Print and electronic communications media for corporate and pension fund clients
Wordshop is the trading name of Clarke Elliot Norman Associates Limited, an independent design and communications agency specialising in pension fund communications.
The company is based in Sherborne, Dorset, England. It has approximately 15 employees, including copywriters, graphic designers and account handlers.
History
Wordshop was founded in 1988 by Sue Clarke, Graham Norman and Julia Elliot. It was originally set up to provide general copywriting services for corporate clients.
Julia Elliot’s previous experience of setting up a pension scheme for a large UK company gave Wordshop the opportunity to enter the niche field of pension fund communications. This coincided with a growing awareness in the industry of the importance of providing clear and jargon-free communications to pension scheme members, and also increasing regulation governing this field. Over time, pension scheme communication has become Wordshop’s core business.
