Please do not add material to wikipedia which is copyright or has been lifted in whole or part from a company brochure. Thank you. Dormskirk ( talk) 23:19, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
This is a further polite request. I have performed a web search with the contents of John Laing plc, and it appears to include extensive material from http://www.laing.com/uploads/100th%20Investment_Final_PRINT_v2.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Dormskirk ( talk) 21:39, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

As you can see, I got a little carried away, but good faith was assumed, a line of communication opened, and the issue resolved. |
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible. If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Hello 37.130.248.34, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Rutebega ( talk) 23:31, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Rutebega ( talk) 23:32, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
