, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
