{{ helpme}} Hi, this morning I posted to the site a new article that was quickly deleted. The administrator cited "G12: Unambiguous Copyright Infringement." I did use several direct quotations from print publications, but I provided references for each. Does Wikipedia have specific restrictions on the use of direct quotations?

Hello and thank you for the very nice note. It is in fact OK to use short quotes when describing a subject, but the article looked to me as if it were mostly cribbed from the other source rather than merely borrowing from it.
